This book is ok. A little dry as far as info goes. I don't know what i expected, but to be honest had i read it before i bought it, i don't think i would have. It is alright and there is alot of info in it but i am not sure it suits me. But i am sure there are people out there who will find it absolutely great.

Floral business
I am in the process of opening a small floral business and this book provided me with much insight into what I am hoping to do. I did hope to see more forms and documents on the CD as what was there was also illustrated in the book. No regrets regarding the purchase.

She breaks the business down into pieces and details the peaks and valley of the business and taught me to think of it as a business with a product. I was surprised in her chapter about the ins and outs of daily business exactly how much work, organization and planning went into the daily running of a floral shop.

I found her information about creating a successful online presence to be particularly helpful. I know without this book, I would not have been prepared for the world of the floral industry and I would recommend this to anyone from the shop owner to the floral enthusiast.

GORGEOUS!
I bought this book for my step mom for her birthday, and before wrapping it I looked through the entire thing. I wanted to keep it for myself! The content is up-to-date and the step-by-step instrections are very clear. I loved how relevant and trend right the featured arrangements were.

Wonderfully detailed step-by-step instructions
This book provides very detailed step-by-step instructions for many different styles of flower arrangements. I was very surprised to find that all the instructors/designers generously shared their personal techniques and their interpretations of natural beauty of plant and flower materials. Reviewers who found this book not to be very helpful please read more carefully cover-to-cover. I assure you will learn some new and invaluable lessons.

Pretty pictures, but not much more
Eileen Johnson's "The Art of Floral Arranging" is a beautiful book, but definitely not a "how to" guide. I purchased it expecting to see basic floral design techniques that I could use to make gifts and arrangements for my house. But while the photos are gorgeous, the book does not feature the kind of step by step instruction that I'd hoped for. If you want pretty pictures, "The Art of Floral Arranging" is a good choice. But if you're looking for the "how-to's" of flower design, try your local craft store or community college instead!

Gorgeous!
This book is beautiful and her school is fabulous. Treat yourself to both! And buy lots of flowers when you create an arrangement...it's the only way to have a lush look, even when the final product is small.

Great but...
The book is great and has great tips and amazing pictures. I will agree with another review that has been written; the binding is terrible! I got the book last night and the binding is already falling apart. It could be the size of the book but they need to think about coming out with a different edition with different binding! Other than that, it's very enjoyable.

Love it but....
the binding on this book came completely apart after 2 days.. Other than that the book is wonderful!! Beautiful, bright, vivid pictures along with straight to the point material. Great book to have on hand!

Big, bright, informative, and useful
This is a really useful, extremely attractive book. The pages are big, the pictures are bright and colorful and true-to-nature, and all the flowers that a typical gardener can reasonably expect to encounter in his or her hobby are covered (yep, A to Z). The tips on the individual flowers are concise and instructive, covering buying, planting, caring for, cutting, arranging, everything of flowers. The book starts with a general information section which may not be of much interest to a well-experienced flower gardener, but I found it helpful and again, very informative. And while it may be the weather or pure luck, our flower garden this year is looking better and more prosperous than it ever has. If you are serious about your flowers, you ought to seriously consider purchasing this book.
