Dissapointed, especially for the size and price
Bottle is way too small.. you will need a decent amount of lotion to cover your face. Face will still feel tight if you dont put enough on, so the bottle wont last you very long. honestly i prefer the cheap alchohol based "SkinBracer" aftershave over the Proraso.. funny since I have very sensitive skin..

Does what it does well.
As with all of the Proraso products I have tried, this one performs well. It goes on creamy but is absorbed quickly and gives instant relief from all of the after effects of a good close shave. It is lightly scented when applying but even that fades quickly, so for all intents and purposes it is unscented. I have had no issues with residue and no ill effects at all with this product. I recommend it without hesitation.

Best Balm Around
Started using Proraso products since visiting Italy all their products are used by the majority of barbers in Italy.Prorasos line of shaving supplies are the best in the world as far as quality goes.You get what you pay for.Everytime I shave the Proraso balm or aftershave smell remind me of mornings in Tuscany.

Excellent After Shave Balm
I bought this aftershave balm after doing a bit of research, and I am very pleased. This balm seems to do a very good job of keeping the skin on my face moisturized for a longer period of time than most aftershave balms that I have used. This aftershave balm is relatively thick (compared to some of the others I have used like Nivea, Adidas, Old Spice, and some other miscellaneous P&G products). The other balms that I have used were good, but I think this Proraso is a cut above the rest. You definitely pay for that premium, but if you don't want your skin to start showing signs of flaky dryness after 4-6 hours, this Proraso balm is your best bet.

As with any Proraso product, I feel like I use less of it per "use" than comparable products. 100ml of this balm is probably more like 133ml of another brand's aftershave balm.

The smell is very calm and soothing. This won't overpower a cologne (which I think is nice), but then again, I rarely wear cologne. I will probably stick with this for now because it is my favorite aftershave balm to date.

Proraso After Shave
This product has been around for many, many years and used by many, many people worldwide for a reason. I first found this product in a specialty Italian food grocery store and it was on sale there for a reason. I tried it about 20 years ago and I have been a user ever since.

Soothing and not Greasy
I have been using this daily now for the last month since switching to shaving with a double edged safety razor. It goes on light and soaks in quickly. Seems similiar to Nivea but maybe a little milkier. No stinging or greasy feeling from this stuff. What this does for me most importantly is keeps my razor burn down to nothing. The scent is very very mild and dissipates quickly. I have normal skin and this moisturizes perfectly.

Smell good
Want to smell good? This does the trick. Combined with Clubman talc it makes a complete after bath freshner.

Smells like a barber shop!
In this day and age, men's fragrances are usually sold from behind glass at a department store, with scents that go from fruity to nutty to musky to whatever. But there's something about Clubman aftershave that makes me forget about unisex hair salons and makes me think of a barber shop (complete with the red and blue pole outside, sitting and reading papers and magazines until your turn in the chair comes up, and the sound of snipping scissors and the smalltalk you get from your barber. It's fresh and clean, and doesn't cost $40 and up.

Great Scent
I began using this aftershave when I began shaving with a straight razor. To me, it's part an overall theme... remembering days of old (although I'm only 31). The scent of this aftershave is great, and the alcohol provides a great antiseptic quality that kills any bacteria that may be left from the shave. I follow up with some moisturizer once the aftershave dries, as the alcohol will dry out your skin. The vanilla scent is also very nice... does not really smell of vanilla at all.

okay but not great
An otherwise fine product, but I have the following two issues.

1) As someone else pointed out, it's not that great for the rest of the face. Better only for the shaved area.

2) It does not have any sun protection (SPF), which makes it an incomplete moisturizer in my opinion.

Better than what my dad uses.
Im 16 and I started shaving about a year ago. I initially started using an electric shaver but I didn't really like it that much. So I asked my dad to pass off some of his "REAL" shaving stuff. He did. One of those things was the Gillette Series After Shave Gel, Sensitive Skin, 2.54 Ounces. I tried it and did what after shave is supposed to do, except, dry out my skin like crazy!!

So I went to the drug store and picked this product up. WOW! What a difference! It's a great after shave! It smells good! and it doesn't dry out my skin! It's AWESOME!!!!!! Buy it now! You won't regret it!

Just for the shaved area of your face
I applied this all over my face thinking it would moisturize and tighten the pores of my face. It was not as good for my entire face. It is excellent as an after shave. It minimized the razor burn feel you get after shaving.

Nice And Lite
I have been using this product for several years now, and have foung it to be a nice aftershave balm during the spring, summer and fall seasons. It does not go on heavy, and has a nice, lite fragrance. The pores on my face tend to "clog-up" during the warm season, but this product has not caused me any problems or concerns.

not soothing, not moisturizing, and smelly
I thought I'd try this based on the reviews, but for me it did not work. I use an electric 'wet' shaver. When putting this on, I could feel a tingly stinging sensation, it made my skin feel dry and sore, not moisturized. It also had a strong 'manly' odor (as my fiancé put it). Long story short, I tried it once and sent it back.

A wonderful sensation
I finally "opened my eyes" recently and have switched from using cartridge shavers/canned shaving foams/ etc to the way shaving was meant to be done. Based upon the reviews, I purchased this product along with the Proraso shaving creme. Just two shaves in, I feel like I've emerged from the Dark Ages into the Light. This creme smells great, and feels incredibly great on my face and head (I also shave my head). I no longer feel my face burn and hours later, the scent lingers and the cooling sensation persists. I'll never go back to the overmarketed, overhyped days of "fast food" shaving.

I didn't think it was possible
In the year since I changed to safety razor shaving I have enjoyed the smoothest shaves. It's become an enjoyable experience to shave.

So on a lark, I decided to check into different aftershaves. There are splashes, lotions, and cremes. I got caught up in some reviews and ended up curious to try out Proraso Pre and Post shave cream. It's a luxury purchase for me - so I have been all about enjoying it.

Proraso has no alcohol in it. it doesn't burn when applied- even after shaving.

Proraso has menthol oils in it, so you get a clean and cool feel to your face after shaving.

Applying it before shaving allows the razor to glide with less friction and pulling of hair. Add a new razor blade and you're on your way to the most incredible shave ever. It's a more enjoyable experience.

I was concerned about how small the 3.6 ounces is and how long it would last. It's a thick cream, so just a little bit is appropriate for the face. This isn't like a splash, where you have to use a lot to cover the face. I shave every other day, and I estimate this will last me about 2-3 months.

So if you're into shaving and want to try a luxury product, I would recommend Proraso Pre and Post shave cream.

Great Preparation for that perfect shave
This cream will get your beard ready for that perfect shave. As soon as you apply it, you will feel the warmth of the cream. After applying it, go with the Proraso shaving cream tube and execute the shave. After shaving, rub a dime size amount on your beard for a fresh feeling.

Some of you have likely seen my review on the Merkur Safety Razor, as well as the Proraso Shaving Soap. Well, I decided to take the plunge on a good pre-shave. I've used pre-shaves before and found them extremely lacking, especially in the softening department. For the record, this stuff works very well as a base for your shaving soap. It's got moderately strong menthol as well as a hint of eucalyptus behind it, and it will definitely clear your sinuses in the morning when coupled with a fresh, hot shower. And no, it does not smell like Noxzema. Noxzema has a sort of "creamy mint" smell, like Mint Chocolate ice cream. This one smells like you're standing in a eucalyptus forest.

I'd like to also go on record by saying that if you apply this first without fully rubbing it in, then apply the Proraso Shaving Soap directly on top, you'll experience such a relaxing sensation...it's hard to describe, almost spa-ish in nature. As if the barber shop were dead in the center of some spa. Trust me, it feels really good, and the blade glides right over to take the hairs out, even the stubble where you might not have had luck in the past. Your face will cool down quite a bit, almost like applying Icy-Hot.

The key is to apply this on a wet face. Applying it on a dry face is all fine and good, but then you're not benefiting fully from the moisture that is released when the cream interacts with the water. Also, it touts itself on Amazon as a pre-and-post shave cream...my honest opinion? The smell is too strong for a post-shave. I would opt something that is a little more subtle, such as the Proraso Menthol and Allantoin Aftershave Splash, which has a very light BRUT-ish smell to it, not nearly as strong as BRUT though, and it will settle in nicely while still giving you the same smooth skin.

Overall, highly recommended for a quality shave, not personally recommended as an aftershave. My opinion.

A very pleasant product
I now have a difficulty in finding that product in France. I think that Gillette has changed products and is going to abandon the present one. I will regret it a lot because it is the best After Shave that I have tested until now. It is fresh and good-smelling and of course much efficent.

Cool and Refreshing
Unlike other gel aftershaves, Gillette Series dries to a nice clean finish without a greasy residue. But it doesn't dry out your skin either and is very refreshing. It doesn't burn or irritate your face like most liquid after shaves, but provides a long lasting coolness, and also soothes any razor burn. And you can also use it between shaves to tone up your skin. I think it's a very good product!

An Aftershave Gel... cool
I love it. Gone are the days of astringent after shaves which burn and come in very strong overpowering scents. This gel has a subtle clean smell, and doesn't make you want to scream after a close shave. so long ago my first bottles were the larger taller 10 ounce versions with real lead caps made in bermuda

-and its not the same
not real green glass -its painted over with clear green

-not as robust and fresh and lime peel scented as once

worth the money
Very good product. This is the first time I have used it, but am very satisfied. Rather a soft fragrence that does not announce your presence to the world with a drum, but a violin. Perhaps not the scent for a young stud in a singles bar, but for a gentleman who will last the evening. If you sometimes wear a coat and tie; give it a try.

Excellent Aftershave, I have been searching for a gentle refreshing nice Lime scent for years, this is it. It is not strong, it is just enough - After shave is not meant to be overpowering and it is meant to be refreshing and imply a clean feel with intoxicating smell up close. This is the one that does it. My wife loves it and I have even noticed a few looks of "nice" from co-workers after they have gotten close during meetings and or discussions. It is perfect and it is a smell and after shave that I like a lot. The one who wears it is the true judge; all the others just sanction the fact that it is the right choice. Well worth the money. Only one minor complaint - The white cap is not securely glued to the metal crown top and will come out after about 10 uses. Not to worry though, a little super glue fixes the problem. But it is the little things like this that make a complete quality product raise the level to perfection. With this minor flaw, I give it a 99 out of a 100. Fix the QA problem with the cap and it is 100 out of a 100. No doubt! You will absolutly love it and not regret the purchase. I will be using this one for years to come!

Old Faithful
I have used Royall Lyme off and on for many a year. It is excellent now, and it was excellent waaaaaaay back then. However, the manufacturer has shifted production from Bermuda to the mainland, and has altered the label from "native limes" to "nature limes." That is really kind of duplicitous. I don't care all that much if Royall Lyme is made in Bermuda or the USA so long as its quality is intact, but don't try to lead people into fooling themselves to believe that this product is truly the same in every respect as it had been. Where are you going to move production facilities to next: China? There is plenty of precedence for that kind of thing. The fact that Royall Lyme actually came from Bermuda added more dimension to it, both psychologically and emotionally.

A classic aftershave
I got Tabac for a gift around 40 years ago but found it hard to find and stopped using it. After recently purchasing it on Amazon I was immediately reminded why I liked it. It's a refreshing aftershave and has a great fresh scent.

Best fragrance ever
This is the best Men's after shave fragance available. It is sweet and very mild. I have been using Tabac since 1988. I am glad that Amazon has the best price anywhere for this product. Many people ask me about my after shave, I'm hesitant to give the the name. I would not like everyone to have it.

I have been wearing Tabac since 1967 and have received many others as gifts but none are as fresh and pleasant as this. It is also not overpowering. People often mention how nice it smells and ask me what it is.
