Minty Lip Balm
This is my first purchase of Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm and I really like it. The flavor is minty and keeps my lips moist. Good product.

Not for everyone
My co-worker recommended Burt's, and practically every reviewer loves this balm, but it actually seemed to make my lips worse. This seemed to dry out my lips; my lips peeled a lot more when I used this, and I've tried many lip balms! This and SoftLips are two balms I would never buy, because they just don't work well with my body chemistry. My boyfriend, who's very frugal, bought this even though he could buy cheap 50 cents generic balm, because he likes it that much. That coming from a guy who usually doesn't care if his lips are dry. So I would say it works great for many people, just not me.

Our Other Favorite!!!
Very much like this peppermint scented lip balm! Has a cooling (due to the peppermint), soothing texture that protects well and leaves my lips feeling soft, moisturized and refreshed. Slightly thicker texture than Burt's Bees Replenishing (Pomegranate) Lip Balm, but not as thick feeling as plain ChapStick. Untinted. Keeps my lips from being chapped, especially in cold or dry weather. Much prefer it over other brands. Good for everyday use, but slightly prefer the Burt's Bees Replenishing (Pomegranate) Lip Balm at night. All natural, too. Not too expensive. Love it!

Makes your kisser slicker
I know I should be using this as a preventative. However it is usually one of those after the fact things. This animal will not rip your lips off if they are sensitive. It also does not smell like you have been kissing a koala.

BEST OF THE LIP BALMS!
Happened on to this product when I was out on the California desert. Was having a big problem with the most popular brand and decided I needed a change. I love the Burt's Bees stuff. A bit of a tingle, great smell, and no negative reaction from my lips. I find that I don't use it as often as the more popular brand as it seems to be a denser covering (Hey? Bees Wax is better? Imagine!). Not cheep stuff but good for the lips and good to smell.

Great product for hot or cold climates
I was so pleased to find that I could order this product on line. I could only buy it in stores and they all discontinued this effective product. We lived in frigid NY for years and now live in toasty NC. It works wonderfully well in both climates to keep lips moist and unchapped. Great, effective lip balm.

Good
Got these today, they work well, only problem was with the heat here in Charlotte, NC. All of the had melted a bit inside the tubes. I hope the cool off and harden again. Other that these are nice.

Finding the Good Stuff
We have used Mentholatum Natural Ice Lip Balm for decades. It is not wax like Capstick, it is not Grease like Blistex. It medicates and protects when applied before being out in summer or winter. It heals chapped lips, noses, and other skin quickly. We call it the GOOD STUFF. When backpacking or Canoeing with teens and others and someone says, "Anybody have some Chapstick?" several of us who use Mentholatum Natural Ice will reply, "Let's make a convert!" Then they use Natural Ice and discover how good it truly is. The only problem is our local pharmacy that stocked Natural Ice was bought out by a chain that does not offer Natural Ice. Amazon has a new customer; we bought 2 boxes and took some to our daughter in another state.

Best Brand
I have used this product for years but it has become impossible to find locally so I went online. You have to buy in quantity but it's worth it. I will continue to use it.

I was so excited to find this online, because the stores around me stopped carrying this brand. I've been using it for the past 7 years, and I highly recommend it. At first I just got it because it was cheap, but even now that I have to pay a little more to get it online I buy it because I think it's a great product. I love the ice sensation from this chap-stick.

sooooooo disappointing
had such high hopes for the product from the other reviews. Sadly, smells like foul dog treats/wet dog/dog food/ick...smell so bad I can't even give them as gag gifts. too bad.

Warning: Women will not kiss you
I ordered this as a gift for my friend who is a HUGE bacon lover, with extra to spare for myself and anyone else I felt like gifting.

Upon arrival, I applied nearly immediately, and snuck up on my wife to give her a smooch. She figured out SUPER fast what was going on, and pulled away. This, from a woman who loves bacon.

Apparently love of bacon does not extend to lips for women. My friend's experience with his wife was pretty similar.

That said, the love of women is really not necessarily that important when your lips taste like bacon that you can enjoy on your own... However, the bacon taste on this tube of flavor is ehhh. The flavor that really comes through is smoke more than bacon...more like slightly overcooked bacon.

All in all, this is a fun experiment to try out, but I doubt you'll be using it as your daily lip balm. Better stick to its use a fun gift (or mid-day minor bacon escape).

My wife hated this stuff.
I'm a creative gift-giver, so when I saw this product, I thought my bacon-loving/ chap-stick wearing wife would totally love it. Not so.

I purchased based on reviews, as a diet-aide joke for some of my friends. Only one of them was brave enough to try it (I couldn't after taking one whiff). The brave soul could not wipe it off fast enough. Dogs might love the stuff - but humans, save your money!

the best lip balm ever!!
I love this, especially in the cold and dry winter, where my lips get chapped and so dry that they sometimes bleed. Some of the other "chap sticks" are ok, but leave my lips feeling a bit greasy. This one doesn't. It makes my lips need nice and soft, even in the middle of winter. This product has me sold on lip balm and I am now a big fan. I use it daily.

Read my (unchapped) lips...
I have been using this lip balm for years. And like many other reviewers, have found it hard to find in local stores. Thank goodness for amazon and the 12-pack box! When you have that wind burned, chapped feeling, just put on a little Cherry Ice and you'll feel it start working. Been blowing your nose too much and have a bit of Kleenex rash? Just put a little Cherry Ice on your finger and rub it on. Don't waste more time and money with ordinary, waxy balms that really don't fix the problem. We keep them in our coat pockets, ski jackets, cars, purses and nightstands, plus back-ups in the hall closet. Highly recommended!

Smooth, silky, and sinks in quick!
I have been using this lip balm for almost a week now, and cannot come up with enough good things to say about it. It glides on very smoothly, and feels a little more slick than most lip balms. The thin texture means there isn't too much gunk on your lips and it sinks in easily. It is untinted, and adds a subtle shine without glitter or colour- my boyfriend is always stealing mine, because he loves it too! On top of that, it is unflavoured and unscented, so I'm not forever wanting to lick my lips, so it stays in place a lot longer. I noticed with the weather warming my lips were chapping far more easily, so I gave this a try, and couldn't be more pleased. After just a week of use my lips are much smoother (and more kissable! ;) ). This has become a staple for me in a very short time; I keep one in my purse, one in my pocket, and one in my makeup box at home. For women (or men) looking for a balm to repair your sore cracked lips, a major moisture boost, and added sun protection, this is absolutely the balm to buy.

My lips never had it so good
I always have Nivea Kiss of Moisture within reaching distance. It goes on smooth, not chunky and no overpowering tutti-fruity smell! Sufficient protection for daily wear, but I agree with other users about wanting more if you are playing softball or skiing or out in the sun for extended periods.

Good, but inferior to the original "Essential" version
If I had not first tried the original "Essential" version of Nivea's 'A Kiss of Moisture' lip balm (Nivea A Kiss of Moisture Essential Lip Care - .17 oz.), I would think this "Hydrating" version was excellent. I bought this version because I thought it would be like the original plus have the benefit of light sunscreen protection. But despite the two versions' lists of ingredients seeming about identical, the original feels much more substantial when applied; and I believe it stays in place longer.

Some would describe the feel of the original version as being more waxy and thick. It may be, but I prefer it. By comparison, this "Hydrating" version feels slippery and thin. It might be doing the real work of protection and therapy (it seems to work well enough), but to me the original "Essential" version feels as if it is much better able to do the work.

Best lip balm i've used!!
I like this b/c its low in spf (when you're going to the beach of something, then you'd wanna use some spf 30 waxy lip balm) so it's very light, not sticky, and very very moisturizing!! I initially had a lipbalm that was high in spf, which was good for going outdoors, but if I was just going to go somewhere w/o as much sun exposure, it'd feel very poor clogging, so this lib balm is GREAT!! VERY MOISTURIZING!!

Kissy Kissy!
I switched over to this lip balm after trying Chap-stick, Aquaphor and other products for years. The Nivea balm goes on velvety smooth and doesn't leave your lips feeling greasy or looking shiny. It's more like a lotion that absorbs into the lips.
The only problem is that I have to rinse it off every day with warm water and (for me) a microfiber cloth. Otherwise, I end up with a layer of film that eventually cracks and peels off after a couple days. If I skip using the balm for a day or two, my lips get really dry but don't peel the same way. Maybe it's a medical thing, but I would think that using the balm every day would heal them.
All in all though, it's a good deal, as 6 tubes should last for years!

Love the Lips
I ordered this product after watching Dr. Sanjay Gupta's segments on Sunday mornings on CNN. He suggested logging on to [...] (Environmental Wellness Group), so I did. The site rated sunscreens from 0-10, 0 being safest and most effective and 10 being the most dangerous (in terms of active ingredients and lack of effectiveness). Based on EWG's recommendation, I went with the Badger Sunblock Lip Balm as well as the Badger Sunblock. The Badger Sunblock Lip Balm goes on smoothly, doesn't feel waxy, has a slight sheen but not glossy (so guys can use it too) and is flavorless. It also seems to stay on pretty well while I'm swimming (home swimming pool -- haven't tried freshwater or saltwater swimming yet).

Sorry, I really wanted to like this stuff, but it's to white & chalky. It would be good if I were just going to lay in the sun at the beach, but I use it to play golf & the guys are asking whay's going on with my lips. For the beach I would have rated it higher. It goes on smooth and it does stay on.

Turns your lips white
My only complaint about this chapstick is that it turns your lips white. I am not able to wear it out everyday as I expected I would.

Worked great on my Kids
I like how the zinc oxide gives the balm a hint on white. This helped me make sure lips were completely covered with protection.

Nothing more than sunscreen for your lips
As far as I can tell, this is the same thing as the regular Badger sunscreen, except in stick form, so it comes with the same drawbacks - the same heavy gooey feel and thick white film. It also has the same smell, which I really enjoyed in the sunscreen, but is quite a different story when it's on your lips and you have to taste it.

Given that it's labeled as a 'lip balm', I expected it to be clear and moisturizing. I was hoping I could replace my chapstick with it. However, this product is quite different. I applied it when my lips felt a bit dry without thinking to look in the mirror, and when my boyfriend saw my face, he was in tears laughing... my lips were covered in a thick, bluish-white film. Moreover, they felt even more dry than before... I had basically slopped a bunch of sunscreen on top of my chapped lips. It wasn't until afterwards that I read the part of the directions that states, 'a little goes a long way' - you really need to dot your lips gently with as little as humanly possible, and then rub it in, but even that doesn't get rid of the drying feeling or the sunscreen-y taste.

In the end, this product left me wondering, 'what is the point of buying a separate sunscreen for my lips, instead of just using the same one I'm using on the rest of my body?' I am now using Badger sunscreen on my body and an SPF Moisturizer (Devita, which is wonderful and inexpensive!) on my face and lips, to great results.

Original Mint: Best lip balm ever! No, seriously!
This is, by far, the best lip balm I've ever used in my life! Yes, it's really worth $7!

Check out the short ingredient list: all plant butters and oils (except for the sunscreen, of course). No petrolatum, lanolin, or mineral oil. Free of preservatives, artificial flavors, sweeteners, and fragrances.

The intense natural mint is very cooling and soothing. A fresh burst that really refreshes my mental focus during the day. The strong mint is about on par with the minty strength of Burt's Bee's original stick. (Which some people find way too strong) Do not get this if you don't love mint!

Nice thick texture feels great and stays put. Deeply moisturizing and protective. Not super glossy. But no mattifying ingredients either.

I wish I could buy it by the case!

The best lip balm.. and I've tried them all..
Lip Balm is very important to me, and one of the workers at Sephora recomended that I try this once when I was on vacation and needed lip balm fast. This is now the only Lip Balm I use. It's tingling mint flavor feels nice on lips, and it really moisturizes without being sticky or greasy looking. Even though it's from a men's care line, this lip balm is great for everyone. I am glad it has an spf 25 as well.

Great SPF, nice moisturizing base, but why oh WHY the mint?!
This product has a great SPF including avobenzone for UVA protection (which is crucial for daytime skincare as lips don't "burn" like face and body skin does but are definitely susceptible to signs of premature ageing from unprotected sun exposure). It also has a lovely moisturizing base. So why spoil this otherwise exceptional formulation with the inclusion of mint, which serves no skincare benefit but DOES cause irritation, especially to chapped, dry lips?

I gave this a try as the base formula (aside from the mint) looked too good to resist. Alas, upon applying the product to my lips they were burning and tingling and I rushed to remove the product (and promptly returned it to place of purchase).

I emailed Jack Black and requested a non-flavoured formula (or at least a nonvolatile flavouring like vanilla, chamomile or almond) but this was over a year ago and it seems they were not interested in my suggestion as the only version of this product available remains the mint formula. What a shame as, without the mint, this product would be superb.

Great product, Less than ideal packaging
I was in Nordstroms when they were having a Jack Black products promotion. I bought a bunch of great stuff but the lip balm was easily the best in the bunch. It has a pleasant minty taste. It's not greasy or oily and actually makes your lips feel better in no time at all. I used to use couple of other products but retired them to my night stand, keeping this product in my pocket exclusively. The only glitch (and the reason for only 4 stars on a 5 star product) was the weak plastic tube packaging. My tube cracked and leaked in my pocket. I had to use scotch tape to repair and get the last bit out of the tube. Aside from that, this is a great lip balm that works better than anything else I have tried.

My go-to chapstick!
I got this free with a sunscreen. It has spf 15 without the smell or taste of sunscreen! Makes my lips appear just balmy, no added color or such. Doesn't make them white. VERY moisturizing and long wearing. Must buy!

Best lip balm for me!
Amazon delivered this 8 pack of lip balm in no time and I am so happy! I have placed them all over the house and in my purse. My old lip balm that I have been using for 15 years or so stopped working, so I figured why not try one of my favorite brands Neutrogena. I was not disappointed. My lips are soft, smooth, lipstick ready and it lasts for a long time on my lips. I love the 15SPF a must for the hot summers!

Can't beat Neutrogena for "chapstick"
My lips chap very easily and I also get fever blisters from wind and sun exposure. I have tried practically every lip protection product out there. There is nothing better than Neutrogena. I prefer the older variety, but they don't seem to make it anymore. The "Norwegian Formula" is the replacement. Seems about as good so far, maybe a tiny bit waxier than the original but still better than most. The sun and wind protection seem to be just as great.

item great; service bad
The product is excellent; I highly recommend it and have a
stick in almost every room for my convenience. HOWEVER, I had ordered a "pack of eight" and after waiting three weeks and con-
tacting the seller twice I received only 7 of the eight ordered

The best by far!!
I've used like every type of lip balm and Chapstick junk you can find, and this stuff, for sure is the absolute best!! I'm not sure about the other scents, but the original is amazing. I've noticed that with most other lip balms, that you have to reapply it, it almost seems that your lips become addicted to them and that it needs it in order to stay moist. Well not with this stuff. I put it on at night before I go to bed and my lips are soft and smooth for a few days.

Real lip therapy for men
Why bother spending $6 on Jack Black lip balm? Easy...women are into soft lips all year long. Put this on every night before bed...or during the day after you eat/brush. You won't need much, and the natural ingredients and lack of petrolatum means your lips will not shine like a Vegas showgirl's. (By the way...keep it clean...wash your hands and squeeze some on your finger tip.) Look, if you have ever spent more than $8 on a pair of socks, or then you get it. The good stuff costs more for a reason.

I LOVE this balm! It's not heavy or waxy. Your lips will soak this in (not just sit on top of them). The taste is minty and fresh without being over-powering. Jack Black and Burt's Bees lip balms are my absolute favorites!

Favorite lip balm ever, and I've tried hundreds
This is a great lip balm and here's why --

good texture (smooth, not sticky, not waxy, not goopy, not hard)

good ingredients (mostly organic)

good flavor (mild mint, not too sweet, not too pungent)

good packaging (nice matte texture on the tube makes it easy to hold and open, easy to spot in a bag)

good shape (sphere shape makes it very fast to put on either a little or a lot)

good price ($4 at most drugstores, etc. -- compares very well with an Aveda one I had that was over $10)

Sensual, addictive lip balm
I never even liked lipbalm much. To be honest, I only needed it a very few days out of the year - if I had a cold and it was windy. A friend gave me some of the EOS Round lip balm in mint. I stuck it in my purse and forgot about it for a month without ever opening it. Then one day, after it had made it to the top of my desk, I opened it up and thought the round dome shape was really rather...neat. I used it. I liked it. It doesn't taste to me. It does have a cooling effect on my lips that I really like. I can barely smell it. It slides on easily, and to me is more like the feel of some top layer lipglosses than say, Chapstick. It's slightly shiny, and moist.
Well anyway, I kept using it. It's strangely addictive. I have to remind myself that I don't even LIKE lip balm. I guess that is why I'm back looking to buy some more...maybe an 8 pack...
I wouldn't want it in any shape but the round. It's just cool, handy, kinda cute, and a bit sensual to put on. I'm glad it is made of good stuff - I'm hooked.

Very soothing!
We have tried just about every type of commercial lip balm ou there. I was nervous to buy an entire box of these when I had never tried them but I took a chance based on some others' comments. I'm happy I did because these are DA BALM!

Seriously though, this is probably my favorite lip balm of all time now. It goes on very smooth and, unlike others I've tried, this balm actually helps my lips. I find with brands like Burts Bees and Blistex that my lips actually feel drier the more I use those. This balm seems to keep my lips hydrated and I find I need it less. And when you do use it, it has a nice refreshing peppermit feel (the Sweet Mint flavor - I haven't tried the other flavors). So now I'm extremely glad I ordered the pack of 8 because I don't want to run out of this stuff!

Wow I love this lip balm!
Not only is it in a totally hip, cute, cool container it makes my lips so smooth and smells/tastes so good. I have only tried the mint but for the price Amazon offers for eight I will be fine in lip balm for a while! When I go to bed, I put this on and when I wake my lips are still smooth.. I am a total promoter of this product, Five Stars!

Most favorite lipbalm ever!
I purchased this lip balm a couple of months ago, just to try something. My lips get so horribly chapped they start flaking and I'm constantly trying to bite the extra skin off. At the same time I purchased a couple other lip balms, and I haven't used them since trying this one.

The round shape makes it easy to apply at once, you just glide the ball over your lips. I go back and forth a couple of times, and it goes on super smooth. I don't get that nasty slimy feeling that some lip balms can give, and you don't feel sticky. It gives me a bit of a cool feeling after it's applied, and my lips feel moist and smooth.

The packaging is definitely unique, with the round shape a plus. It's easy to open, you twist and it clicks into place. It seems like after use it would lose the integrity, but mine hasn't and I continue to click it open and closed all the time when I need to fiddle with something. It seems like there's more lip balm in this then a stick (I haven't compared qty to tell for sure).

The only bad thing I could possibly say about this, is the egg shape makes my dog think it's his toy, and if I set it down within range he steals it and I have to chase after him. So my soft coated egg covering has a few doggy teeth marks in it :)

I've only tried the sweet mint, but it's a cooling flavor with just a hint of mint, not overpowering like some balms. I have completely ditched all the other lip balms and I'm only using this one now :) I'm very excited to see amazon carrying an 8 pack, because I want one with me wherever I go!
