You can do much better
The spray nozzle on this product seems to be its main problem. So much comes out at such high pressure that it splatters and doesn't apply evenly. If this weren't the case, perhaps it could be a good product. But I have purchased several spray tans over the past five years and this is one of the worst I've tried.

"Tan in a Can"
Body Drench is an excellent product and very similar to the spray tan that we spend the same amount on for just one application. It even smells the same.
The product needs to be applied where there is sufficient space for spray, such as the shower. Otherwise it will get all over the bathroom.
Also, the product will temporarily stain clothing.
Therefore, I think I'll wait until winter or spring when I will need it for bare legs in warm climates.

Instantly dark, not orange.
I really love this product. I've been a lover of the tanning bed since I was in my teens and made it my new years resolution to give it up this year. I've used many products with an orangish look afterwards. I like this the best because it's a chocolate color instantly on the skin just like when you get airbrushed at the salon. This is how I use it: I shower, exfoliate, and put lotion on my feet, toes, knees, elbows, and hands. I then spray the product all over about 12 inches away from my body. After I spray it on I rub it in and I find that this gives me great results. One reviewer said to wear gloves and then rub it in, I have not tried that yet but plan to. I just wash my hands afterwards. I then go out or go to bed with it on and it when I shower the next day the product is all in the bathtub just like when you get airbrushed. I find that the tan lasts 4-5 days. It's a deep tan, which I love. Never orange. I will warn you - it is messy. I do it in the shower and try and keep the shower curtain closed while doing it. Also, have a towel ready for the floor so that when you step down you don't get tan color on your floor.

Good, ok product only for one night
This is a good product and leaves a nice tan, however it will wash off the next morning when you shower. If you want a nice tan for the night then use this because you will get a good glow. Do not wear white and get in the sun where you may start sweating, it will come off a weird pink color (washes off completely). You will use 75% of the can in one use if you are tanning your entire body. I only use it when I absolutely have had no time to go get a custom spray tan, or when I travel.

only self tanner ill use
so i'm addicted to tanning. i go to tanning beds all the time, if possible i'll tan and then immediately do mystic afterwards. ive tried a number of self tanners over the years and none of them really got the job done so i continued my guilty pleasure of tanning beds and paid the high prices. then i got pregnant and to my horror couldn't really tan anymore bc you're body can't get overheated when you're pregnant. so i was constantly mystic tanning, which got expensive. so i started researching self tanning spray that i could do at home. this had a lot of good reviews so i tried it. and i'm not going to lie, the first time i tried it i was a little splotchy and didn't get the technique down quite right. but it was such a beautiful natural color that i kept practicing til i got the hang of it. and now i use it almost everyday. i always get compliments on my tan from people who think its real and tell me how great my tan looks. the color is way more natural than the expensive mystic tan that can look orangey sometimes. so everyday when i get out of the shower i maintain it by spraying a little on my chest, neck, and face and sometimes arms. its great bc you can use it on top of itself and it wont look weird and blotchy. even my mom who's almost 60 liked it so much that she bought a can of her own. and this 3 pack is a GREAT deal, it goes for about $20 a can retail at Sally Beauty Supply. and one can lasts me about a month.

This is NOT a "self-tanner". it is a CHEAP ** TINTED ** MILD self-tanner
there is a MAJOR misrepresentation here: nowhere does the product say that this is a TINTED self-tanner. but that's exactly what it is! it is meant to give you an instant color that washes off after a few hours if you take a shower. like the Clarins tinted tanner for legs, for example.

soooo disappointed. i have tried a lot of self tanners, and this one is NOWHERE NEAR even the regular CVS ones like Neutrogena or L'oreal Sublime bronze. i didn't notice any mess as stated by other reviewers, but the worst part of it is that it is so dry that it simply does NOT spread easily over the skin. it was very annoying, i didn't like using it at all. you have to rub and rub and rub! the best way to spread a self tanner is to mix it with some lotion so it covers the skin evenly, especially on the critical areas like the ankles and the wrists. well it is really hard to make this happen with this product, as you always end up with darker spots here and there. and forget about covering your back yourself. i use a Home Depot painting brush with a long handle to cover my back with self tanner, but that one was a hopeless case to use with the brush.

On the other hand, the fact that it is very dry does NOT mean it is quickly absorbed by the skin. Not at all. you need to apply it and wear some old clothes otherwise you will get stains everywhere, even after 4 hours.

the only good thing about it is that it turns dark, not orangy. however the color does not last longer than other products. but hell, Lancome Flash Bronzer Airbrush (THE BEST!) does that and gives you a delicious golden color without all the rubbing, the staining, and the delayed drying. plus i found that one here at a great price. So i am back to it.

in all honesty, i feel ripped off because i think that most positive reviews have been written by people working at that company. i have a hard time believing that a real self tanning junkie can be sooo crazy about such a cheap product. total waste of $. but now you are warned.

Not Impressed
I thought this product was going to be great, but i wasnt impressed! It was very watery and I put a ton on at night the next day I was a different color at all. It didnt work and was messy.

Great color
Very happy with this self-tanner spray. A little goes a long way, the color is a perfect bronzed color, and the smell is very mild unlike most self-tanners. You do have to use your hands to rub it in because it's not a "mist" style spray, but if you wash your hands after using, that shouldn't be a problem. It's easy to get an even application because you can actually SEE the self-tanner on your skin to make sure all areas are rubbed in. Overall, it's a great product and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

an oily mess
I expected an easy to apply product. It didn't spray on evenly, it had to be spread with my hand, it made a mess of the shower where i sprayed it on, it made a mess of my hands and towels, and it was an awful color.

Great Sunless Product
If you need something for the tan look this is the one. I have been using this spray for two years and it is the best. No smell, no streaking, no standing naked until your hair turns gray. Dries instandly and leaves you with a very nice color. Not Orange!!

You get what you pay for
I purchased this item as a tester before I spent $350 on a professional spray gun from a larger retailer. I was expecting to at least get a month or two of use out of it (considering it comes with a year warranty). I was pleased the first use when I tested only on one foot, then 2 hours later I came back to do the other...no can do. The unit hasn't worked since and the support desk isn't much support at all. All they tell you to do is clean it - why should I have to keep cleaning a product that hasn't sprayed more than a tablespoon of solution??? So if your looking to tan more than a few inches of your skin, you should opt for another product.

Do your research and spend the extra money to get a better product - this thing is useless!!! All I want is my money back but Viateck keeps telling me that they want to make it right and send another. I should have done more research before purchasing because it turns out that only 1 out of every 5 or 6 reviews is favorable - even then they say that it's not meant for tanning your whole body as the battery won't last. Buyer Beware! I wound up just putting the solution is a spray bottle to get by until I get a better product.

Horrible product
This is my first Amazon review because this is the first disappointing item I have ever bought on Amazon. I got my first IBOD Tanning System and tried to use it. The gun clogged immediately and the battery wouldn't hold a charge, so I returned it (paying alot for shipping to return it). The second gun arrived and when I used it, the same thing happened. Since I couldn't justify another expensive shipping charge, I am now stuck with this horrible piece of junk. Oh, by the way, they only give you 30 days to ship it back. It took 2 weeks to get my return spray gun, thus my time ran out. I will never order another Viatek product again. My Aztek gun was 1/2 the price of this one and worked much better.

A waste of money
First, the tanning solution bottle appeared to have been previously opened, or at least the foil inside the cap that seals the bottle wasn't sealed.

I carefully read and followed the instructions to the letter. The tanning solution is not a bronzer, which makes it difficult to tell if you have applied it evenly. It took overnight for the tan to develop - and what a disappointment! I ended up with a very streaky tan as well as drip marks in a couple places. Determined to try to it again, I had my husband carefully apply the solution again. The results ended up being not much better than the first application. I gave it a final try a few days later, but again, it seems impossible to get any even tan - now I've been waiting/exfoliating for a week trying to get rid of what's left of this bad fake tan.

The solution does give a decent color tan, but I'll stick with other products or the salon before I ever try using this device again.

Nice hardware, "OK" tanning solution
I go 3-4 times a month for a machine mist or airbrush tan at my local salon. I didn't buy this as a replacement for that. I bought it for traveling when I am away from home for more than a couple of days or for when I'm busy and don't have time to visit the salon. This product will be a perfect compliment for that.

I first used this product a few days after I got a spray tan at my local salon. I noticed absolutely NO change in my skin tone whatsoever, so I thought the tanning solution was a total rip. I decided to give it another try, so I waited for another 4 days, until the day before I was to go and get another tan, as my current skin tone was almost back to my norm (light complected).

I then sprayed the solution again only onto 1 side of my chest, upper thigh, and left buttocks. After spraying, I noticed very little if any change. Again, I thought the solution was useless. However, the next morning, I got up and looked in the mirror, and I was tan in the areas that I had sprayed, and still light everywhere else.

I was expecting an "instant" tan color, like at my salon, but what I found out, is that this solution takes time to work. It does NOT contain any instant bronzer, like the solutions do at my regular salon, so the color change is not instant. With only DHA as the colorant, it has to absorb into your skin over the next 4 hours to see any really visible changes.

I've decided to buy some other tanning solutions from the web and use with my iBod airbrush gun.

After doing some research online, I found a nice selection of product, with varying sizes, and some of the cheapest prices at www.tanforless.com.

I think I should have even better results with some of these other products. If the included tanning solution had been better, I would've definitely given this product 5 stars.

A little confused
I recieved this item right on time. The gun works wonderfully, spraying a very fine mist. That would be fine except that the tanning soulution i revieved was not of the same brand depicted. Also the tan extender that came was not the same as the one depicted, infact its not even an extender, its a sunburn releif. Why would i need this after a spray tan? Im looking into getting a better liquid tan for the gun, and once i find one im sure ill be much happier with the product. Overall not bad, but a little missrepresentd.

Nice tan, just didn't last long enough
This product gave me a nice color but a color that faded quickly after about three days. It took about five hours to show color but when the color did develop it was a pretty honey brown (not orange in anyway). I think the answer is to reapply every three days to keep the color.

No mess, dark color, no streaking
I've tried everything from high end creams and sprays and this is by far the best. It's worth the money and lasts a long time. One application takes about 3 minutes to apply and you can get your entire body. Stand in the tub and spray and that's it. Your hands don't get messy and there is no need to worry that you've applied too much in one area and not enough in the other. You can get dressed immediately after you spray and only need to let it absorb for about 5 minutes. I'm even in the habit of spraying my arms before work in the morning and watching as the tan develops in the next 3 hours. This product has the ability to layer your tan to achieve the exact color you want. You can even start with a level two. I have fair skin. I apply once every 3 days and gradually get darker. It's so easy. Definitely worth the money.

This is the BEST sunless tanner product on the market!
I used to Mystic Tan at my local spa and one day bought the home kit to use as a touch up in between my weekly sessions. This product works so well that I now go every two weeks and get in the spray booth. I now only purchase a Mystic Tan session package at the spa at the beginning of the summer and that's only so I can build a good base. The product is easy to apply with flawless results. Because it is a fine spray that dries quickly I tan in the morning before I go to work. I recommend exfoliating with a good scrub and moisturizing as recommended as it really does extend and enhance your tan. It has minimal transfer to clothing the day you apply it but washes out completely. My friends think I spend my weekends laying out working on my tan...they have no idea that my gorgeous tan takes 5 minutes to maintain!!!

Great Product
Body Drench Tan Spray is a very good product. I have been using self-tanners for years. I keep coming back to Body Drench. I don't do the whole apply-after-shower-at-night routine. I apply after my morning shower. So anything I use can't have much of a smell, be greasy, or leave any kind of feeling of residue.

I used Fake Bake for the last year and got tired of feeling like there was a layer of something on my skin, which there was. Fake Bake is fine if you use at night, but I did find much of the color came off in the shower. And there was a definite smell.

Body Drench smells good out of the can, but then disappears so it does not compete with perfume. My favorite thing about this product is how it goes on, non-greasy and dries immediately. There is no residue whatsoever. The color is great and wears off evenly.

Yeah, Body Drench!

Great Color
This gives you a nice warm color. Like a new tan. not orange at all. You can spray it on right before you go out as it dries quickly, has a very subtle smell (the best of any tanner I've ever used by far) and a powdery feel that includes a bronze finish. I have melasma on my face and use this with a small makeup brush on the light skin around the melasma spots and they almost vanish. And I only have to do that once a week. If you have melasma you know how hard it is to cover it with makeup. Try this melasma sufferers!-don't forget your neck

thought i was getting something else
Drench used to sell a different product that came in a yellow can and I really liked it, it was called instant tanner. I thought they had just changed the packaging, wrong. The old stuff was a more yellow or ash tone. This new product is very orange or even redish. I used the old product to spray my feet when I wore sandles as funny as that sounds. My feet just don't tan as quickly as the rest of me. This new product stained any calloused areas orange that lingered way after the other areas had wore off after showering.( both knees and feet) My boy friend pointed at my feet and said what's that orange stuff. Ha! I guess I need to keep looking.

The best fake tan yet!
I've read some great reviews about this product and decided to give it a try. I'm not a newbie when it comes to tanning. I've tried different products out there. Let me tell you, this is by far the best tanning spray ( or lotion) that I've ever tried. I'm not orange at all. I look like I just got back from a two week vacation:-) I'm giving it 4 stars, because it takes practice to spray yourself evenly. I would recommend you not to spray yourself before an important date. Practice at home first. You won't get it right the first time and it'll look like you'll have bruises:-) Oh yeah! Wear gloves, because your hands will turn orange. Or you can buy some stuff to take it off with. But after a couple of times, it goes on smooth and even.

Gradual Tanner
I tried several self gradual tanners and found this to be the best. I use this product to maintain an existing tan. I like that it has an even tan look (no streaks) and wasn't too orange.

Best Tanner!
This is a great product with such a light scent. I've tried other self tanners that made me look all orangey. This one does not and is easy to use. It's very moisturizing, too. I will continue to buy this product. It's cheaper than any others I have found as well. Worth a shot if you want to try it!

Smells strong!
When I first got this lotion, I was in love. It seemed to have little self-tanner smell; more of a fresh scent. But I quickly changed my mind. It turned into a sweaty-feet smelling lotion that felt really heavy on my skin. Not ONLY that, but it stained the sheets. I had been using Jergens Natural Glow Foaming Mousse before, and it did nothing of the sort. It felt so sticky on my skin. It was honestly disgusting. As for the actual tan, it was okay. It takes forever (3-4 days!) for anything to show up at all. But when it does, it's pretty natural. A bit yellow, actually. I have pink undertones and this just didn't work for me. I ended up giving it to my mother, who had the same problem. Do not buy.

This tanning lotion has little to no smell. I feel it is safer to use than others because it has fewer chemical ingredients. I mixed it with some regular lotion when applying to help it spread evenly. No complaints.

Love it!
A friend recommended this tanning product to me. My skin is white-I mean, WHITE. And this time of year, I really want to have some color. I don't have time to lay out, tanning beds scare me and the spray tan is expensive. So I tried Coppertone and I love it! Apply it just like a lotion and wash your hands real good when you're done. After two applications, I had a mild tan! The first day, I think because I wasn't used to it, I did feel a bit orange... but the next day it looked awesome. I felt confident enough to wear a skirt. If you want an easy, inexpensive tan, this is the way to go!

The Best Sunless Tanning Solution Thus Far!!!
I'll make this short & sweet. I've tried them all (home & salon) and this is the best by far. Light, easy, barely smells. Try it and you'll be thrilled! Two things I learned: 1) it can come off on your sheets if you apply it and don't shower before sleeping and 2) wear ankle socks when applying to your legs and then remove socks when applying lotion and just spread the lotion down to the feet to get tan feet. I've already ordered the 6-pack refill!

Finally, I Don't Have to Do Gymnastics To Apply Tanner!
I have only used this twice, but so far I really like it! I love the sprayer because it can get all those nooks and cranies really well that I sometimes miss (like the middle of my back). As a mother of a three year old and three month old, I like how fast it is to apply too. I don't have time to spend 10-15 minutes putting on self tanner, making sure that I applied it all over evenly while there is a three year old running around. I also like that it dries fairly quickly. No more walking around the house lke a sumo wrestler waiting for the tanner to dry evenly. The color is pretty good too. I will definately buy more of the tanner, and I have already told my mom and sister about this!

Fine mist, good smelling, but generally streaky!
I am a strawberry blonde with fair skin. I'm always looking for the latest and greatest self tanning product. The wand is interesting, but actually, I haven't used it yet. The spray itself smells better than any I've ever used before. It also emits a very fine mist, which I like a lot. The problem is that you can't see where it's being applied on your body, which causes me to have areas of darker orange where the product "pooled". In general, i think this product gives you a tan that is more orange than brown. I think the Body Drench's Quick Tan is a far superior product. It provides a much more natural looking tan.

Easy to work with and a great tan
I bought this item and it works like a charm! The tanning spray is wonderful. The light mist goes on easier than the grocery-store tanners and the wand, though it takes a little getting used to, gets those hard-to-reach places. The reviewer who said that all the reviews are fake is wrong. This isn't brain surgery! Just follow the directions and you'll have a fantastic tan in about 8 hours. What I like best is that you don't have to use the wand all over, just for those places that are difficult to get to. If you want just a touch-up on your legs, you can just use the sprayer. Also, the smell is fragrant and doesn't make you smell like you've just been out jogging, like some tanners do.

The BEST sunless tanning product on the market today!
Every summer since I can remember, I've been self-conscious about my white legs - there was even taunting when I was in grade school, so my quest for the perfect self-tanning product to cover my porcelain pins began young. Over the years, I've used every type of sunless tanning product starting with that orangy Avon lotion in the early 1980s; I've utilized tanning booths and gave up after thirteen sessions and only a burn to show for it; and I've booth spray tanned and airbrush spray tanned with "professionals", but how often do you want to shell out $50-$80 for four days of being tan? I'm a fan of Bath & BodyWorks' Coconut Lime Verbena Body Lotion (not Body Cream)- it smells like a Hawaiian vacation. Yummo!
