Wow! This is a pleasant surprise!
I recently purchased this item for my daughter's birthday. This is probably the sixth different brand of media player we have purchased. We love it! It's about the size of my blackberry and it has a good feel to it. It doesn't feel or look cheap. The screen is sensitive so you don't have to tap over and over for it to work and it changes quickly. It also has a stylus. There are lots of surprises like the qwerty touchscreen keyboard, calculator, and the picture quality is really good. I don't kow yet how durable it will turn out to be, but for the money I spent I am very happy with the quality. The only negative about this would be that the software they sent with it doesn't allow you to load youtube videos directly onto it. I was able to get around it, though. I just went online and downloaded a free program called winfx free video converter and converted the youtube videos to a format that the software they sent could convert and load onto the device. It was actually pretty simple once I got it all figured out. So overall I would give this media player an A+!

love it!
I am very happy with this player. I wish I could get more apps for it like you can for the ipods but It does what I need it to do, play music and take pictures.

My only issues are that it will only take TXT formatted e-books and there is no place to store the stylis. If you like to read on a data pad I would suggest an ipod touch, kindle, or nook as they have more book selections. There is a TXT converter out there that is free but too much of a hassel right now for me. Since I like to feel the book in my hand and turn paper pages it doesn't bother me too much.

It's a good little player. I like how you can organize your music and just play one folder and repeat songs.

RIPOFF! Buy something else!
I bought this MP3 player for my husband for Father's Day. The battery sucks so bad that you can only listen to it for 30 minutes at a time no matter how long you charge it. We charged it for 8 hours and it still would only play for 30 minutes and then it would die!

I am very upset because I no longer have the proof of purchase to get my money back. That's $70 down the drain.

Maybe we got a lemon but beware if you do buy it and make sure you keep all packaging and your receipt.

software was very easy to intall, and laoding music on the player as well, there are so many features to it that i like too.

Notes for potential buyers
This review is meant to be helpful for potential buyers. I aimed to get an MP3 player that would play mp3s and audio books, while I was traveling; I was not making an investment in buying a showy new mobile device. The product first arrived on time. The packaging was great. Tightly sealed and protected. Most importantly the product did what I wanted it to do. The sound quality was decent. I didn't have much of a problem uploading audio tracks onto the device, but then again that might vary depending on one's familiarity with technology. It's fairly easy, taking about 4 steps. Any concerns about not getting what one pays for: this would have to include the radio function. It didn't work very well in doors for me. It's antenna must not be that big. For me that's fine since I don't plan on using it much. I think that the functionality and price match the product. I do not feel as though I was gipped in any way when making this purchase.

Nothing spectacular
Though the style is sleek, its nice and compact and the sound quality is good, you cannot make lists to categorize music. I even emailed their customer service @ CobyUSA, in case it was possible and I just couldn't figure it out and CobyUSA's customer service said that this unit does not support play list. I also don't know how one can appreciate pictures in a screen so small--the pictures are like thumbnails. At best, its a place to store pictures, not view them. I guess I got spoiled with the Creative Zen Vision W 30 GB Widescreen Multimedia Player (Black), nothing else I've had has compared.

Great MP3 Player!!!
I was definitely not up with the times. I finally decided to get an MP3 player. I honestly knew nothing about them. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and make a mistake so I chose this one. For $30, if it didn't work well, it wouldn't be too much of a big deal. To tell you the truth I didn't really have much faith in this player's quality, because it wasn't an expensive brand or an Apple Ipod. I really wasn't expecting much.

When it arrived I have to admit I was excited to get started. I had loads of songs I wanted to hear that I didn't have on cd. I felt like a kid in a candy store. At first, I found a site I could buy MP3's from and tried to get my songs on the device. Since this was my first time uploading songs on an MP3 player I didn't know what I was doing and had lots of trouble. The directions it came with were not very helpful to me because of my ignorance with technological things. Finally after fiddling around for over an hour I finally figured it out. I bet a lot of you are thinking I am a real dummy, lol!

All I can say is I am thrilled!! This little piece of machinery is amazing to say the least. Once you get the knack, it is so easy to download your songs and add them to the playlist. When I saw how easy it was to upload songs from my computer to the device, I felt stupid for not figuring out how to do it sooner.

I bought a mini stereo cable and connected it to the headphone jack and the other end to my stereo's audio jack and I was pleasantly surprised at how loud and clear it sounds with my stereo system. The earbuds it comes with are a little uncomfortable and hurt my ears, so I am using my Sony Walkman's head phones and it is much more comfortable. My husband and 9 year old daughter liked this device so much, they want their own too. I will buy two more and highly recommend this item. It is well made and looks expensive too.

Not bad..could be better
For the price it works and sounds fine. My only objection is the way it adds and deletes mp3s.

Great MP3 when you don't want to spend a fortune.
My daughter loves music so I decided an MP3 would be a great gift for vacation trip, but she's only 8 so I didn't want to spend a fortune. You can certainly tell the difference between this and the IPOD. The software was a little annoying to figure out at first, but I figured it out pretty quickly. She's only been using the music feature so I'm not sure how the others work yet. I think though that it is an excellent MP3 especially for the money.

Great little multimedia player for the price
This is a really nice little touch player with only a couple of issues. I like it because it does practically everything I need it to do. It has a camera and video camera (granted these are low quality, but still nice if you want to take a picture of something and don't have a good camera on you). It also includes a webcam (haven't figured this out yet), and an FM radio and a couple of flash games (haven't tried these out yet). It also features a voice recorder. The battery lasts about 3 hours on a full charge when you play mainly music. I don't know how long the battery lasts if you play mainly videos because I haven't tried that out yet either. When you get the player, it seems really cheap and light, and is pretty much made of plastic, so I'd recommend taking good care of it. It includes headphones, which have worked great for me, and the external speaker when you don't have headphones plugged in is pretty decent. The player features a drag and drop system. The menu is nice, you can either have a menu you scroll through horizontally, or change it in the settings so that the entire menu comes up on the screen at the same time. There's a bit of a learning curve to using this, it took me quite some time to figure it out. I've never had an ipod, so playlists aren't really something I'm used to, but if those are important to you, you can kind of fake it by creating folders and call it whatever you want the playlist to be called, and dragging and dropping the music files you want into that list. Then, to access it, use the "dir list" under the music menu to find the playlist folders you've created. Also, if you want your music shuffled, when a song is playing, you tap an icon in the top left of the screen and a menu will come up that allows you to select sequence, random, intro, etc. If you click random, you can shuffle your music. You can also play music by artist, songs, genre, and album. Also, this player does not include a wall charger, I had to purchase one separately from the Walmart website. It does include the usb cable so that you can charge it on a computer. I figured out most of this stuff by playing around with the player as the little handbook that comes with it is not a lot of help. Also, no case is included, so if you want something to keep it safe in, you need to purchase that on your own.

Basic product works okay, however consistent problems with the unit freezing up and needed to be reset. Also poor covering material. Color comes off very easily. Headphone connection already broken with normal use. Will not allow headphone to plug in far enough to mute speaker without holding the headphone jack down. Unit is only a couple of weeks old.

Product is a nice idea, but poorly built.

Still No Music
I bought this product over a month ago and still can't download my music from windows media player. It doesn't even read on my computer. The radio is ok. The camera feature is horrible. Touchscreen ok. But the main reason for a mp3 player(to hear my own music) I have not enjoyed. I wish I could send it back.

Disagreement
I am in disagreement with the Ematyic E4 Series received , the Digital Video Recording and Digital 5MP Full-Sized they are out of service, he does not gain images, I only can see a green screen. I sent an email to Ematic and the answer that they gave me was not useful for me. I am very angry because I purchased a bad-quality product and I do not have suitable answer from Ematic. Can Amazon make anything to solve my problem?

creative vado hd matte finish
I am traveling right now and this camera has come in handy quite a bit. It's easy to carry around, simple to operate and plugs right into your computer for easy drop off. There is not an external memory option on this camera but it the amount of time you get with internal memory is plenty of room for short or long videos. It's a good camera.

Software
Nice little video camer, however to make large movies you have to purchase the software from VIDO for $19.95. Even then, software is
inadequate, hard to use and very slow when processin save movie to DVD.

Vado HD 720P pocket video
I like the protability, battery life could be a little better, and it's easy to use.

I love Vado!
I bring this for vacation and special occasions... I love it so much I sometimes leave it to my pocket book :)
It's very light, quality is good. I tried it charging using MAC and the vado start to act funny like it won't turn on, it only happened one time though.

Quit working after a year
We liked this product while it worked. We used it to record clips of our first child. However, after a year of light use it started freezing. It doesn't work at all any more and won't even turn on. We missed the warranty by one week. Obviously, this is not a quality product.

So so product, beyond horrible customer service!
I gave this player only 1 star because the unit itself, when it doesn't freeze, is okay. However, when reporting this problem and a missing accessory, I spent 2 months and countless hours trying to get the unit repaired & missing accessory (stylus) sent. No one in their customer service department has the authority or power to make a decision & they are not allowed to give you anyone's name in the company that can.

Needless to say, I still have not received the missing accessory and I refuse to pay another $15.00 to send the player back to them to have it repaired. By the way, you have to pay for the shipping to send it back to them and considering their incompetence, I was afraid I would be out the original price of the unit, plus the player itself and $15.00+ to have it repaired!

Oh, by the way, phone calls are never returned and most of the time when you call, all you get is a recording and a promise to call you back asap. Thumbs up product.
I had bought one and it fell two-three feet and the touch screen broke.
I had bought another one, and have taken much better care of it since.
The 8 gig hard drive right now is storing at least over 55 hours of video with still some room to spare. The video out jack is not all that great with larger tv's as it is with smaller ones. hrmmmm. I only had screen freezes with the first one i had bought but after a couple of resets the item seemed to work fine. As far as the second one I had purchased I've had no freezes. Albeit this product is a great product and I do recommend it especially with great format support and its multi utilities(That is as far as a 5 mega-pixel camera can go, which is fair.)I can not say it would be my first choice, but would say I would buy this product/again.

Forgot to mention, Screen outside in sunlight is kind of hard to see(may have to stand in the shade,) but indoors it's fine. The player saves the video file as a standard simple .avi movie but it does use a "xVid codec" to generate that format this may cause the video saved not to be capable of being played on your computer if you don't have that video codec installed this may or may not be the case for you depending on what codecs your standard or choice video player software uses(ie real player, media player, quicktime, winamp, etc.) still their website does say the video format is allready youtube compliant im sure this should be the same for all video upload sites. further still the microphone for audio recording and video recording is very poor (a 2 out of 5), it's quite similar to a phone's microphone (better for catching noises closer rather than farther.) other than that I did say the screen was a 5 but to be more specific The picture qaulity is great there is minor dissipation of deatails due to the small screen size but the quality and clarity of the screen still allows you to read fairly small print. And it does come with a cd with software. this software afformetioned is seemingly second market cheap and not very great (1 out of 5) and has no real use.

But sometimes the screen freezes up. I have no other troubles with it!

Better than I expected
This MP3 player is cheap for a touch screen so I didn't expect it to work so good!!! It did freeze on me once I just push the reset button down and haven't had problems since. It is a lot darker in color than shown on this page. It plays really good and the touch screen is really responsive.

worked good for 8-9 days..then froze..wouldnt work at all even after following reboot instructions many times.and after going thru a lot of back and forth emails with Amazon..i end up sending it back to the original seller.., and will be 2-3 weeks before i get a replacement.might as well bought an mp3 palyer at walmart..at least i could return it and get another one within a week.

Well...
First off, you can't get anything like this, with soooo many features and functions at such a low price. Video/Picture Camera, Mp3 player, radio, etc~ but... at such a price, you pay for the quality, that isn't so great.

Cons:
The touch screen is slow or sometimes unresponsive
Every time I would set the time/clock, it would reset everytime I turned the device on and off
The device seems very flimsy, lightweight. Like it would snap in your hands if you even used for your mind.

Pros:
Video and Picture Camera isn't that bad, along with all the different modes to it, but again, some what slow and unresponsive at times

I know alot of people reviewed about their headphones not working... mine were perfectly fine, I never had their problem.
Oh, I know the title of this product says 1.8 in screen, its bigger, its whatever the others ones say~ 3.2 or whatever it is, just fyi

Overall?
Get it if:
Its for you 7 year old kid
Or you just wanna try it out and don't mind putting $70 down.

Don't get it if:
This is your second mp3 player and you want something better.

Re: EMATIC 1.8" touch screen/player received on June 21, 2010; When I tried to convert my AVI video clips, the conversion software was unable to correctly decode the audio.I called the support line and on June 28th, the representative (David) gave me an RMA number and said it was a hardware problem and for me to send it back for repair. I mailed it on July 5th and inspite of my repeated requests, I have not received an update on the status or an expected shipping date. This is without a doubt the worst service I have ever encountered. My advice, don't choose EMATIC products.

Really looked nice with great features. But the USB connection was faulty and I didn't know from one moment to the next if it was really connected. In the FM mode, although I could hear music, it indicated that I was to plug in the earphone. That connection was also faulty. It simply didn't work. I sent it back for a refund.

I honestly can't believe how awesome this mp3 player is...........it's got a large viewing screen, great camera/video cam/webcam, you can even plug it driectly into tv (cable provided) to view your video or pics. The FM radio doesn't pick up well but I didn't buy it for the radio. It holds huge amounts of pics/video and music. I love how easy it is to transfer the downloaded music to the player (for window users). I have showed this player to friends and coworkers and they are just as amazed and even looked into buying it. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an mp3player. The price is amazing........it's well made and I intend to use it alot. Look into similar products and you'll see how good a value this is
