There is no question that when it has came down to MP3 Players, many people have definitely came over to Apple's Ipod over time, as the most popular player on the market. Nearly a decade since the original Ipod made its debut, many music lovers have looked to it into their hearts , and made it the template of the way we now enjoy our music on the go. But with the Ipod Touch debuting a few years ago, it really has added the touch of your fingers as the controls. While it has been a few years since the Ipod debuted, it has delivered not just to music lovers, but gamers and the way we surf the internet wherever we roam. Now, how it can it be topped, it can't. But there can be a few adjustments though.

The Apple Ipod Touch 3rd Generation is simple, convient and easy to use, as you can not just store all your favorite music and videos, but download any game to your delight from Apple's Itunes store. There are many games you can download from pinball to racing games like Need For Speed: Undercover to puzzle games like Bejeweled 2. There is more here that you can definitely do with the Ipod Touch in 8 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB. But, this review is for the 32 GB. It can definitely hold a whole lot in the simple Ipod. While there is so much you can do from surf the internet through your favorite Wi-Fi spot and play songs you've downloaded from your favorite music service, there are a few faults. The first disadvantage is that the battery life can easily lose its steam after only a few hours, especially when you've downloaded so many games to play. It isn't just that alone, but it also takes awhile to re-charge itself up unlike other MP3 Players on the market. It can be very discouraging, especially when you just want to take it out, after you've filled it with your favorite media. Not only that, but it is very sensative to control, and takes a little bit to get used to when you've first bought it. Nevertheless, after a couple of days, you'll be in the best of control.

All in all, despite a few things that could've been improved, the Apple Ipod Touch is still a great MP3 Player, and media device to take with you anywhere. It is the closest to bringing your computer with you anywhere your heart desires. I really like it a lot, and it definitely is a great buy for anyone whom wants the best idea Apple has came up with since the original Mac.

Well worth the money, despite it's very few flaws
First off I'll say that I have the 8GB version of this, so this review is entirely in regards to that fact.
The fit and function of the iPod is fantastic. It's sleek, good looking, very easy to use and even though it weighs next to nothing it is very tough and feels like it was built like a tank.
The web browser (Safari) is very reliable and fast, and the wireless works great. The range is a bit shorter than say my laptop, but it works far enough away. The apps you can download are plentiful and very easy to manage. The only bad thing about them is I wish a lot more of them were free. Once you download a half dozen .99 cent apps or so, the charges can start to pile up a lot.
My only problems with it are as follows:

The low-end model should've been 10GB, rather than only 8... which in reality translates to between 6 and 7 after the iPhone OS is installed (by default, of course).

Some extra customization features would've been good. Such as being able to put separate passlock codes for music, pictures, videos, etc. But that's neither here nor there - to each his own.

Lastly, the internal speaker isn't anything to get excited about. It's very quiet and sounds somewhat muffled. The EQ is the standard, plain-jane "Rock", "R&B", etc. job. There is no definitive frequency range adjustment to speak of. However, I suppose you can't expect that sort of feature on a mp3 player. I'm an audiophile though, so I'm picky in that respect.

Other than those minor issues, I really enjoy the iPod. The performance and reliability is top-notch and there are seemingly endless options and unique "tweeks" to tinker around with on it. It's basically a handheld computer and I've hardly used my home PC to browse the web at all since I got my iPod. You can even get apps to text message for free! Also, if you get the microphone for it you could use it as a phone as well. Bought one each for my 8 yr old and 10 yr olds this summer. Good to fill up some times of boredom. Now that school is in, they still play on it, but not to the exclusion of school work.

Love my iPod Touch!
Love it! Definitely took me a while to learn how to load songs, photos, etc. I love that I can check my email with it (where there is an internet connection). I can use it (with external speakers: I have Ladybug) to listen to tunes I have loaded or to music from various internet sites. I have plenty of space for tons of songs and photos. Have never regretted that I did not get more storage. I'm a past-middle aged female and I love my iPod Touch. It's fun finding different apps on iTunes for it. So glad I have it!

My ipod touch is a life saver! It organizes my life and makes life so easy. with calendars and reminders, cookbooks, fictional books and best of all TEXT BOOKs for school!!! It runs perfectly and came in fast, it matched its discrimination to a tea.

The product listed was listed as very good condition. In receiving the ITouch from the seller, the screen was badly scratched and the jack for the earphones felt like it had been abused before so you had to twist and jiggle the earphone plug to get it to work on both sides of the earphones. If the seller was more honest about the condition of the product, I would have bought a different one but as it is, I don't want to spend any more money to ship the stupid thing out and go through the hassle again.

My Ipod
I loved my Ipod. Even though it was used, it worked wonderful. Unfortunately, about a week ago someone stole my Ipod, and the police are still investigating. I will eventually get another one, but still in shock right now.

Square Trade Warranty
A couple of years ago I bought a Square Trade warranty for my son's IPOD touch. I also added the accidental damage coverage for a little bit more. In the meantime, because I changed my e-mail address, and could no longer find the warranty information to see if it had expired, because it stopped working. I contacted Square Trade about the warranty and they found it, verified it was mine, asked what was wrong with the Ipod, and sent me the mailing label, so all I had to do was pack it up. Then...about a week later, I received a check for the purchase price of the item, which had reduced in price. Customer service is incredibly competent, kind, knowledgeable and communicative. I don't use any other warranty...it's just too good! Thanks Square Trade!

i was sold a broken iPod touch. the "off" button didn't work. i was also given a manual for a different model. however i was refunded for all expenses eventually.

I-Touch 16GB
Apple products suck I own a 16GB I touch that I purchased a little over a year ago and now the jack for head phones only play out of the right side (known problem). My wife took it to the apple store and they said $150 plus tax will fix it. I suggest buying a Sandisk if you what a good player that will last at a fraction of the price. I will never own another apple product because they do not last.

The best iPod Ever!
I had this iPod for almost two years (until it got stolen). I always have wanted an iPhone, and this came very close. I love its style and how it combines music, internet, and fun apps. This is a huge recomendation to anyone who wants an iPhone but can't get one due to stupid AT&T. I miss it a lot.

OmG!!! I simply cannot get i Touch To work
Having bought the Nano...and 4th Generation Nano... they work great but now...with the i Touch It has been a night mare for I Tunes to pick up the I Touch.

I uninstalled....reinstalled....uninstalled...reinstalled and have spent 8 hours so far to get this thing to work on I tunes.

Checked updates,,,checked security software and still not working...yet the Nano works as well as the 4th Generation.

Poor service and feedback so far....So if you are willing to spend forever getting this thing to work.....good luck...

Anybody else that has figured it out.. please call....I did the 5 R's 3 times and it still will not work.

Much Improved, Cameras a Small Disappointment
iPod Touch had never included a camera prior to this September 1, 2010 update.
The lack of a camera was one of the significant aspects that kept the iPod Touch from feeling more like an iPhone.

Now, this iPod Touch has two cameras, reason for celebration? Not exactly. The usability of the cameras included is minimal.

The iPod Touch does have significant upgrades. It now features a similar display to iPhone 4, which Apple dubs Retina Display. It is twice the resolution, and looks oh so gorgeous. Honestly, I have never used a display that looks as crisp as Apple's Retina Display. Steve Jobs had described it as looking similar to the text in a high quality book, and I would have to agree. You must see it, to see the difference. Therefore, the display in the updated iPod Touch is a significant upgrade.

Secondly, the iPod Touch will feel much snappier to you than the previous generation. The reason? It now includes the same Apple A4 processor that is found in iPhone 4 and iPad. It's snappy. Applications launch with much improved speed, multitasking works easier and so forth. The processor may not make the device look different, but it's a significant feature update.

Next, to the cameras. Both the front and rear camera can be used. The front camera is similar to the iPhone's front camera, VGA only, which is rather low resolution. However, Apple knows the front camera would primarily be used for Face Time. Face Time allows you to make video chats with other iPod Touch (the new ones) and iPhone 4 users. You must be connected to WiFi to make these video chats. The Face Time icon is presented prominently on the home screen of the iPod Touch. I have had access to Face Time for several months, with my iPhone 4. It is very cool and works surprisingly well. The problem is finding other users on the compatible device (right now only iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th generation) plus them being on WiFi at the same time. Over time, the feature will be more useful as more members of your family and friends have a compatible device. However, you simply don't always want to have a video chat with people either. Sometimes voice or even text is enough. Therefore, the front camera is not a total bust. It can be used to try out Face Time, which some users will probably find useful as least on occasion.

The rear camera on the iPod Touch is the disappointment. The rear camera is not even 1 megapixel. The camera is 960x720 resolution. Therefore, for still images the quality is quite low. After all, it's not even 1 megapixel. The iPhone 4 camera is 5 megapixel. Is the camera a total bust? Well, it can take HD video, because HD video is actually lower resolution than still digital cameras. The quality of the HD video it takes will need to be judged by the user. The camera's optics are simply not the same as used in the iPhone 4 due to the thinness of the iPod Touch. Therefore, camera quality is significantly lower compared to iPhone 4. However, you can take a video and edit it on your iPod Touch. It probably won't look as good as someone who takes a video on an iPhone 4 though.

Overall, I think highly of the new iPod Touch. The iPod Touch most attractive features are still there, indeed it will do many of its best features, better than ever thanks to the fast A4 processor now included. Gaming will be quicker and web browsing will be snappier all thanks to its faster processor. For me, these are uses most buy the Touch to do. Play games and use it as an internet device for browsing the web or reading email. The touch is still a winner in these categories. Highly recommended. In terms of being a music player, iPod Touch is as great as ever too. You can continue to touch the screen to select your music and view cover art. No change there. 40 Hours of Audio Playback. Video Playback is somewhat improved! The faster A4 processor allows iTunes HD videos that you purchase to be played, and the retina display makes them look oh so gorgeous. The cameras are the only small disappointment. The front camera is ok, but how often will you Face Time? The back camera's quality and specs are simply not up to the level many have come to expect due to mobile phones' cameras getting better over the years. However, Apple chose to make the iPod Touch thinner than ever! That thinness limits the cameras that will fit into the device.

The iPod Touch is still a solid value. Cheaper than an iPhone and with no service contract. A big plus for many especially teens and kids. iPod Touch is now as fast as the iPhone and has the gorgeous Retina display that the iPhone features. It's a winner. Some may only be disappointed by its cameras. Still, very much recommended.

iPOD Touch 4G Review, WARNNING the camera is horrible !
Before i start reviewing the ipod touch 4G you need to know that the camera is absolutely horrible for still shots, it can only take 0.7MP Pictures (YES less than 1MP!), you can check this fact yourself by going to apple official website, you will find this info under official Specs, the ipod touch camera is meant for video not still shots, for video it's as good as flip cameras.

I got the top rated ipod touch 3G review in amazon so i suggest that you read it if you want to learn more about the ipod touch in general (You can check it by clicking on my profile) So knowing all that many people are wondering is it worth it to upgrade from 3G to 4G? new users are wondering if they should get the 3G now since it's cheaper after the 4G introduction?

So the question is what is new with the ipod touch 4G? only you can decide if it's worth it for you or not.

1- The ipod touch 4g got a faster processor (Only noticed if you multitask a lot really)
2- Double the ram 512MB which is great for multitasking and the new OS 4.0 (3G got 256MB ram only)
3- 2 Cameras for video/stills and FaceTime video chat (cameras are horrible for still shots, decent for video)
4- HD video recording and playback
5- Higher resolution screen (Awesome for browsing, you will never go back to 3G screen after trying it!)
6- Improved Battery life 40Hours for audio playback with the 4G (3G got only 30Hours audio playback)
7- It's lighter, thinner and narrower (better to hold in your hands, specially if you got a small hands like me)
8- Built in Microphone ! (Ipod touch 3g microphone is combined with the headphones and NOT built into the ipod)
9- Three-axis gyro (Some apps and games use it)

Pros:
-Slick,small and light device
-Great high resolution touch screen
-The BEST web browser on a portable device
-Amazing video/music playback
-App Store (Too many cool applications for Free)
-Display screen is clear and bright
-No bugs and annoying stuff a very reliable hardware
-64GB Flash based mp3 player

Cons:
1-The camera is horrible for still images
2-There is still no real FM radio built in (Internet radio is available though)
3-Bluetooth is still locked for sharing

My top 3 music Apps:
1-TuneWiki (Play lyrics for every song you play)
2-Pandora Radio (Play music by almost any artist free!)
3-Shazam (record Any song via your microphone then play it and Shazam will tell you the name of the song !)

Would have gotten 5 Stars from me if it were not for the horrible Camera, many people will be disappointed with it, i hope you guys liked my review, it will be updated soon !

One year from now, I am sure to sell it to buy a fifth generation, but in the meantime, I am looking forward to using this awesome device.

Great Ipod Plus Service, Very Happy
This Product is really great, considering its my first ipod touch. Theres a little scratch on the back, but no big whoop. Love it, nothing is wrong with it at all, except im trying to figure out how to get wifi(very Frustrating).

Get what you paid for
Everything that the seller says is on the mp3 player, is on the mp3 player. If you were hoping for a little extra, your not going to get it. I wish I waited to buy an mp3 player but this one has no problems. Its a bit small and if you like that then this is definitely something you should choose over bigger mp3 players like the itouch.

I got this product in the mail yesterday afternoon and i already love it. its amazingly easy to use and functional! I recommend it to anyone wanting a "hip" but easily usable. :)

Title screen is quite comical
"Payus" ("Pay Us") appears on the player's screen when booting up.

Overall it seems like a decent, albeit slightly confusing, device. I wouldn't give it to an older person who can't reliably program a DVR.

I'm pleased that it offers an ebook reader in addition to the music and video players. I'll try to post more after I've tinkered with it a bit.

As a Video Player...
I bought this media player to watch videos while traveling.

Video Tutorial:
I used a third party program called handbrake, cut the width to 320 and the bitrate to 300, which is the setting I've been using for a sony walkman I have. Use the mpeg-4 video codec, rename the file with a .mp4 extension and you are ready to roll.

The sound quality is great, but the Video just isn't cutting it. Bright colored shows are fine, but darker shows like trueblood - forget about it. You can kinda watch it if you are sitting in a dark room.

The price is great, but I'll probably give this player to someone else.

1 year later review
Bought this back in June of 2009 for my 12 year old. He enjoyed it at first, until it began to fail. First was the charger, it would not stay on the outlet and kept falling off. The metal contacts would not charge player properly (have to wiggle it or tape it down). Next to go was the touch screen, not entirely but it became less and less responsive over time and eventually lost some functionality in the forward/back buttons. He has since handed it down to his little sister to play with :) He's got an ipod touch now, which he loves. This player served it's purpose for a year, but has little to no resale value. It's a good start for basic touch features, but it does look a bit outdated now with the blueish screen and chrome accents :/
Maybe if they included a black skin for it, it would modernize it a bit!

The accessories it came with were all replaced soon after, as they were either very cheap or uncomfortable to use.
