Touch Of Entertainment
There is no question that when it has came down to MP3 Players, many people have definitely came over to Apple's Ipod over time, as the most popular player on the market. Nearly a decade since the original Ipod made its debut, many music lovers have looked to it into their hearts , and made it the template of the way we now enjoy our music on the go. But with the Ipod Touch debuting a few years ago, it really has added the touch of your fingers as the controls. While it has been a few years since the Ipod debuted, it has delivered not just to music lovers, but gamers and the way we surf the internet wherever we roam. Now, how it can it be topped, it can't. But there can be a few adjustments though.
The Apple Ipod Touch 3rd Generation is simple, convient and easy to use, as you can not just store all your favorite music and videos, but download any game to your delight from Apple's Itunes store. There are many games you can download from pinball to racing games like Need For Speed: Undercover to puzzle games like Bejeweled 2. There is more here that you can definitely do with the Ipod Touch in 8 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB. But, this review is for the 32 GB. It can definitely hold a whole lot in the simple Ipod. While there is so much you can do from surf the internet through your favorite Wi-Fi spot and play songs you've downloaded from your favorite music service, there are a few faults. The first disadvantage is that the battery life can easily lose its steam after only a few hours, especially when you've downloaded so many games to play. It isn't just that alone, but it also takes awhile to re-charge itself up unlike other MP3 Players on the market. It can be very discouraging, especially when you just want to take it out, after you've filled it with your favorite media. Not only that, but it is very sensative to control, and takes a little bit to get used to when you've first bought it. Nevertheless, after a couple of days, you'll be in the best of control.
All in all, despite a few things that could've been improved, the Apple Ipod Touch is still a great MP3 Player, and media device to take with you anywhere. It is the closest to bringing your computer with you anywhere your heart desires. I really like it a lot, and it definitely is a great buy for anyone whom wants the best idea Apple has came up with since the original Mac.

Well worth the money, despite it's very few flaws
First off I'll say that I have the 8GB version of this, so this review is entirely in regards to that fact.
The fit and function of the iPod is fantastic. It's sleek, good looking, very easy to use and even though it weighs next to nothing it is very tough and feels like it was built like a tank.
The web browser (Safari) is very reliable and fast, and the wireless works great. The range is a bit shorter than say my laptop, but it works far enough away. The apps you can download are plentiful and very easy to manage. The only bad thing about them is I wish a lot more of them were free. Once you download a half dozen .99 cent apps or so, the charges can start to pile up a lot.
My only problems with it are as follows:
The low-end model should've been 10GB, rather than only 8... which in reality translates to between 6 and 7 after the iPhone OS is installed (by default, of course).
Some extra customization features would've been good. Such as being able to put separate passlock codes for music, pictures, videos, etc. But that's neither here nor there - to each his own.
Lastly, the internal speaker isn't anything to get excited about. It's very quiet and sounds somewhat muffled. The EQ is the standard, plain-jane "Rock", "R&B", etc. job. There is no definitive frequency range adjustment to speak of. However, I suppose you can't expect that sort of feature on a mp3 player. I'm an audiophile though, so I'm picky in that respect.
Other than those minor issues, I really enjoy the iPod. The performance and reliability is top-notch and there are seemingly endless options and unique "tweeks" to tinker around with on it. It's basically a handheld computer and I've hardly used my home PC to browse the web at all since I got my iPod. You can even get apps to text message for free! Also, if you get the microphone for it you could use it as a phone as well. But with that said, the online features will obviously only work when you are connected to a WiFi network... unlike a mobile phone. But for a mp3 player to do all that this does, is simply awesome.
I'm very glad I bought it and would recommend it to anyone. As the title of my review states... it's well worth the money!
iPod touch 8 GB
Bought one each for my 8 yr old and 10 yr olds this summer. Good to fill up some times of boredom. Now that school is in, they still play on it, but not to the exclusion of school work.
It's a nice product.
great
My new Ipod is great. Shipping was fast and I got it on time. I just need more time to learn to use all the features.
I bought it for my daughter. I did not know it does not come with battery re-charger, which you have to buy separately.
The product is very good, just did not come with battery re-charger, which you have to buy separately. You would not know it until you opened box.

Shake to Shuffle Your Music Hear songs in a totally random way. Just turn on Shake to Shuffle, then give iPod nano a shake and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. You never know what iPod nano will spin for you next. Don't Just Listen to the Radio, Pause it and Tag it, Too The new FM tuner lets you see the names of songs and artists. And two amazing features--iTunes Tagging and Live Pause--make listening to the radio nothing like listening to the radio. FM Radio--it Gives You Yet Another Way to Rock There's always something great on the FM dial. And now the FM tuner lets you hear your favorite morning shows on your commute and discover new music while you work out. It even shows you what and who you're listening to.1 With Live Pause, You'll Never Miss a Beat Say you need to take a quick break from listening to your favorite radio station. iPod nano lets you pause it with a click. Another click and you're listening to your station again. You can even rewind as far back as 15 minutes, then fast-forward to catch up to the live broadcast. iTunes Tagging--the New-Fashioned Way to Discover Music It's quite a dilemma: You're listening to the radio and you hear a song you like, but when you go to iTunes, you can't remember the name or even who sings it. Enter iTunes Tagging. Now, you can use the Click Wheel on iPod nano to tag the song. iTunes creates a list of all your tagged songs so you can easily preview or purchase them when you sync iPod nano to iTunes. VoiceOver--the Talk of the Music World VoiceOver tells you the title and artist of the songs you listen to. And does it so seamlessly, you'll be surprised at how brilliant it is. Let's Talk VoiceOver What if you're listening to a song and want to know the title or the artist? Just use the Click Wheel or the controls on the optional Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic and VoiceOver tells you the song name and who's performing it without interrupting your music. So you're never distracted from your ride or run by looking down at your screen. The nano now includes an FM radio with iTunes Tagging and Live Pause functions. Capture a thought, a reminder, a class lecture, or any audio recording you want with Voice Memos. The new Pedometer counts every step you take. Or add Nike+ shoes and a Nike + iPod Sport Kit for the perfect workout partner. How it Works You'll notice how smoothly and easily VoiceOver works. A lot of thought went into creating an iPod nano that not only talks, but says the right things. It all begins with iTunes and its seamless integration with iPod nano. First, iTunes reads your song information, then uses the VoiceOver Kit to generate the announcements for the songs, artists, and playlists. Just sync your iPod nano to your computer and it really speaks to you. It Speaks Multiple Languages Your music library has songs from all over the world--a love song from France, a bolero from Spain, a pop tune from Japan. Luckily, VoiceOver speaks fluent song. iTunes selects the language and best voice for your song titles and artist names. It looks at song data, like the title, artist, and album information, then applies intelligent algorithms to choose the right language. For example, iTunes recognizes the song "Ya Viene el Sol by Ozomatli as a Spanish song, so your iPod nano will automatically speak that song title and artist in Spanish. If you prefer to hear that information spoken in another language, you can change the designated VoiceOver language for that song in iTunes. Hit the Ground Running--Or Walking With the Nike + iPod Sport Kit (sold separately) and a built-in pedometer to help keep you motivated and track your fitness progress, iPod nano makes working out less routine. Step it up with the New Pedometer You take your iPod nano with you everywhere. Why not use it to stay fit? iPod nano now doubles as a Pedometer. It uses the built-in accelerometer to keep track of your steps and help you meet your fitness goals. You can create a daily step goal or set it to Always On so it counts all the steps you take, all the time. Which makes iPod nano the ideal exercise partner. Rock and Run Your shoes and your iPod nano team up to maximize your run. See the minutes tick by. Watch the miles unfold. Hear real-time voice feedback. All to your favorite music, including your chosen Power Song--that one song that always gets you through the home stretch. Rock the Gym Take Nike + iPod to the gym and minute by minute, mile by mile, you're motivated by more than music. Connect your iPod nano to a Nike + iPod compatible cardio machine. Record your pace, time, and distance as you work out. With iPod nano, every trip to the gym becomes a new challenge. Sync When you're finished, connect your iPod nano to your Mac or PC. iTunes automatically sends your workout data to nikeplus.com. Every workout and every run is there, ready for you to review. Get pumped for your next run with recommended challenges, custom training programs, and maps of new routes to try. Or share motivation with runners across the world. Note to Self: Voice Memos Are Here The built-in mic lets you capture a thought, a reminder, a class lecture, or any audio recording you want with Voice Memos. iTunes: Your Greatest Hits It's even easier to organize, browse, grow, and share your digital music and video collection with the new iTunes. And now you can save items with a wish list and enjoy iTunes extras--bonus features on select albums and movies--like lyrics, photos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes media. Love my nano
This is the perfect size for taking to the gym. Battery life is fantastic - I can't say enough about it.
Great deal, looked brand new when i got it.
I got a great deal on this ipod and when i got it u couldnt tell it was used. i was very satisfied.
Another Great Product from Apple!
What really needs to be said? iPods are by far the best portable music players and this 5th Generation iPod Nano is no different. The functionality is great and the Nike+ feature is awesome for runs! The pedometer works really well too. Surprisingly, the video camera actually takes some very good videos. Nothing super fancy, but pretty darn good considering that this is primarily a music player. I got this mainly for working out/running and it is awesome; very lightweight and small in design. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting some form of small portable music player.
Okay Device
Works as advertised, but the "click" wheel navigation is sketchy, and, quite frankly, outdated. Display is clear, but still too small for those of use who are far-sighted. iTunes is a clunky piece of software in need of a serious revamp. Also, I am disappointed in how difficult it is to import music to the iPod - no drag and drop directly into the iPod in this day and age? You have got to be kidding me. You are forced to use iTunes, which, as stated above, is kind of crappy.
I love it!!!
So easy to use, load songs, etc. Sounds great. Compatible with disc player, car stereo. It goes everywhere with me. Get it!

Solid Form Factor & Function & Retains Dock Connector!
The iPod Nano update on September 1, 2010 is arguably the most dramatic since the iPod Nano moniker was introduced by Apple five years ago.
More than an update, this is a new product that simply retains the iPod Nano name. It gains a significant feature, but loses several others.
The big deal is the touch interface on the newest iPod Nano. iPod Nano users will now be "touching," their music as iPod Touch and iPhone users have before them. The click wheel is gone. To find your music, you select a category from the Nano's menu such as "Playlists," or "Artists," and select from there. Less convenient or more convenient than a click wheel? Honestly, about equal. The screen is indeed small, but not unusable.
FM Radio has been retained as well as the Fitness aspects with the ability to use Nike + or simply the built in pedometer. However, the form factor will be a major benefit for those working out with the Nano. The previous Nano required an armband to keep it on you while working out, jogging, or the like. Not always comfortable, an additional expense, etc. However, with this new small, square form factor that need is gone. Now, we can simply "clip," the Nano onto us, with the built in clip, and run to our listening content. A bigger deal than you might think.
The downside? Features have been removed from Nano. The screen is much smaller than the previous generation. Therefore, playback of video content from iTunes is gone. Nano no longer plays video, which was a feature added three years ago. Secondly, last year, Nano added a small video camera to record low quality video, which could be played back on the Nano's screen or synced with iTunes and viewed on your computer. That feature is gone too. The device is too small now for a camera or to watch video. This new generation iPod Nano has many exciting new features, but buyers must be aware that it is no longer a video player. It is something new. Those wishing to play video on an iPod must choose an iPod Touch.
My opinion on this change? Honestly, did I ever watch video on the iPod Nano's screen? No. For me, while they kept trying to make the screen larger, it was simply too small to enjoy more than a once a year video. Likewise, the camera was simply not high enough quality to keep yourself entertained by using on a regular basis. It became a feature unused by many.
The iPod Nano has changed and gone back to being an exceptional music player. There is nothing here you do not need to enjoy music. However, the display and touch interface brings the 21st century "touch," that Apple has made so popular to a more affordable device. The touch function will be limited here to simply selecting songs or bringing up the clock, but nevertheless, touch has made its way to the Nano.
I'm most thankful that the Nano has indeed retained the DOCK CONNECTOR. The dock connector is key to use with iPod accessories such as docks, speaker docks, and built in car iPod connectors. The nano is so diminutive that if you plug it into the factory iPod kit of an automobile, the cable's dock connector will look nearly bigger than the Nano itself. Not a negative, just amusing. Nevertheless, the dock connector is there, and you will be able to use the device in such applications, and that was a significant decision by Apple. Users want and need the dock connector. It is there on this iPod Nano, but still missing from the Shuffle due to its even more diminutive size.
Overall, Apple has removed video (both playback and recording) from this iPod Nano. However, it's an equalling good music player. Navigation of music is now completed via touch, which works effectively despite the small screen. It's really hard to believe so much can fit into such a small device and I believe everyone will be a bit shocked when they open up the Nano the first time and see it's size yet primary function as an effective music player retained. The newest Nano brings a nearly Shuffle like size, but yet retains the functionality (touch, clip, dock connector) that serious music lovers and those who use the Nano while working out, demand.

Much Improved, Cameras a Small Disappointment
iPod Touch had never included a camera prior to this September 1, 2010 update.
The lack of a camera was one of the significant aspects that kept the iPod Touch from feeling more like an iPhone.
Now, this iPod Touch has two cameras, reason for celebration? Not exactly. The usability of the cameras included is minimal.
The iPod Touch does have significant upgrades. It now features a similar display to iPhone 4, which Apple dubs Retina Display. It is twice the resolution, and looks oh so gorgeous. Honestly, I have never used a display that looks as crisp as Apple's Retina Display. Steve Jobs had described it as looking similar to the text in a high quality book, and I would have to agree. You must see it, to see the difference. Therefore, the display in the updated iPod Touch is a significant upgrade.
Secondly, the iPod Touch will feel much snappier to you than the previous generation. The reason? It now includes the same Apple A4 processor that is found in iPhone 4 and iPad. It's snappy. Applications launch with much improved speed, multitasking works easier and so forth. The processor may not make the device look different, but it's a significant feature update.
Next, to the cameras. Both the front and rear camera can be used. The front camera is similar to the iPhone's front camera, VGA only, which is rather low resolution. However, Apple knows the front camera would primarily be used for Face Time. Face Time allows you to make video chats with other iPod Touch (the new ones) and iPhone 4 users. You must be connected to WiFi to make these video chats. The Face Time icon is presented prominently on the home screen of the iPod Touch. I have had access to Face Time for several months, with my iPhone 4. It is very cool and works surprisingly well. The problem is finding other users on the compatible device (right now only iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th generation) plus them being on WiFi at the same time. Over time, the feature will be more useful as more members of your family and friends have a compatible device. However, you simply don't always want to have a video chat with people either. Sometimes voice or even text is enough. Therefore, the front camera is not a total bust. It can be used to try out Face Time, which some users will probably find useful as least on occasion.
The rear camera on the iPod Touch is the disappointment. The rear camera is not even 1 megapixel. The camera is 960x720 resolution. Therefore, for still images the quality is quite low. After all, it's not even 1 megapixel. The iPhone 4 camera is 5 megapixel. Is the camera a total bust? Well, it can take HD video, because HD video is actually lower resolution than still digital cameras. The quality of the HD video it takes will need to be judged by the user. The camera's optics are simply not the same as used in the iPhone 4 due to the thinness of the iPod Touch. Therefore, camera quality is significantly lower compared to iPhone 4. However, you can take a video and edit it on your iPod Touch. It probably won't look as good as someone who takes a video on an iPhone 4 though.
Overall, I think highly of the new iPod Touch. The iPod Touch most attractive features are still there, indeed it will do many of its best features, better than ever thanks to the fast A4 processor now included. Gaming will be quicker and web browsing will be snappier all thanks to its faster processor. For me, these are uses most buy the Touch to do. Play games and use it as an internet device for browsing the web or reading email. The touch is still a winner in these categories. Highly recommended. In terms of being a music player, iPod Touch is as great as ever too. You can continue to touch the screen to select your music and view cover art. No change there. 40 Hours of Audio Playback. Video Playback is somewhat improved! The faster A4 processor allows iTunes HD videos that you purchase to be played, and the retina display makes them look oh so gorgeous. The cameras are the only small disappointment. The front camera is ok, but how often will you Face Time? The back camera's quality and specs are simply not up to the level many have come to expect due to mobile phones' cameras getting better over the years. However, Apple chose to make the iPod Touch thinner than ever! That thinness limits the cameras that will fit into the device.
The iPod Touch is still a solid value. Cheaper than an iPhone and with no service contract. A big plus for many especially teens and kids. iPod Touch is now as fast as the iPhone and has the gorgeous Retina display that the iPhone features. It's a winner. Some may only be disappointed by its cameras. Still, very much recommended.
iPOD Touch 4G Review, WARNNING the camera is horrible !
Before i start reviewing the ipod touch 4G you need to know that the camera is absolutely horrible for still shots, it can only take 0.7MP Pictures (YES less than 1MP!), you can check this fact yourself by going to apple official website, you will find this info under official Specs, the ipod touch camera is meant for video not still shots, for video it's as good as flip cameras.
I got the top rated ipod touch 3G review in amazon so i suggest that you read it if you want to learn more about the ipod touch in general (You can check it by clicking on my profile) So knowing all that many people are wondering is it worth it to upgrade from 3G to 4G? new users are wondering if they should get the 3G now since it's cheaper after the 4G introduction?
So the question is what is new with the ipod touch 4G? only you can decide if it's worth it for you or not.
1- The ipod touch 4g got a faster processor (Only noticed if you multitask a lot really)
2- Double the ram 512MB which is great for multitasking and the new OS 4.0 (3G got 256MB ram only)
3- 2 Cameras for video/stills and FaceTime video chat (cameras are horrible for still shots, decent for video)
4- HD video recording and playback
5- Higher resolution screen (Awesome for browsing, you will never go back to 3G screen after trying it!)
6- Improved Battery life 40Hours for audio playback with the 4G (3G got only 30Hours audio playback)
7- It's lighter, thinner and narrower (better to hold in your hands, specially if you got a small hands like me)
8- Built in Microphone ! (Ipod touch 3g microphone is combined with the headphones and NOT built into the ipod)
9- Three-axis gyro (Some apps and games use it)
Pros:
-Slick,small and light device
-Great high resolution touch screen
-The BEST web browser on a portable device
-Amazing video/music playback
-App Store (Too many cool applications for Free)
-Display screen is clear and bright
-No bugs and annoying stuff a very reliable hardware
-64GB Flash based mp3 player
Cons:
1-The camera is horrible for still images
2-There is still no real FM radio built in (Internet radio is available though)
3-Bluetooth is still locked for sharing
My top 3 music Apps:
1-TuneWiki (Play lyrics for every song you play)
2-Pandora Radio (Play music by almost any artist free!)
3-Shazam (record Any song via your microphone then play it and Shazam will tell you the name of the song !)
Would have gotten 5 Stars from me if it were not for the horrible Camera, many people will be disappointed with it, i hope you guys liked my review, it will be updated soon !
camera is horrible
Camera is just simply horrible.
back is .7 mega pixels and
front is .3 mega pixels...
Nothing different.
the ios4 just drains the battery, and nothing rly new except the 2 cameras.
Don't buy... you can get 3rd gen for 150 at cragist or w/e don't buy this.. trust me..
BEST IPOD EVER!!!!!
Finally Steve Jobs got it right! An ipod that is well worth the price for its size and functionality. Wifi with b/g/n, retina display, dual cameras, and a faster processor is more than what we should all expect in this handheld piece of ingenuity. This is my first ipod, or Apple product for that matter, and I am truly pleased by this generation of the ipod series. One year from now, I am sure to sell it to buy a fifth generation, but in the meantime, I am looking forward to using this awesome device.
Meeh
Exact copy of the iphone 4 but without the phone part. Plus same price as when i bought the 2G.

Let's be realistic here, This is a huge downgrade.
Alright when I saw the new Nano being revealed yesterday, I couldn't help but wonder what was Apple thinking! The 5th Nano was pretty much perfect, it was loaded with features, you could say that it had more features then the 3rd gen iPod Touch. It had a radio and camera. So what are you getting this year for 150 dollars? A glorified Shuffle with a touch screen. Lets see for the same price as what a 5th generation Nano was you get the same memory 8GB, but you get a way smaller screen, no radio, no camera, and who would want to watch videos on that small of screen. My question is how could you even use the Nano if you have big hands? Really Apple was this worth it just for a touch screen. This isn't even like a mini touch at all, it does none of the things the touch does and doesn't even have the same operating system. If you need the space I would say get the 8GB Touch for 80 more, if space isn't an issue then get the Shuffle for 100 dollars cheaper. Or you could even get a 5th gen Nano which would be better than this lousy thing.
Change? Yes. Improvement? It depends.
The newest Nano 6 has returned to the squarish look of Nano 3, which I find aesthetically more appealing than the rectangular stick shapes of Nano 4 and 5. To be frank, I got more pure musical use out of my Nano 3 than an Ipod Classic (good for storage), a Touch 2 (good for kids' games and reading), and a Nano 5 (pedometer, video camera, radio, record library and photos). The primary "improvement" of Nano 6 is touch-screen sensitivity--but very limited. For the most part, the user is simply enabled to move music titles and folders by touching the screen.
If you already have a Nano, the new one would seem insufficient justification for an upgrade. If you're contemplating your first Nano, it could be a tough call between the 6 and the 5, since only the latter has a video camera--one, moreover, that proved as adept at capturing video and audio as an early Flip. Granted, there was a sense of clutter with Apple's decision to overload the aptly named Nano with so many bells and whistles, including the video camera. Eliminating the camera solves the problem of finding room for an aperture on the face of such a small gadget. (Because the lens is at the bottom of the device, at the juncture where the user grips it, the Nano 5 no doubt filmed more shots of hands, palms and fingers than any video camera to date.) Even though it's not customary for Apple to lower prices, they may have to in the case of the Nano 6 to make it seem more attractive than its more fully equipped predecessor.

Genius Mixes Now there's another great way to get a customized set of songs on iPod nano--have Genius do all the work. Introducing Genius Mixes. All you do is sync your iPod nano to iTunes, and Genius automatically searches your library and finds songs that sound great together to create up to 12 Genius Mixes. These mixes are like channels programmed entirely with your music. It's a great way to rediscover songs you haven't listened to in forever, and some you even forgot you had. Go with the Cover Flow View your album art in Cover Flow for a faster way to find the song you want to hear. Or just press and hold the center button to flip the album cover art over so you can see the songs. When you find the right song, press the center button to add it to your on-the-go playlist.
Get it!
