Amazon is great, Apple not so much
My daughter's 2 year-old MacBook is on its 3rd one of these. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone wrestling with Apple to get them to honor the 1 year warranty on one of these I bought directly from Apple on September 9, 2009.

Amazon, however, is great in fast shipping and standing behind their sales. They are a 5-star company. Apple not so much.

Skip the Apple Store & Save Money
Can't beat the price. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Apple prices for the power adapters are ridiculous. Don't waste your money buying it new. My adapter arrived promptly and works perfectly. Better than driving to the store, waiting in line, spending eighty bucks, and then driving home.

Dont buy this Adapter
this is not and apple product although the image has the symbol of an "apple" on it.
the adapter worked for approximately 15 days then no longer was capable of charging the battery for the computer.

At the time of purchase I referred 2 other parents to the product and they also had similar outcomes.

Horrible product, dont be fooled...Save your money and just buy the original.

The power adapter I recieved was a complete lemon. I contacted the seller and after several attempts I finally got a response. They had me mail the product back to them claiming they would reimburse me. However, that NEVER happened. I wasted around $30 dealing with this seller. I am very unhappy. I would highly advise not purchasing anything from this seller.

Poor Quality accessory, selling way too expensive!!!
I just bought my 2nd Adaptor in 3 years after the 2nd one also failed on me. I am therefore now on my 3 adapter (all authentic Apple accessories) in 3 years! The previous 2 went up in smoke and the smelling of burning cables. They both failed around the 1 year mark and from reading other mac user reviews online, it appears they have a life span of around 1 year. I just bought the 85W version and hope I have better luck with it this time around, however I am not really optimistic since the design appears to be the same as the 60W version, with the end of the cable which attaches to the port in the laptop failing and causing the wires to burn out. I have a 1-year warranty, so I am hoping it at least fails while I am not traveling overseas and before the warranty expire.

Unstable and Unstable...
I use ubuntu linux system, and it works ok when I plugged it in, and that's it.
It does not work after couple of seconds, every connection stalled and does not work.

I hope I'm the last person to waste a money on this product.

Complete personal product review
This is a cheap way to connect an Ethernet cable into a USB port.

1) This item is made in China and the package looks like something you find in a 99 cent store, so there is no costumer service.

2) The driver disc that comes with this adapter and is needed to be installed before your computer recognizes the device is a MINI-DISC, not the standard size compact disc so be prepared for that.

3) This adapter DOES work just fine for me on my Sony Vaio Laptop that has no Ethernet connection ports, only two USB ports so I received exactly what I wanted and paid about $3.50 + S&H for.

Caution: My only set back with this adapter is that it gets extremely hot. Not hot enough to burn you on contact but it is uncomfortably hot and I would not leave it plugged in longer than I needed to.

Garbage product
I read the other reviews and I thought it would be a good temporary fix but to my avail it wasn't. Don't buy this product. There is no tech support if it doesn't work. In my opinion ,don't buy

Don't Buy
This product is a waste of money it doesn't even work the LCD doesn't lite up. My system doesn't acknowledge it's existence because it's a dead end. Good thing it's only 3 dollars or I would be very aggravated.

Just plugged it in and *BAM* new network interface (using Ubuntu 9.10--Karmic), no hassle, does what its supposed to, cheap too. I'm ordering several more.

Thank goodness there's an adapter for this! We started out with the Click Start with batteries only, and it's a very power-hungry device. I personally think the adapter should be included in the Click-Start package, but it's cheap enough I guess. We've had it for over a year with no issues - works great!

Adapter
The adapter was bought for the click start game. We prefer using the adapter over use of batteries. It has been working just fine.

After reading the reviews I thought the adapter was necessary.

If you like spending your money you can use batteries, but it's really worth it to buy the adapter, it will pay for itself & you don't have the trouble of installing batteries every couple weeks.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my three year old. My older son did just fine learning on an ordinary computer. I thought this would be even better. It is useless. Especially the mouse. I could not use the mouse as an adult. No way is this a meaningful training tool for a kid. Totally frustrating experience for my son.

Needed a way to reduce how much I had to pack for business trips. This allows me to utilize my cell phone headset with my PC for my skype account. I don't have to pack my pc headset along anymore. Very nice. Works great. Exactly what I was looking for and a great price.

Dont buy it for Blackberry use
I bought this to use to utilize my over the ear headset that was 2.5mm to use with my 3.5mm Blackberry Tour port. Sound quality was good but the product was terrible otherwise. After the first time using it the metal piece started stripping and after 3 uses I couldnt even fit it into the 3.5mm port of the Blackberry (but my Blackberry 3.5mm headset worked fine so it was this product not the phone)

If you were planning on using it for the same purpose, do not buy this, it will be a waste of your money

Great product
The Phone Headset Buddy is such a great product! Now when I travel I don't have to bring two pairs of headsets, I just bring my phone headset and I can use it on my PC with Skype or Google Voice. Does exactly what it says, converts 2.5mm phone headset plug to two 3.5mm PC mic/audio plugs. I'm so happy to finally have a phone headset to pc adapter!!

Does exactly what it says it does!
I just received this product within 3 days from the seller. I recently took two jobs working from home. One required taking calls from the PC while the other from a telephone. I needed a good headset and didn't want to buy two so I looked EVERYWHERE for an adapter like this and no one had them.

With this adapter I was able to plug in my PC headset into the adapter and the adapter into my telephone and it worked perfectly. Calls are clear, I can be heard and I can hear them. When I'm not using the phone, I unplug from the adapter and plug up to the PC again. One headset for both devices.

Another bonus is I can hear the caller out of both the left and right sides. I can't understand why no one seems to sell this adapter and I can understand why its so pricey. But it was either 15 dollars for the adapter or 100 for an extra headset. I figured I would give it a try. Seeing how frustrating it was to search for this to begin with I just wanted to make it clear so it's easy on those looking. Yes this Adapter allows you to use your PC Headset with your 2.5mm plug in telephone.

Works perfectly, but $15?
I work at a call center and we recently switched to VoIP phone units. As before to get a nice headset that'd be compatable with our phone I'd have to fork out about $300-400 for what I was looking for, I pounced on the new system when it had a 2.5mm jack.

This lets me use standard, comfier, better, and more cost effective headsets on our phone system, and the adapter works perfectly. I end up saving a ton of money on the end, and if I ever quit the job I'll still have a working headset I have a use for, but I'm pretty sure the adapter isn't worth $15.

Target sells a VoIP headset that comes with an adapter that fulfills the exact same purpose. The headset and adapter there goes for $20, and adapters that go from 2.5mm to dual 3.5mm are about $2.

Still, I save a ton of money in the end. Anyone looking for high comfort for a low price will still end up miles ahead by buying this!

65 watt ac adapter
Works really well, but is very short (as specified). Other than that, I have no qualms with it.

Item didn't work
The 1st cord that was sent was broken. They sent me another one immediately w/out me having to return the broken one. The 2nd one they sent wouldn't power the laptop and after looking it was not on the list for replacement cords for the laptop. This cord has been sent back to them today at my cost. I am awaiting a credit.

Is NOT an exact replacement
I have a Compaq EVO N610C and I was looking for a replacement AC Adapter to work in Caracas, Venezuela. This adapter works fine and charge battery, but I took out three stars because it is rated 18V & 2.5 Amp = 45W and seller did not show this technical information in big letters. It is not the exact replacement for original 65W charger, rated 18V & 3.6 Amp from Compaq.

Exactly what you're expecting
I've had a Compaq Armada e500 laptop for a long time now and this is my fourth power cable. Mind you, this has nothing to do with the quality of the part, I own cats and cats like to chew cords.

One complaint I've had with previous replacements is the length of the cable. The original cord seemed to be infinitely long such that I could go almost anywhere in a room and still be plugged in. Other replacement cables seemed to always be a few inches short. Not so with this one. While it isn't quite as long as the original, it is long enough to get the job done.

The reason I give this cable 4 out of 5 stars is simply that the brick itself does get fairly warm when in use. Other cables have gotten downright hot so this one is an improvement, but none of the aftermarket units dissipate heat like the original cable.

If you own a compatible laptop and need a replacement a/c adapter, go ahead and pick this one up.

Use what works
Bought an $80 and then a $60 FM tuner for my car. Both worked horribly. Decided to try one of these, and it worked very well. Best of all, no need to worry about finding an open station in a city where it seems that every channel is occupied. No scratchy noises, no weak signals, and oh yeah, it's only $14. Throw in a car charger for the ipod and the grand total came to $20.

Did the flip sides thing
It would immediately flip to Side B from the first try. In the garbage.

VERY Disappointing!
I was very encouraged when I read so many glowing reports, especially regarding older vehicles. However, this product DOES NOT work well in my vehicle, a 1999 Jeep Cherokee with the factory-installed stereo system still intact. I'm not sure why, but I have a suspicion that it has something to do with the fact that my tape player does not have an actual play button - it begins playing the tape as soon as it is inserted. I tried switching between radio/cd/tape and then engaging the adapter and iPod, but that did not help. When engaged, the volume is so low that you cannot hear it while driving. I could go on - but .... You really do get what you pay for. And I was so looking forward to listening to my iPod while driving.

Works as advertised
Nice alternative to spending several hundred bucks to fix my jammed CD player. I read the reviews and compared with other similar products, and this adapter performs better than I expected.

Great Bang for the Buck
Not as powerful or as well built as the original one from Apple but it gets the job done.
Letting you battery die may require you to give the adapter a few minutes to get you back up and running.
That would be the one and only drawback. Mine stays relatively cool at all time. No complaint on that side.

Will evaluate further
This AC adapter for a MAC PowerBook worked well out of the box. However, after about 2 weeks of use it suddenly became nonresponsive and wouldn't charge or conduct electicity to the machine. My son had to tweak it repeatedly over the next few days to get it to function. Since then, my son reports that it works most of the time but is "temperamental". We're going to bring it to a local "Apple Store" to check the connection from the machine to make sure the electrical conduction is not being primarily affected by this. If they let us know that the problem is primarily on the computer end of things, I'll write back and amend my review.

Don't waste your money.
I bought this because it seemed like it had decent reviews, minus a few here and there, and the price was definitely right. I started having trouble after 6 months and now it totally died after 9. I am now having to shell out more money to buy another one, but rest assured it will be the original Apple brick cord. I know this was cheap, but I actually thought it should last longer than 9 months. I mentioned this to my son and he told me he bought the same one a year ago and it lasted 6 months. I wish I would have told him what I had planned on buying before spending almost $30. The old phrase, you get what you pay for, is especially true with this product.

HEADACHES ALL AROUND
Product came quickly and I was very pleased with that, but that's about as far as the good feelings go. The product did not fit my Powerbook G4 as what was written in the description. I thought, "no big deal. I'll just send it back like they said within 30 days and I'll get my money back." I thought wrong. The description says that it has to be sent with a tracking number and I ended up spending more money on that shipping than I did on the actual product. But I figured, well it's over with. I don't have to deal with that thing anymore. Wrong. The product was delivered and signed for, which I can check with the USPS tracking number, and I still haven't received a refund. I've emailed multiple times but all I get is "We haven't received your returned package." Clearly this is a lie, since it was signed for by someone there. I've sent them the tracking number, asked what was going on, and now I don't even get a reply. It's to the point where I will probably press charges if I don't hear from them again. Not happy. Never buying from them again, and I would never recommend anyone else to buy from them unless they know that their product is going to work exactly right.

Great for price
The cord is a decent length. There's no indicator light as to whether or not its charging, but for the price you can't complain. Works fine with my PowerBook G4.
