I have a samsung 42 in plasma TV and I wanted to screen my PC in HD so I bought this cable. I dont think the problem is w/ the cable, but there is a border around the screen about an inch wide whenever I put it in 1920x1080. I probably should have bought a video card with a native HDMI output but there a lil too pricey for me. Font doesnt look that great, but video is really good. Played L4D, CSS, and F.E.A.R. 2 with no lag what so ever. Also watched some HD shows from iTunes on it that looked really good.

Doesn't work in ten minutes
I just open and plug-in. After ten minutes, my LCD showes no signal. I thought is my LCD broken but after I try to plug-in other computers and LCD Televisions, Nothing shows up. It just broke within ten minutes.

Everything's working fine thus far
I am using this cable to connect my KVM to my laptop and after two days of use, everything's great thus far. I needed the cable since my KVM is DVI in and out and my Dell laptop only has VGA and HDMI. No problems, seems to be a nice product at a good price.

Met All Expectations
The extension cable worked exactly as I hoped that it would. I needed an extension to connect my stereo headphone set to my Sony Home Theater System and also periodically to my desktop PC. The sound quality still remains excellent with or without the extension cable. The end fittings are snug so there has been no unintended separation at the connection points. The order arrived very quick with no surprises.

good extension
simple extension for laptop to speakers, mp3 and phone to speakers from couch. these are noticeably thin, my belkin (which i believe audiophiles consider cheap) extension looks like A-1 quality compared to this, but for my uses these are perfect, no white noise or hissing and they work!!

Functional Extension
I needed an extension because my headphones were too short to fit into my speakers. I looked at a lot of other extension reviews, and the main flaws of most of the extensions were that the wires would break or the sound quality would be greatly diminished afterwords. The majority of the reviews for this extension seemed positive so I decided to get it. This extension is great, you can walk around your room, or walk on the treadmill with increased mobility without a reduction in sound quality or loudness.
I haven't had a it long enough to know how long it might last before it may break down. So far I've had it for about a month plus a week, and there are no cracks in the wire, or any change in the quality, and I use for hours a day. Compared to other extension products I've seen this is a good buy for it's price and it's functionality.

Piece of garbage
Here's an honest reveiw:

Really like the length and look of the extender, only problem is that after the
second day I used it, the right channel wouldn't work for any speakers or head phones that I'd use it with (even with cleaning and adjusting position of jack).

Fortunately I went rumaging through my old audio equipment and found my old extender which is only half as long and doesn't have as appealing of a look, but it does work after 4 YEARS of use (same cost range too).

Only 2 days of working compared to 4 years of working makes me give this product
the lowest possible review rating.

Gets the job 100% done
It's a cheap product, but going for name brands isn't necessary for a product like this. It extended the length of my audio cord just like I wanted and I listened carefully to see if there was any additional interference or static; none was noticeable.

Eventually made it work....
Cable was purchased to connect a HTC Hero cellphone headphone out to AV Receiver's portable in (Pandora in living room -- yea!) Here's the reason for only three stars:

Cable had different behavior depending on which end of cable was connected to AV receiver. Both ways were pretty bad, but in one configuration, the slightest movement of the phone caused a great deal of noise/humming (and tended to pause whatever song was playing in the app). Also, found that if Hero was being charged, it required a particular sequence to work (e.g. had to have AV receiver turned off when connecting the cord to receiver.) It's possible I misunderstood the suitability of this cord for my application.

However, I'm not returning this cable because an extender cord I already owned (3.5 mm male and 3.5 mm female connectors) fixed all problems. I plugged the older extender cord into the receiver, the Cables to Go cord into the extender and into the phone; this works very well. The old extender cord is noticeably thicker than the Cables to Go cord, and it has gold plated connectors -- don't know if either of these is the reason for the vast improvement when using it combined with Cables to Go cord, but it seems that as long as the Cables to Go cord doesn't get plugged into the receiver, things work much better.

As a test, I tried the Cables to Go cord (by itself) with an MP3 player -- it worked great directly between the receiver and the player.

I didn't take any points off for the following, but things to keep in mind:

The plastic ends are pretty thick, slicing off a bit of the plastic allowed using the cord when phone is in a Body Glove cover (I did this after solving the more serious problems noted above by using the extender.)

Six feet (without using an extender) was too short to be able to use the phone from my normal spot in living room (clearly not a problem with the product, of course. I just didn't think it through before ordering.)

Cables To Go
The cord arrived at my house quickly and works great. I use it to connect my ipod to my ihome so I can have it in front of me while listening to it, rather than docking it. Good price, fast delivery. Thanks!

Great for Any Use.
There weren't much reviews when I came across this item, but I decided to bite the bullet and now I'm glad I did buy it. I mainly bought it to connect my HDTV to my macbook so I can use VLC player, and so far it works like a charm! This is my second time buying from the Cables to Go brand and their stuff is not bad. This cable plugged snuggly to the back of my HDTV and to the headphone jack on my macbook. I didn't experience any looseness of the plug when connected to a jack as was mentioned in other 3.5mm stereo audio cable product reviews. Overall, if you need sound coming out of your TV from your computer, this is the cable to get.

bought this at a nice price. I think this and the other cable cost less than the actual shipping. This cable is long which is very nice for me.

TV with no audio output
TV is great, but very disappointed that there is no audio output jack, I need to use earphones or add a speaker and there is just no way. There is a digital audio output jack, but none for tradional jack. Can't find anyone anywhere who has digital earphones etc. At least there are none out there for under $100 that I can find. Anyone know of any? Am hearing impaired and this is a real problem for me.

don't work for me
I had a similar experience to "2tall 1974." I plugged my laptop to my tv using this cable and the tv didn't see any connection. I received a replacement from HDE at no cost to me, and that too did not work. I tested using my laptop and my desktop monitor, and while I got an image, it was of poor quality. I informed the customer service dept at HDE and they promptly refunded the purchase price, plus shipping. HDE informed me that they are currently testing the batch of cables they received from their vendor, and it appears that they are no longer selling it here at amazon for the time being. While I can not recommend this cable at the moment, I can highly recommend HDE for their customer service. If HDE decides to sell this cable again, I would likely buy it from them simply because of the piece of mind I would get knowing that if there was a problem, they would resolve it satisfactorily and promptly.

Great Product
Great product but you also need an audio cable to be able to get sound.

Poor quality - twice.
I bought this cable intending to use it to watch Netflix movies from my laptop to my LCD TV. Like other reviewers have noted, it simply doesn't work. My LCD TV didn't even recognize that my laptop was connected. The display when using the cable to connect my LCD monitor to my PC was also distorted. With my stock VGA cable I received with my now 10 year old monitor, both of these applications worked flawlessly.

I wrote to customer service and they sent another cable, which was reportedly tested before shipping. The same problems occurred. It would cost more to return the cables than the actual purchase price. Don't waste your money. In this case, you truly get what you pay for. Also note HDE's policy that shipping costs are not refunded under any circumstances, and that Amazon's A to Z guarantee does not apply if you do not return the item to the seller.

I'm not sure where all these 5 star ratings are coming from, but that certainly was not my experience.

Works As Expected
Needed a USB extension cable for a KVM that I purchased. Always had good luck with Belkin products and this one didn't disappoint.

Works with Iphone 3GS
Quality construction. Used as an extension to the annoyingly short cable included with tje iphone. Now I can use my phone for hours while keeping a comfortable distance away from the charger.

I shopped for this at retail stores and found it very expensive. That is why I said it is the Best Value

Belkin does not disappoint
I use this cable in conjunction with a Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra Mini Hub and all my USB peripherals work (mouse, self-powered external Seagate hard drive, HP printer) as expected. Of course you can't *power* devices through an extension cable and hub so I don't connect my Western Digital My Passport Essential through it.

Note that the product states that using USB extension cables past a certain length may result is problems using your peripherals that aren't designed to be used with very long cables so you use according to your own risks, but as I said before I haven't had any problems.

Just Perfect
Since I'm functionally illiterate in computer tech, it took a while to find the cable 'extension cord' I needed to relocate my Canon MF 4150 printer.

With enough length to snake around the back of a 3-foot wide bookcase and across a desk, the 10-foot cable allowed an easy move. There's even room for relocating further from the PC. Nice!

The connection was easily made and performance is seamless. Never a glitch or interruption.

To reiterate some of the other reviewers' point: This is an EXTENSION cable, akin to an extension cord. Unlike an extension cord, however, length matters. Be sure you've chosen the proper footage for your application.

On a final note, the price is exceptional. Lesser quality extension cables (if you can find 'em) at brick and mortar retailers are ridiculously overpriced.

This Belkin product helps efficiently utilize space in my small home office. In my non-tech opinion, this extension cable is just perfect.

Not as advertised
Retail for this item isn't $34.99. New Egg sells it for $7.00. As for its performance ... who knows? I ordered it when I purchased a new HP all-in-one from Amazon. The printer's here, but the cable "is being prepared for shipment" (no word on when or if will ever ship) and Amazon advises that I can't cancel the shipment. Wanna bet?

Cable not well sheilded, so it is noisy

a cheap fix to a big problem
The sound on my computer monitor speakers is terrible (and no help from the manufacturer despite several calls), so I have been trying to replace them with others I have. No luck, since unlike older computers whose speakers did not require an amplifier, the more recent ones do. So with this product I ran the computer's sound outlet to an old boom box. The sound is vastly improved for a very minimal cost. After some drilling, I will be able to hook it up to the stereo amplifier for even better sound.

Does the Job!
This cable is a very good product. It does what its supposed to do without any problems. The length is very nice to have to reach devices farther away. A good buy.

If it's from Belkin, then it's good!
though this is just a cable, I'm very particular of its brand. I've been using belkin stuffs before and for me this brand really stands to it's principles. cables are cables and they almost work the same but sometimes quality and affordability makes a little difference and this is one of them. its performs well and fair same as the rest of other cables and for me that's good enough.

They are not stereo speakers; hence they only play out of one of the speakers. Very disappointing.

The cable is great.
On a PC if you don't have an extra slot with an extra sound card, you must plug it in the headset slot.
Don't forget to turn up the TV louder than normal to hear it.

No more green sparkles!
I was using the cable that came with my 19 inch viewsonic monitor for 5 years and it looked exactly like this cableb but it only had 18 pins and this has 24 pins. For the last few days I was getting green sparkles indicating cable or hardware failure. I like this monitor and didn't want a widescreen one for day to day activities so this cable was a godsend.

I was researching cables and most go for 30 bucks wow what a rip off for a dvi cable. It is a bit stiff and thick but I'm glad because hopefully it will last for 5 years.

I'm as happy as a clam I was using a dsub temporarily yesterday to test out if it is the cable and my initial hunch was right I wasn't getting any green sparkles with the dsub so it was narrowed down to cable or the connector and I'm glad it was just the cable.

Thank you Cables to Go I also have your 7 port hub which works great as well its blue and has a black light that matches everything.

This wasn't suppose to be shipped out so quickly but I got it Amazon still states its not send out.

Why Spend more
Why spend $30 or more at the big box store when this cable works just as well.

Note: when using Digital Video Interface, the monitor doesn't actually detect the video signal until Windows delivers the `welcome' screen. So, if you need to switch the bios settings to onboard VGA vs PCI display (onboard VGA is NOT the default) be forewarned that there won't be a PCI signal from your graphics card until the back-up on-board VGA is enabled so you can still switch plugs and access your bios in the event of an emergency.

My efforts to rebuild a computer which was the victim of a failed hard drive, were centered around the purchase of a new graphics processor unit (GPU) PCI card. The OS (operating system) was also outdated, and since the Windows versions since XP have each included a support feature for multiple monitors/displays, my graphics card also featured three types of interface jacks.

The one which resembles a PS/2 mouse plug is unused. But the standard VGA (blue) jack is also present. Also included was an adapter for converting a VGA line to a DVI plug-in. And the third interface is an actual DVI (digital video interface) jack. So you could potentially install two VGA plug-in monitors, or two DVI type monitors, to the one graphics card.

This DVI cable is approximately twice the thickness/gage of the VGA connector wire which was included with the new monitor. And while the packing insert stipulated a DVI cable was to be included, I didn't receive one. Contemporary computers tend to be very capable of processing digital video, and my monitor includes both DVI and VGA jacks. The DVI is preferred to enjoy the optimal performance of a flat-screen monitor.

Just Works!
Purchased this item in place of the product offered by Apple. Much less expensive and excellent quality. This item just works. I'm using it with my MacBook Pro 13 and an Acer 22" display.

You get what you pay for, look elsewhere
Buying cables is not fun, so of course I went the cheap route. After buying a $10 white cable at radioshack and having it crap out in under a month I gave little thought to buying "name brand". So I went on Amazon and bought this one since it was el cheapo. Well there is of course a reason why its so cheap. The cable itself worked for about A week before I lost the left audio channel from my devices completely and only by twisting and crimping the cable in such a delicate manner and being carful not to move my iphone was I able to get stereo sound again ha ha. Also the cable rustles and shakes to the point where you can barely here any audio coming through. And of course it now does the glitch where only the low drum of the lyrics and faded beat come through because the cable is failing. Absolute garbage, but not at all surprised. Recently I tried plugging in the iphone once more just for entertainment and now find that the cable emits a shrill buzzing that increases and decreases pitch based on the rpm's of the car ha ha. It's actually entertaining how much a of a failure this thing is. I don't even think the CEO of the company could hang himself with one of this cables without it snapping in half. Avoid this cable and just bite the bullet and buy the last male to male 35mm jack that you'll ever need.

Not a good place to buy from.
I will never buy anything from this company again. This was the worst deal I have ever tried to make. They never sent the product and never answered my emails about it. Amazon lets them get away with treating people like this and allows them to sell on their site. I hold Amazon as responsible as the seller. I will never buy another product from Amazon or go to their site until they stop and ban this seller from their site. i have been waiting on an answer from them. After this all emails and ads from Amazon will go to my spam. I have given them enough time to respond and they are much like this seller so I see why they allow this. Go to Ebay and you will not have this problem.

Does what it's supposed to
For the most part this is a cheap reliable auxillary cable that can connect your mp3 to your car or stereo system. However, after about 3-4 months the cable doesn't fully connect to the mp3 20% of the time and you have to fiddle with the cable so it sounds correctly.

Does what it's supposed to do and is the perfect length for my dorm room.

Works great
Cord works great. Sometimes have to play with it, such as spinning it while in outlet at the beginning but that's how any cord has worked that I have bought for my car to play my Ipod. Once I adjust cord in the outlet there is not any more sound issues and no static. I have only had this cord for 2 weeks, but so far deffinately worth the five bucks.
