Solved Jumpy Optical Mouse Problem Completely
For the price, this mousepad is a good, inexpensive way to solve mouse problems. My optical mouse was "jumping" all over he the place, no matter what I used as a mousepad. I had exhausted the possibility of a software/malware problem and was ready to throw away the mouse for a new one. As a last resort, I thought to try a new mousepad. This one solved the problem. Not too big, nor too small, just right. And so was the price. Great value to solve an annoying problem! Note: the pad is black, not brown (as it appears in the Amazon.com picture). Color was not an issue with me...all in all, a good investment.

Great Mousepad
I actually bought one these from Belkin for free, just had to pay shipping, but of course this was a few years ago and now it was starting to rip, full of dead skin and I washed it many times, one to many.

So I thought it was time for a new mouse pad and so I decided to get the same one that I got and it just works, it's simple mouse pad, mouse slides nice and smooth and grips well to the desk!

I don't know what else I can say, it's just a mousepad! It does it's job as a mouse pad and does it well.

A good ordinary pad one
- Very smooth with my magic mouse.

- It's thick, but not too thick (around 0.2"), so it's good.
- very soft and its edge doesn't hurt you, good for your wrist.

- Size is around : 7.7x9.3 inches
- THE COLOR IS BLACK, not brown like in the picture.

- with this price, this is a very good one

Works like a mouse pad.
I'm not really a connoisseur of mouse pads. I think this is the first one I've ever paid for. But, it seems to be the best mouse pad I've had. Works great with our optical mouse, and it's not too thick or too thin.

I'm not sure that a mouse pad deserve much more of a review than that.

A good pad
There's not much one can be critical about when discussing mouse pads, is there? The product arrived fairly quickly, was in perfect condition, and "works" fine. No complaints from me.

Not Recommended
This book was the required text for a class or I would not have purchased it. It is poorly organized and poorly written. The author provides an annoying amount of superfluous commentary and makes unnecessary digressions, both of which obscure the points he must be trying to make, and the content is sometimes repetitious. Finally, the book contains grammatical errors and the text includes what must surely be editorial content such as "stet" and "the acronym is the name", rendering some sentences unintelligible. Most books have their faults, but this one has too many to make it a worthwhile purchase; there are better texts which cover the same material.

explains hierarchy of design, from devices to operating system
The average person in the US now uses a computer. Typically running a Microsoft operating system or unix or linux. Yet there is an entire ecosystem of embedded computers out there, invisible to most people. Wolf's text explains how you can program such computers as well as design the circuitry in which they might exist. Here, "computer" in the book essentially means microprocessor plus some off-chip memory. The book surveys two main microprocessor families - ARM and SHARC. These are not the most common microprocessors. (Which might be by Motorola.). But Wolf chooses them to illustrate different design ideals for their instruction sets.

One nice thing about the book is that you get a direct grasp of the hierarchy of design and logic. Climbing from the low level devices of latches, gates, flip-flops and the like, to the microprocessor and its machine language, to the corresponding and far easier to use assembly language. Then, upwards to an operating system.

Good intro to embedded development
Do you know what percentage of all computers run Windows or some kind of Unix? Guess. I'll give you the answer later.

This book is about all the other computers out there - the ones in your car's airbags and antilock brakes; in your watch, cellphone, TV and its remote, CD player, and computer keyboard; in your implanted defibrillator.

Wolf starts with an introduction in terms of a personal-scale, practical example. Next he goes into what a CPU is in lots more detail than most programmers ever think about - the kind of detail you need when the CPU interacts so intimately with the other components in the system. Maybe you never heard of the ARM or SHARC processors (unless you already do embedded work), but they're good representative choices. ARM is an incredibly common core architecture, with supervisor mode and memory mapping, what it takes to run a "real" OS, whether it does or not. SHARC is a signal processor - a real processor, but with extras for fast artihmetic processing. Together, the two stand adequately for a large fraction of the embedded processors in use.The next chapter goes over hardware basics: the bus, memory mapped IO, interface issues, and in-circuit debugging.

The rest of the book generally covers higher level issues: software design, embedded and real-time OSs, coprocessors, and networks. Although coverage of IIC and similar board-level communication is good, I found the ethernet discussion weak. Anyone working at this level is likely to need 802.2 protocols, which I did not see mentioned. The book's strengths far outnumber its occasional soft spots, though.

Embedded computing is a huge, many faceted field, so no book can cover more than a tiny fraction of what it means. Still, this addresses a broad, useful range what you need to program 99% of the computers out there - because only about 1% run Windows or Unix.

too big for laptop screws
these tools are not exactly precision tools considering they're way too big for computer screws, at least Apple laptop ones. I tried taking apart my macbok pro with these guys but they just don't match the screw sizes. I returned the product, bought the appropriate tools at Osh and the problem was solved. They might work for desktop computer and other larger electronics...

I like this useful item!
This is an item I really like having. I own five computers and work on them myself whenever there's a problem or they need upgrading. This little kit keeps all the necessary tools in one place. The case is just big enough to also store my anti-static wrist band. Everything I need to work on my computers is in there. When I' don't need it the case is compact and easy to store. The price is reasonable too. I recommend it to anyone who works on computers.

Convenient. Compact. Comprehensive.
This is a nice little tool set. It may be just a tad bit pricey for the quality of tools, but it's great to have handy. I keep it in my office because I frequently have to take computers apart. This tool set has everything I would need and more. But basically I just use the Phillips screwdriver all the time.

As seen in the pic, you get 2 Phillips drivers of different sizes, 2 flat head, 2 hex head (great for tightening the hex nuts on a VGA or DVI port etc.), a chip remover (never will use this one), a torx driver, tweezers and cool little grabbers for screws lost in tight spots.

As I said earlier, the quality is not something that would warrant use of this tool set beyond typical in a computer environment. They certainly would stand to up to even normal use with a carpenter or mechanic or anything like that. There's no doubt this was made in China for less than a dollar. But if you're looking for a compact tool set to keep handy, consider this one.

A new name for the Belkin electronics toolkit
Only about half the tools in the kit are actually useful; however, those tools seem to be well made. It would be nice if there were more useful tools specific to electronics included in the kit.

Works great in my entertainment center.
Recently the 360 in our entertainment center over heated. The door was open but the building heat in the area was enough to shut down the system with 2 red rings. I bought this and wired it to an old router power converter. That is plugged into my reciever and when you turn it on the fan comes up. The fan is screwed to the back of the entertainment center that I cut a hole in. This one fan is more than enough to cool the receiver, 360, wii, ps3, and cable box. Not that all of them are running at once but it works great. It even gives a blue glow from behind everything that looks better than I thought it would. This fan isn't as bright as most with clear holders surrounding the blades. Great fan over all. Runs very quiet and moves a ton of air.

this fan isn't very bright but if you bought multiple of this type of case fan then it lights up your case pretty bright.

i would recommend getting a clear case fan, as they are brighter than the ones advertised here.

It's a fan lol.
It blows air.. it is quiet.. It is not as bright as the picture shows by any means. I uploaded a few pictures just to try & show you.. Not the greatest pictures but more realistic then the one Amazon has up there lol. Great for the price but if you want something brighter, look into another fan!

Just like other cooler master product, it lived up to it name. This fan make a little noise but i don't mind. Very good price for a 120mm LED, fan speed is not bad at all.

VGA to Component Cable
I replaced a project that was wired with a 50 foot component and the new projector only had VGA. This adapter worked great and I did not have to rewire anything.

There is no problem with this product, except it is expensive for what it is...
if your component cable can output 480P (progressive scan) signal and your monitor supports SOG, this is the best solution for component signal (I am using it for my PS2)

Excellent for use with hooking up Projector from a TV
This adapter/connector, whatever you want to consider it was perfect for the use I was looking for.
I bought a used projector and assumed it had the component video cable hookups(red/blue/green). It did not. It had the older composite red/white/yellow connections as well as VGA/computer hookups.
I am using it to run the video feed from my TV to my projector. I realize the other reviews say this is not for computer use. It initially had a green tint on the projecter, similar to the problems that other people were writing about in other reviews, but all i had to simply do was change the options on the projector from computer input to video input.

Perfect For It's Purpose
Here's the deal.

You should only use this on a projector or similar device that can accept a component signal over VGA. (I am using a ViewSonic PJ551D 2300 Lumen DLP XGA Projector)

It is capable of passing an HDTV signal, I am using it with a PS3 and a Xbox 360. It should not be considered a true HDTV signal, but it looks darn good at 120"

No fidelity loss or corruption whatsoever.

This is not for a CRT or LCD Monitor.

If you have a very specific purpose in mind then this adapter is for you. I use it to hookup my PS3, and Xbox360, to a component switch, then to a VGA Switch which is wear my HTPC connects, then to my projector.

Just what I was looking for.

I had order a video scaler to pump up some game systems to 1080i.
The scaler only had VGA to component male.

Unless I wanted to funnel this through a switch box I need female connectors.
I was able to plug a PS3 (via component) directly into my scaler with this cable.
Then the other side of the scaler went to my TV.

This worked perfectly.

It seems like people are confused and think the actually does some kind of converting.
It is just a wire. It doesn't do any magic.

Sweet Cable
Honestly, if you dont have any HDMI inputs this thing is just as good....i've had an HDMI cord before and all it did for me was make it so i didn't have separate inputs for the audio and the video, but as far as HD goes i thought it looked just fine.

Will Fit in Slim Ps3
I bought this cable after having read a couple of reviews that this cable won't fit into the slim version of the Ps3. Well trust me, it does. With a little gentle pressure it will click into the back of the Ps3 with a snug fit. It will not damage your console or cable and it will not fall out on its own either. Perfect picture, sturdy cable. The Sony branded cables really last and are of great quality. Before I purchased this one I used the S-Video cable I bought for my Ps2 which has to be at least nine years old now but still works like the day I bought it. The plugs and cabling are much sturdier on this cable so I could only assume it would last even longer.

Excellent cable upgrade.
I bought this to upgrade from the stock cable that came with my Audioengine A2 speakers. I could instantly hear a dramatic improvement in the tightness of the bass...much less muddy. Also the imaging and soundstage were much improved. Cables make a HUGE difference in sound quality.

I use this to connect my laptop to my home system, and they work tremendously. Inexpensive is just an added bonus.

These cables are great. I connected my laptop to home theater, the sound quality was great. I haven't tried any cheap cables so I can't compare.

Lasted a year and a half
The sound was good through these cables, but the cable pulled out of the connectors and quit working after a year and a half.

Works well, no problem there. However, the wire caising easily seperates from the connectors :( If you ask me, there's a level of quality and professionalism that was purposly overlooked by Belkin Chinese professionals. Try again please.

I've been reading this magazine since it's birth and it is by far the most informative magazine out there. There are always excellent articles about cutting edge technologies and I find the content to be user friendly in day to day development.
Now that CoDe is focusing on the .NET/Microsoft technologies goes to show that this is the ONLY development magazine to keep around.

Excellent Articles from Concepts to Implementation Specifics
I've been reading this magazine since 2000, [the first issue I think] when it was very Visual FoxPro-centric. It has always presented excellent articles about cutting edge technologies, and presented development techniques that are useful in real world development environments.
The focus is now on the .NET/Microsoft technologies, and there is always something in each issue I can use to improve my skill set.

Awesome resource for .NET Programmers!
CoDe is really the best .NET mag out there today. While MSDN is often too technical and Visual Studio mag is often too "lite", CoDe gives good examples from programmers who know what they are doing. I highly recommend it!

great bag! i love all the compartments. The only con i have, my lap top is 17' and is kind of snug when it is placed in the bag (but still fits well)

Stylish, roomy computer bag
I was looking for a computer bag that was both cute and gave me a little extra space. I like the looks of sleeker bags but wanted a place to put my power cord, a book or two, and other essentials (wallet, phone, etc).

The design is lovely, with a messenger-style strap that is easier to carry than an over-the-shoulder bag. There's also a small handle if you want to carry it that way.

The computer pocket is roomy and has adequate padding; it's lined with a very soft material. I have a 14" Dell which fits easily, with a little extra room (about 1" on the side and 2-3" on the top). There's a separate bag for storing the power cord. In front of the computer pocket is a space with pockets for pens, wallet, phone, etc. There are two zippered exterior pockets and one velcro full-size pocket on the back of the bag.

It's not the sleekest bag out there, but it has plenty of room for a computer plus all the other essentials to make it through my day. And it's beautiful, too! It appears to be well-constructed and I think it will last a long time.

good laptop bag to buy!
i first picked this bag because i thought it looked nice, but it functions very well and is comfortable to carry

Sort of cramped
All over it's a good bag. It does what you need it to do (transport your computer plus a few extras like power adapter and a mouse). It's not good to use for school because you can't fit much more than your computer. No chance of fitting in a binder or any more than 1 small text book. If you want a small, simple, durable bag to carry your laptop, this is it.

Needed a new bag to hold a new Lenovo X200s laptop. X200s has a 15.1" screen and the optional 9-cell lithium battery pack. Computer fits easily and is well protected with more than enough padding on both sides. Even comes with a special power supply zippered pouch and easily holds everything including a wireless mouse, Kensington lock, USB port extender and other items. Does so without becoming "stuffed" or bulging. Look forward to traveling with this bag!
