Good for a long time, then get out the DIY guides
This was quiet, comfortable, easy to use for the longest time. Very little cleaning other than key polishing and light dusting of the aluminum. Then the B key started sticking, even though it was one of the lesser-used keys. I followed the DIY guides I found on the internet, popped the key off, blasted the well with compressed air, picked out the grit, washed the plastic, dried it, and put it back in. Only after repeated cleanings did it stop sticking.
Now I'm just waiting in dread for more sticky keys.
Top Quality, Smooth & Quiet
I've tried several "after market" keyboards, including so-called heavy duty "Gamers" models. They have all fallen short on quality. Especially when the letters wear off!...
This Apple keyboard is excellent. Not expensive, but you can tell that Apple put the quality in there. Though shallow key throw, you get good feedback, even with it's silence. The only thing that makes a real sound is the space key. Not a bother, but it stands out from the silence of the other keys. nice wide spacing for big fat fingers for us guys.
Excellent Apple quality, and looks could not be better. Goes great with anything! I'm very happy I finally got this model. It will last for years.
You won't be disappointed if you get one!
No cushion behind keys
Apple may be good at making fast operating systems, but they are horrible when it comes to ergonomics. The keys on this keyboard have no cushion behind them. Hit them too hard and your finger will feel the vibration which feels like a shock. Hit it the wrong way, and your finger will actually hurt. The keyboard Apple used to make with the thicker keys was at least more comfortable than this. Apple needs to go back to the drawing board, and maybe hire some people from Logitech or Microsoft to help them make comfortable products.
Beautiful Keyboard - Improves Writing
I got the Apple Keyboard to replace the original keyboard from my 2002 iMac. Those keys had yellowed to an embarrassing degree and more eyelashes, bugs, and crumbs than I'd care to admit had fallen through the keys and littered the transparent underside. I wanted a new keyboard so that I could use the iMac as a new-school typewriter to aid my fiction writing. With an internet connection, I'm prone to distractions, but the iMac removes that problem and the whole set up, including the new keyboard, allows me to write better.
Even though I haven't updated the iMac's OS since 2006 (10.4.7), the keyboard works wonderfully. I love its slim design and the spaces between each key (like my 2006 MacBook). It looks great with a computer nearly 8 years its senior and is a joy to use. It's also much easier to clean and will stay looking suave for years to come.
I recommend it with no regrets.
Good Keyboard, No stand alone Windows driver
I purchased this keyboard but had to return it. Typed paragraphs on it at store, and has a wonderful feel, so purchased it for my work computer. But, Apple has not released a stand alone windows driver for this keyboard, forcing you instead to install the virtual machine drivers (keyboard is one of them). For this reason it was returned. It also lacks a "break" key that most people rarely use but as a programmer I needed. They are apparently mapped to other key combination's in the driver. Not ideal, but would have lived with it.
Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging)
The Apple Wireless Keyboard has been completely redesigned, inside and out. It features an elegant, ultra-thin anodized aluminum enclosure with low-profile keys that provide crisp, responsive feel. It also has function keys for one-touch access to a variety of Mac features such as screen brightness, volume, eject, play/pause, fast-forward and rewind, Expose, and Dashboard. Its compact design fits on your lap or on even the most crowded desk. And its Bluetooth wireless technology lets you use it just about anywhere within 30 feet of your Mac.The keyboard automatically powers down when you're not using it and turns on instantly as soon as you start typing. This intelligent power management means you'll get up to nine months of battery life based on average usage patterns. It also has an on/off switch for when you're away from your computer for a long time.

great design!
Love it! Compact, efficient use of space, Aluminum body rather than cheap plastic. This is a quality item.
No number pad but worth the sacrifice if you are only doing numbers occasionally.
Not sure it would play nice with Windows 7.
Comfort: Well, I have to say if anything this keyboard is much smaller than I first believed it to be. I should have read the dimensions on it, o wait, it doesn't list [...] maybe:). With that said it is not the most comfortable keyboard in the market. Honestly the raised design of the keys cause you to bend your wrist top side but may be fixed by your body position in contras to the keys. Key separation is to me fair, key size shares the same fait, key feel however is quite in the solid side. Do negatives cause me to rate it any lower? off course not. The market audience its directed to is well placed. lets face it people, this keyboard is mostly bought for its looks, size, and wireless freedom. Comfort secondary.
Style: If their ever was an award for style within the keyboard market, an apple keyboard would naturally share in such awards glory. Feel and look of the aluminum Body provide the buyer with the felling his money was well spent on a top notch product(price still somewhat high_you get what you pay for-most of the time). Makes me wonder if with such build it can withstand some hard falls_not willing to try at $70 but anybody want to go for it, let me know if you cry:). Bottom of keyboard shares a signature Wight plastic plate with the apple logo. Over all length of key mechanics are extremely thin as you can see from the pics and end at the top with a nicely added round cylinder incasing most of the internals. Both ends of this cylinder share a function_one side unscrews to replace two AA batteries and the other side integrates the power butn.
Func(with windows 7): So I really never even used most of the windows espf keys on my old USB keyboard, this said I felt right at home. Use for normal mesg is as much keyboard as I need. Install on my windows 7 took some thought and about 30 mins. The keyboard would at first install using the "Add a Bluetooth device" option within control panel but first time around it vanish't form the device list shortly after the install. Second go at it had a solid connection with no disconnects but after disconnecting my USB keyboard and rebooting I got a "keyboard Error, press F1 to continue". Had to reconnect USB keyboard to pass this screen_I noticed however after the Error screen was passed and I was at the log in screen, the keyboard worked. I googled a bit with no avail. Finally on a hunch went to BIOS settings. Their I found a option that allowed me to disable Keyboard Errors. I Disabled the option and now can restart my pc without having to reconnect the USB keyboard:). Their is a small time before the Bluetooth devices start to work but unless I have a problem that requires me to use the BIOS, it is not a big deal.
Bottom line: If your looking for a stylish, compact, and solid feeling keyboard_you already made up your mind. Feel comfort is priority number one=this is not your cup of tea. Need elaboration on how I got it to work? experiencing same problem? feel free to ask me and thanks for your time reading my mind:)
Excellent.
Excellent keyboard, flawless bluetooth connectivity and long rage, beautiful design, excellent comfort, long battery life and simply the best keyboard ever made. Apple has another hit on their hands, all we need now is a wireless Apple keyboard with a numeric pad.
Beautiful, Functional, and Portable
I am very pleased with my purchase of the Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging). I am running Windows 7 Starter on a netbook, and after some initial fiddling around, have had no problem at all using the keyboard. Pictures don't do the minimalist design of it justice. Also, for those of you who are sick and tired of the ubiquitous, glaring blue LED lights on everything these days, Apple has a tiny green one that only comes on briefly when you press the power button.
My only complaints are truly minor ones:
-Apple ought to have included both a delete and backspace key,
-I think the function and control keys on the bottom left ought to be reversed,
-and (perhaps because I am not using a Mac) I do not see the purpose of these massive Command keys on either side of the space bar--I prefer to have the Alt keys there.
Beware - product is sentient and has a secret mouth & razor-sharp teeth
I bought a MacBook at the beginning of the year, and my old keyboard just made me look like a dork hooked to my new hip MacBook. I bought this because I wanted women to notice me & men to respect me, and it's certainly capable of doing that. After a few weeks, however, I started noticing a small amount of pain in my fingers as I typed. Upon further investigation, I found out that the Apple Wireless Keyboard was biting me with its secret mouth & teeth. I sent it to a friend of mine for free because I can't afford to bleed all over the oriental rug that I use for a blanket.

Keyboard for laptop
I wanted a simple, well constructed keyboard to use with my new laptop with windows 7. I needed only the standard keys and it had to be small to fit in a pullout that I installed. It totally met my needs.
Great Buy!
This keyboard is a fantastic keyboard for the price! I was very please with the keyboard and its overall value, and I highly recommend it. It has great hotkeys and works right away! A++
Good product for the money
Logitech makes some of the best keyboards and this one is no exception. I wanted a cheap and study key board - nothing really Jazzy.
the construction quality is very good and the key feedback is comfortable. Just be aware that the key board is fairly small (It's actually a little bigger than my 16" HP laptop key board. I also don't like the small spacebar becuase they added two windows keys (one on each side). I had to get used to pushing the spacebar from the middle than the right side as I normally do.
It does have shorcut keys but I don't use them.
Good basic Keyboard
This was exactly what I had in mind. It is easy to use, inexpensive and good quality. I had purchased one for slightly less and found the quality to be lacking, the lettering was done with stickers that would have worn off. This is a good basic keyboard and was highly rated on one of the search site I looked it. I'm very pleased.
simple keyboard, no problems
what can i say, it's a simple, tiny keyboard... it does its job, every key works... that's about it. if you're not slamming it around and pouring soda on it, you'll be fine!

Bizarre Errors
I like to consider myself fairly skilled with computers, but two months after getting this keyboard it started to do very bizarre things, and I could not for the life of me figure out a rational reason why they were occurring. I thought the whole situation was just insane - until I read some of these 1 and 2 star reviews, and realized what a piece of crap it is. Let me tell you what my keyboard does:
*If I press the down arrow at any given time, the start menu comes up. This is rather inconvenient when trying to scroll through a folder, a word document, or play older video games
*If I press the End button, it makes a '('. Yes, it makes an open parenthesis whenever I press end(
*If I try to make a capital J, it will paste whatever is in my clipboard. So if I have a link that I have copied, like say www.amazon.com, pressing shift+j yields Jwww.amazon.com. It just now did as I tried to make that capital j.
No, my computer is not virused, I'm not dumb enough to install random .exe files or visit troll sites on the internet, but just to make sure I scanned my computer with 2 virus scanners + SpyBotS&D; nothing came up. Besides, what kind of virus would do these random things instead of act as a keylogger and steal my credit card info? I also tried downloading the keyboard's software (never thought I would need to download software for a standard keyboard...) and resetting all the programmable keys to defaults, not like that would probably solve the problem, and of course the errors still occur. It's just a terrible keyboard, probably has some faulty wiring or god knows what. I really can't imagine what sort of catastrophic design failure would lead to all these strange events.
This Keybaord Don't work for me
All the other reviews prasied how great this keyboard was.. It was useless and unusable for me.. Waste of my money and will stick with normal designed keyboards from now on..
User Friendly
Far, far better than the keyboard of the laptop its connected to. I can hold my arms and wrists at a more natural angle with less fatigue and typos. For around $20, this was a good deal. The calculator button to access the onscreen calculator is very convenient.
I wish I had this unit years ago.
LOVE this keyboard!
This is the only keyboard I hope to EVER use again. I am a medical transcriptionist, and keyboards are ULTRA-important in my paycheck as I'm paid on production. Since I started using this one, I have had about a 70% reduction in repetitive stress injuries (tendonitis). The semi-ergonomic design and low profile keys are perfect for reducing stressful motion. Love the little calculator button too. I do have to tilt it up in the front using a gel wrist rest to make it more ergonomically correct (preventing carpal tunnel compression) because like most all keyboards, it has the propping feet in the back instead of the front. It is a little rattly on the space bar, but no biggie. I came back to buy 3 more because I do NOT want these to go out of production with me having no backups!
Great replacement keyboard - GREAT price!!
Besides the ergonomic setup of the keys, I'm in awe of its quietness! My original intent for this purchase was to use it with my work laptop when working from home, but after the first time my fingers hit the keyboard, I changed my mind and swapped out my klackety-klack Dell L100 for this one to become my main keyboard on my home desktop. The set-up was, well, there wasn't any! By the time I came up from under the desk, I saw that my "device was installed successfully" (running Vista Home Premium) and I was on my way. My decision was based on price (not the least expensive and definitely not the most) and the relatively good feedback from others. Yes, I haven't put it through its paces yet, so I can't tell you about broken keys or other issues, so far, so good. The nice-to-have shortcut buttons actually open my preferred browser (Firefox) and email client (Thunderbird). I wondered if Microsoft is going to force IE and Outlook on me if I press these buttons - not so! There is a calculator button placed at the top of the number pad that fires the Windows Calculator - nice! The Back and Forward buttons do just that - at least while browsing. A few of the other keys are labeled with their native Windows shortcut, example: "X" is Cut etc. It's really comfortable too as I removed the wrist gel pad I was using with my other keyboard. I thought about a lesser priced keyboard, but am very glad to have gone with this one. Yay!

Let there be light! (And don't forget the function keys next time.)
This illuminated keyboard is just what I needed for my den desk with a slideout keyboard drawer. With my keyboard and hands almost always completely under the desktop, I often had trouble seeing the keys on a standard, non-illuminated keyboard when I'd have to look down in order get my hands oriented correctly. I've lived with this issue for 10 years using this desk, sometimes using a headlamp to help out my eyes.
When I discovered the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard just a few weeks ago, buying one was a no-brainer. I was a little concerned about some of the reviews (which I read after I ordered it). In particular the key blocking review made it sound like this keyboard is essentially unusable for fast typists. The first thing I tried when the keyboard was installed and ready to go was to get it to block keystrokes. I've typed as fast I can possibly type using problem words like can't, don't, mine, etc.) over and over and I haven't once experienced key blocking. If it was ever a widespread issue, it may not be one any longer.
The fact that the keyboard was so flat also had me wondering about comfort and usability. The good news is that the keys feel great and I actually prefer them to my previous standard Dell keyboard. The keyboard also has two feet on the underside that can be used to tilt the keyboard up a little. Overall it's a very comfortable configuration.
Here are a few things I like about the keyboard:
1. Illumination. There are three levels of illumination, and illumination can be turned off. It's important to note how great it is to be able to see your keyboard in the dark. I'm a good typist but I still need to look down once in a while to see what's going on down there. And like I said, I'm really not in the dark. There's always a lamp on my desk and a floor lamp nearby, and sometimes there's daylight. It's just that my keyboard and hands are always in the dark under the desktop.
2. The delete key is oversized, taking up as much space as the delete key and insert key on all my standard keyboards. This is nice because the insert key is moved up to the top row just to the right of the F12 key. We've all inadvertantly hit that insert key when we didn't want to. Now, it's not going to happen nearly as much.
3. Caps lock status is displayed on-screen when you press the caps lock button. It's nice to know immediately if you've hit the caps lock inadvertantly instead of the shift or tab keys.
Here's one thing that could be improved:
1. The numbers on the function keys should be illuminated. The keys are illuminated, but not the numbers. Instead, symbols on the function keys like "home", "mail", "search" are illuminated. Of course, you may one day remember that the "music" symbol corresponds to the F9 key, but it might take a while for that to sink in. If the function key numbers were illuminated, this keyboard would get five stars from me.
well-lit keyboard
I like to use my computer at night. I don't like to turn on lights because they waste electricity and make it harder to see the monitor. But hitting wrong keys in the dark drives me crazy. For my purposes the Logitech illuminated keyboard was exactly what I needed.
First off, if you like the feel of the keys on a laptop computer then you will like this keyboard. The keys feel well-constructed, and they respond perfectly. It is very silent.
The keyboard connects with USB. You will need to have a free port on your computer or a powered hub for it to work. It does work with Windows 7, even 64 bit, so compatibility is not an issue for the latest Windows operating system. Windows 7 will recognize the keyboard without any additional software, but the software included with the keyboard allows you to program its keys. The disc provided would have worked, but I downloaded a newer version from the Logitech web site. Logitech's web site can detect your operating system and connected keyboard and direct you to the latest software download for your system. Very cool.
The keyboard layout is essentially the same as a regular laptop keyboard with a separate number pad. There are a few minor changes. The delete key is huge, and the insert key is moved to the top row next to the function keys where one is unlikely to accidentally hit it. The included software enables you to program the function keys to do specific things like open your email client, go on the web, etc. You can also disable keys that you don't often use and don't want to accidentally hit (e.g. number lock, insert, etc.).
The lighting of this keyboard is very good. In the dark it makes the symbols on the keys look huge. As others have mentioned, the function key numbers are not lit (only the programmable symbols above them are lit). I suspect Logitech did this thinking most people would be more apt to use the programmable functions rather than the Fkey functions, and the symbols enable you to see which programmed function you are selecting. Since some of these keys are designed to open an email client or play music it makes sense. So those who plan to make use of the keyboard programming will like the way they are lit while those who want to see which Fkey they are using will not. Logitech could have made everyone happy by illuminating all of the print on the key, but for some reason they chose not to do so. Personally, I am very happy with the lighting.
The price for this keyboard is steep. At $80 I would expect it to be wireless, but it's not. A local retailer (sorry Amazon) had it on sale for $60 so I splurged, and I am very happy I did.
If you are looking for a well-lighted keyboard, you like typing on laptop keyboards, and you don't care about lighted Fkeys, you will be very happy with the Logitech illuminated keyboard. For me, it's perfect.
Joy of typing
This is the best keyboard I've used. The best about it is the actual typing experience. The keys respond to your strokes so perfectly that you won't ever experience tired fingers again. The keyboard really forces you to type softly. I'd buy one more for my second computer.
Poor design decision regarding the function keys
I have no problem with this keyboard at all except that the F keys are not illuminated by their number. Instead we are treated to these goofy orange symbols that have no meaning to me whatsoever.
At night when the rest of the keyboard is lit up as you would expect, the function keys are illuminated with little orange icons. Instead of F1 we have a little house, F2 is a cute envelope, F9 is a music note, F4 looks like a person, f8 is a triangle, etc.
I need these function keys to be labeled properly. These icons don't mean a thing to me. I don't care what they mean, and I don't want to bother learning what they mean.
In the daylight it doesn't matter because the function keys are painted with their proper ID. But at night the icons light up and the F1, F2 labelings are left in the dark.
What Logitech should have done, if they really wanted to include these icons, was to leave them in the dark and make sure to light up the numbers. The whole function key labeling design is handled just the opposite!
So, that is my pet peeve. Other than that I love this keyboard. It is a strong, sleek, attractive looking board that lights up well in the dark.
Logitech Illuminated - Amazon sold me the nest keyboard I've ever used
This keyboard speaks "quality: It is solidly constructed; it's easy to use with its easy keystrokes; it's quiet; and for those working late at night the illumination is consistent. There are no garish colors rising up out of the keyboard, just a modest (but good) illumination of each key's letter or number, from underneath. The keys are lit, not the room.
As perfect as this keyboard is, if you are looking for media features or "zoom" you will have to go elsewhere. If you just want the best keyboard ever - but without features - seriously consider this one. Btw, if you are used to using an Ergo or Wave keyboard, this one is flat. I found that to be no problem although it did take a couple of weeks for me to get comfortable with it.
I am always very satisfied with Amazon. Their site is easy to use, purchased products arrive quickly and very well packed. If within 2 weeks or a month, depending on the item purchased you determine it's defective or otherwise uncomfortable, it's easy to reach Amazon via their website and get a shipping return label. Amazon will handle all return shipping charges if the product is defective, and/or if you simply want a replacement.

4000 Ergo
Got this keyboard a few weeks ago. It performs well. I had to use it for a while to get use to the design but even with the old hunt and peck method it serves me very well. I have easily grown accustomed to it. The only draw back is the on board sound control which seems very sluggish to show the volume adjustment bar. It seems to load that op very slowly. Even with the latest Windows 7 drivers. I had the same issue with other boards as well. Overall a very good buy and I am well pleased.
Its ok
It only last like9 or 10 months, then you have to get a new one. Now my enter key is out. Last time it was my N key the time before that was the E key.
HAPPY, HAPPY
A great product. It was delivered, well-packaged, much faster than I'd expected. Using the keyboard is more comfortable, physically, than a standard, straight board, and I type much faster because of the bend. Couldn't be better.
JUNK
This keyboard was advertised as wireless. It is not. Although the ergonomics of this keyboard make it very comfortable to use, the space bar sticks which makes typing a pain in the butt! I probably would have kept this keyboard were it not for the sticky space bar. I type too fast to have to deal with that problem.
ONE windows FLAG key VEXES me: lacks right side FLAG key
LACKS TWO winFLAG keys!!
Almost zero click feedback from keys.
I have no space bar complaints as I use my thumbs to hit it.
Occasionally I will hit the 'new' equals sign instead of NumLock (there is a separated row of four buttons atop the number keypad)
Rarely will I use the keyboard's back button (think mouse) as it is more conveniently reached that the forward key [for me] -- even with "big" hands.
Without drivers, the only way I use keyboards- and mice, all the grey feature keys function as expected except those numbered one through five and the star key below that group.
At Win XP Pro EOL I shall NOT be "upgrading" to Win7 so I can only hope OSX will inherit the functionality.
I AM VEXED that there is no right-side Windows Flag Key. Sure I could have used S-Spline graphics software to enhance the relatively tine fully sized image, but I expect a full sized, especially natural keyboard, to sport TWO Windows Flag keys. WinFlag+L is a common right handed only stroke.
If there were an easy, as in ZERO bloatware, solution to reassign the USELESS AFAIK context menu button that sits where the WinFlag key was on my last keyboard I will be happy.
It does not amuse me to install bloatware to be able to use the scroll wheel in windows [on the Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 I bought in combination with this Microsoft Natural Ergo Keyboard 4000]. The microsoft native driver does not offer this feature. HOWEVER the native drivers picked for my Razer DiamondBack InfraRed Laser mouse has ALL buttons working out-of-the-box in XP.
I realize the Razer DiamondBack is ORDERS of magnitude superior to this mouse -- this mouse is not a replacement for any Razer mouse, but native windows support for the Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 is SEVERELY LACKING.
I highly recommend the Razer DiamondBack InfraRed Laser mouse
I do not recommend the Microsoft Natural Ergo Keyboard 4000 if you rely on a right side Windows FLAG key like I do. If that is not an issue, and you require neither key tap resistance, nor key tap click feedback then you will be happy with this natural keyboard -- the additional 'curve' of the keys offered no challenge to me already familiar with microsoft natural keyboards, I appreciate the 'front loaded' height of the keyboard, but the padding leaves much to be desired. One can feel pad flex with considerable applied pressure but if you're looking for a cushy wrist- or palm rest please consider buying an additional pad. As I was not comfortable also raising the keyboard from the bottom/back stands look elsewhere for a review on that.
The LEDs on the keyboard for CAPS, NumLock, Scroll Lock, and Function lock are not trillion lux very much unlike the mere scroll wheel on my Razer mouse. A thin strip of electrical tape can easily be applied if the are too bothersome as there is only one sloped surface with which to contend.
The keyboard was "built with windows 7 (aka vista) in mind". When the next windows is NOT built with hollywood fascism in mind I might consider it if I have not already abandoned microsoft for apple -- the latter will easily run XP in VM.
I have no problems switch hitting between a microsoft natural keyboard and a straight key layout keyboard. I eventually plan to add DVORAK layout keys to this keyboard.
* If you are aware of a LIGHT weight utility to change the context key to a win FLAG key please leave me a comment. I prefer my utilities not store anything in registry and keep all its associated files in the same of sub-directory of the executable itself. I'm neither and itard nor an overclocker so a shiny interface is not necessary; functionality for low system impact wins the day.

Whenever possible I buy from listings with "shipped by amazon" to Effect customer *service*. The two jacksons and two washingtons I spent was worth it to me. Stores with perverse shipping rates- or terms are more often than not disinterested in your happiness pre-sales or after receipt of item. Kudos to amazon for assuring customer satisfaction.

Standard office workhorse
Standard office workhorse. If you can live without fancy extras and do not faint from the sight of the connecting wires this is a good choice for you. Functional buttons on top row work fine with win vista and are really comfortable.
Excellent Microsoft product!
I got this for my 94 year old dad, as he was having trouble with his original keyboard that was 10 years old. He hooked this up easily without a problem, and though he had trouble at first with the key strike setting....once that was set properly, the keyboard works like a charm. Great product, easy to set up, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! And, btw, SUPER QUICK shipping to an alternate address, with no problems!
Cheap; the little legs break easily
Pros: Good typing feel. Nice pre-programmed buttons for volume, calculator, and MyComputer.
Cons: Cheap build: the little legs in the back for tilting the keyboard break off right away. The home, end, insert, etc. keys are awkwardly placed.
Definitely not worth more than about $10! But if you don't tilt your keyboard, you might not think it's bad at all.
EXCELLENT KEYBOARD!
Very good service and the keyboard is an excellent choice if you want an inexpensive one!!
Thank you
Very professional business. The first item sent out is not that good, but after efficient communication, the seller delivered a good one. Pretty satisfied!!

Great Little Keyboard
I just wish they made one that was illuminated, then this would be perfect. Works perfectly.
As good as budget keyboards come
For its price range, this really is an exceptional keyboard. It's quiet, surprisingly light and perfectly responsive, even when connected through a USB 1.x port. Because its profile and tilt legs are very small, this is best suited to rest on the user's lap; if you're typing from a desk, it may feel a bit too awkward. Also, the Home, End, Insert, Delete, Page Up and Page Down keys have been vertically reordered to save space, so you'll probably need a few days to become accustomed to this layout. The five-foot connection cord is long enough to facilitate most desk and seating arrangements.
Very nice, but it's not for everyone.
I have a disability and love this keyboard
I have such poor physical coordination I can't even hold a pencil. This keyboard was easy to use right from the beginning. Along with a good word-prediction program this is the best keyboard I've ever owned, and I have been computing since 1993 with a progressive disability.
If you have poor vision be aware the letters are pretty small. But with this keyboard just buy a set of large-letter key overlay stickers, It's worth the price! Way to go Logitech, the Classic 200 USB is a winner!

Gets the job done.
This is a simple keyboard at a great price. When you want a no nonesense keyboard, this one is it.
Reliable basic keyboard from Logitech.
I got this keyboard because I needed a very inexpensive input device for my laptop after its internal keyboard died. I got it primarily because 1) I trust the Logitech brand name, and 2) it had a USB connection, as most modern laptops do not have PS/2 connections. I have to say, this laptop is very basic, but performs like a star. It does not come with any bells and/or whistles. It is a straight-up classic keyboard, but it is incredibly reliable. It doesn't need any drivers; you just plug it in and you are ready to go! It is up and running perfectly once your PC finishes installing the required drivers built-in to Windows. Since it doesn't have any additional features, it will not conflict with anything.
It does have some nice touches that make it a better buy than other standard keyboards. For instance, it is still spill-resistant, so if you manage to drop liquids on it, you can clean them off easily. The keys on it have a standard profile, and are pretty bouncy. I tend to prefer flatter profile keys, but they were easy to get used to and did not give me any problems.
This keyboard has performed without any exception since I got it. I am very pleased with it. For a bare bones keyboard, Logitech delivers solid performance yet again.

Awesome battery life; great look; annoying blue light.
This keyboard was exactly what i expected. However i had been flirting with it for some time at my local best buy. Has a great flat feel to it, super thin and i really cant stress the flat feel. However the keyboard clicks more then i thought it would, i was expecting a smoother sound when i started to use it day to day. Also you have to be very careful. As the smallest crumb in your keyboard can cause a key to not press down enough to register. I thought my keyboard was broken, till i realized my girlfriend at toast in front of the keyboard, a can of air, and tapping on the back of the keyboard, and it was good as new.
The only really really really really annoying part i can see for this keyboard is the USB receiver has a blue light on it. so EVERY TIME a key is pressed, the blue light will come on.
The keyboard has a excellent response time from keypress to key input. I game quite a bit already with this keyboard, and it is amazing.
They keyboard also has some what of a over grown remote feel in your hands, it is full size. However it is so thin, that when you take the keyboard away from the PC, it feels like your crazy massive remote.
The keyboard does not have lights on the keyboard for caps lock, numb lock etc... and the included software does not have any sort of PC heads up for this function either. As a matter of fact, the software is simply just a battery monitor. I have emailed HP already about this and requested a feature addition to the next version of software for such functionality. However there are plenty of third party peaces of software out there to facilitate this sort of notification.
The best recommendation i think i can give to this keyboard. My roomie used it for just a few mins (he has a mac laptop.) and right after he also ordered one for himself.
Over all a great keyboard, awesome battery life, only draw back i can see is the lack of notification of lock keys and a blue light of doom on the USB receiver that can be easily covered with 1.5 inches of black tape.
Great feel, not so reliable
Cons first. I'm currently using my second Wireless Elite keyboard. The first one died in a coffee spill. I've spilled a lot of coffee on a lot of keyboards, and this was the only one that couldn't take it, even though it wasn't an especially bad spill, even though I turned over the keyboard and dried it off immediately. It's supposedly spill resistant, but there are little holes in the bottom, under the feet, into which whatever spilled on your desk will seep when you flip over the keyboard to spare the keys. So don't flip up the feet to dry under them!
Also, the letters wear off. This seems to be a typical HP problem for the past few years, but it's worse than ever in this case. The labels began to wear off the keys within weeks. If you don't touch type, this could be a problem for you.
Sometimes the keyboard won't respond, particularly when using resource-hogging applications, despite the fact that I still have loads of RAM available. Sometimes it just forgets it is paired with the dongle, but crawling under my desk and re-seating the dongle fixes that. And sometimes it just can't keep up with how quickly I type and it drops letters (I type over 100 wpm, so this may not be a problem for everyone).
BUT! All that and yet I love this keyboard. It's flimsy, it has a silly program that shows in the Systray if your caps or number pad are locked, and it sometimes seems to run two copies of itself (which clears up on reboot), and I paid way too much (prices are coming down fast but I sure got reamed when I bought mine). Yet I LOVE this keyboard because it's so low profile and the keys travel so little and are so responsive that I can type for hours and hours each day, everyday, nonstop, without my hands hurting. That's worth just about anything to me, and that's why I put up with all the rest and smile and think about getting a spare in case I should, I dunno, think watery thoughts of rain or rivers and kill this fragile thing with the power of my mind.
If you type a whole lot and your hands don't love you for it, this keyboard might well be the one for you.
Great keyboard
I love this keyboard, even though I no longer use it on my main system. Great feel, same as a high quality laptop. I've since started using a Logitech Dinovo because of the touchpad, but would gladly use the HP Elite again.
bargain for a great basic wireless keyboard
Just got this, it feels quality, is very thin, good key action and nothing bad to say about it, including the price. Plug and play on our HP laptop, no install disc needed.
Nice keyboard, does what it suppose to do.
Nicely designed slick keyboard, very quiet and low profiled. Saves a lot of space on your desk. Takes some time to get used to if you used regular keboard with high buttons. No lags or key errors. Receiver flashes with bright blue light every time you press the key and could be really annoying if it is in front of your eyes, but I could care less as it tucked in under my table in the back of PC unit so I don't see it.
The only big gripe I have with this keyboard is that id does not have LED indicators or alike for Num, Caps and Scroll Locks - usual thing on every other keyboard.
Another thing that annoys is the Function key between Ctrl and Windows keys that gets in the way pretty often.
Other than that it is a nice modern addition to your setup espesially for this price.

I am happy
I have been using this now for a month or so and it is working great. Worked well right out of the box with Vista and it does everything I wanted... which was to be a keyboard! :)
I have not had any problems at all.
It is constructed well and none of the buttons seem to be in strange or "unusual" places. Everything is where my fingers think they should be. I am pleased!
Nice keyboard
I wanted a nice, simple keyboard without all the
extra controls for volume etc.
This one is pretty nice. The keys have a pretty good
feel to them, and there are no problems at all when
you press down on the very edge of the "wide" keys
like the space bar or the Shift keys.
The thing that's kind of weird about it, is that you'll
swear that the keys seem "close together". I took a
piece of paper and put it over a regular keyboard,
and marked several of the key tops, and took it over to this
one and compared them, and they are exactly the same.
It's kind of picky, but the marking for the forward slash
key looks more vertical, should be tilted some more,
other than that, it's pretty good.
Some people commented on how certain key tops aren't indented,
but they all seem fine, doubt you'll notice it.
Great All Around Keyboard!
I needed a low-cost, full sized, USB keyboard for my PC because my old one died. I've had many Logitech products in the past and I've been pleased with their quality. This keyboard is no exception.
The keys are all the the right places (on some compact keyboards, the keys are in strange places), the touch of the keys is crisp and responsive, and this keyboard works perfectly. It's been in daily use for over a month now and I haven't had any problems with it.
Being a USB keyboard, it plugged into my Windows 7 PC and was detected immediately. No additional drivers were required.
A great keyboard for the price, I highly recommend.
Not all the keys worked
Received this keyboard and plugged it in. Found that some of the keys didn't work, mostly the ones surrounding the letter "L". Expected better from Logitech, since I'm happy with their other products.
Good keyboard
This is a simple keyboard not complicated very easy to use just plug it in to your computer and you are ready to go. I like the way the keys are set up they don't stick at all you don't have to press very hard to type light touch works really well. And the price is great if you are looking for a no nonsense keyboard for your computer and don't want to spend a whole lot of money on one then this is the one for you it's made by Logitech and it's at a great price check it out you won't be sorry.
