Victorinox SwissMemory 128 MB USB Storage Device
Not only did the Swiss Memory storage device arrive quickly, it was just what I needed. I had purchased one for my husband two years ago and decided to treat myself to one as well. Besides the tools included, the USB flash drive is being utilized completely.

Very handy
I've had this little guy for over a year now and I love it. I love having these useful items handy at all times. The drive detaches so if you need that part on the plane you can just stick it in your pocket. The only thing I would do different is get a larger drive but the 128MB is good for most things.

Incredibly tough
I went swimming this morning and forgot to take this knife out of my pocket. I swam for a good 30 minutes with the knife completely submerged in salt water. I assumed it was ruined.

I can't believe it, but after drying out for a few hours--not only does the light still work, but so does the usb memory--I didn't lose anything on there.

Incredible, incredible, incredible. Victorinox has made a believer out of me.

Traveling with this device
A couple of the reviewers mentioned that you cannot carry-on this item with you on planes, and yes, this is true of any "knife" post 9/11. However, you can put this device (and any other pocket knife for that matter) into CHECKED luggage. I've taken this item with me inside my checked luggage through many airports without problem.

Takes a lickin'
OK so it is more expensive than other drives and will get you in trouble if you try to fly with it.
I dropped my drive in the street outside my home and did not find it until a week later (in New England, in February). It had obviously been run over a few times, as the red plastic cover had broken off, and the rain had taken its toll on the metal shell, which was a little rusty.
But it worked! I got my data back!

Good SD card
I'm using this SDHC card in my Lorex LW2702 Wireless Surveillance System (bought here in Amazon site)and its working fine. The video recorded in this card was played nice,smooth and no jitter. The write speed is enough for this application.

Great card, great price!
I've used it on several photo gigs, and tons of personal shooting. No problems - reads fast, holds a ton of shots.

don't waste your money
I tried it on two different cameras and one computer. It could not be formatted. I always though HP meant quality but I guess not.

Great Value-Works Well
Bought this for my new digital camera before going to Disney World. Took over 1,200 pictures on the highest quality setting and still had plenty of space left over. Great value - highly recommend.

Doesnt work
I received this card in a package when I order a Zi8 HD camcorder from Bestbuy. The card is not recognized nor can it be formatted by my computer (Windows 7) or my Zi8.

Not a virus
These mix'd tapes are great for gifts or as your own traveling music companion.

Regardless of what other people have said, there are no viruses on these USB drives. The autorun file is merely I background program that triggers some anti-virus programs.

Fun Stuff, but watch out.

I got this as a gift. It's a cute fun little way to make a mix tape.

Be careful though as straight out of the package the autorun.inf that comes on the drive tries to install a trojan.

It's a very old virus and any virus scanner updated in the last year will find it and zap it.

You don't need the autorun.inf on any current Windows or Mac products, so just format the drive, or delete the file.

This book is a GEM
Because rarely anywhere else you will learn memory systems in such details as they are described in this book. I purchased this book out of pure curiosity to learn memory systems as I have not had much exposure to their either theoretical or practical sides. I started reading the Disk part first, and I couldn't put the book away. The author teaches the structure of disk starting from the physics of ferromagnetism to today's modern applications and trend issues, and advanced topics. I especially loved the Physical and Data layers, Cache layers and SAN applications. I liked the way author organized disk layers separately in each chapter which makes each layer distinct from each other, building up the hierarchy all the way up to the applications. Many illustrations and diagrams help grasp the concepts in general. Each piece, whether it's a read/write head or an spindle motor, that makes up today's modern HDD, is described in this book, how it works, how it was developed over the years and what are being used today. Caches are covered in detail with stressing on overall performance and cost, power dissipation issues and speed, different algorithms to manage cache data and its organization, and many many other interesting concepts related to caches and DRAMs. This is probably one of the most valuable books in my library, and many thanks to the author for making such an incredible job! Any computer scientist or engineer MUST read this book, whether to learn and understand what role memory systems play in today's technologies, or simply to stay updated on the ongoing issues and research in this area. The only little thing I wish author included in this book is about SSD drives as those are being progressively utilized in today's technologies and might have been worth a brief introductory chapter.

George Chiu
This book provides a much needed update from Dick Matick's book written in 1977. To be fair, I have read only the DRAM section. The book is well written. I did not give a 5-star rating because some of the figures were originally in color, and when it was printed as black-and-white ones, it is hard to decipher what corresponds to what. Hopefully, future editions can correct for that.

Overall Memory Coverage
This book is an excellent source that covers system, component and architectures of memory systems and how the total computer memory system is put together into a working system. The coverage of the material is up to date and addresses the critical issues that are facing the present and next generation memory systems being implemented and designed today. The book was well written and is a great source for engineering students and even to a degree non-engineering people. For me, a seasoned engineer, that is relatively new to memory systems, is has been a great source in helping me understand the overall system and how it all works. It also addresses some of the major engineering issues facing todays design that I am presently working on and covers the details of the components to give a good overall understanding of how it all fits together. An excellent overall source to have on hand for any engineer working on memory systems

The new standard for memory system reference books
Based on what I have read through so far, it is superb. I can see it very easily becoming the industry's new reference standard for memory system design. Very well done!

Take with a grain of salt - I'm one of the authors
Anyone who has built a computer or measured its performance recently knows that all but the slowest CPUs spend roughly 90% of their time twiddling their thumbs, checking their wristwatches, waiting on the memory system. The memory system today defines computer-system performance, yet very little is written about it (how does it work? what are the parameters? how to optimize it? etc.). So we wrote this book to address that -- it covers all facets of memory-systems design. Paraphrasing Richard Sites, one of the lead architects of the DEC Alpha processor over a decade ago, memory systems design is the only thing worth focusing on right now ... all else is a waste of time. Hopefully this will help you to build something that rocks; that was our goal.

Minor correction: the book is hardcover, not paperback.

excellent SD card
Excellent SD card. Never had any problems with it. Very fast too. Speed varies depending on what you are writing/reading, but class 6 definitely.

Fast for the money SD card.
I currently have three of these cards, two 16GB (class 6) and one class 4. My Canon SX20is currently has one of the class 6 units in it and it performs great. It powers up to ready very quickly, time between shots are quick and the HD videos record and play back without problems. They all speed test well within their ratings too. I found them both here on Amazon at great prices. The dealer that I got one from sent me a class four by mistatke and they made good on the sale very quickly. I was impressed. They explained the reason for the accident and it was perfectly understandable. Now I use that class 4 in a pocket camera recently gotton and keep the class 6's for my SX20.
So far, there have been no problems with any of these cards, no lost pics, etc and the videos play great right off of the card.
I've been using Verbatim products for years and have never had a problem with defects. They've always been a quality brand in my book so to speak.
16GB's is the way to go IMHO. It's affordable without going overboard and it holds a boatload of pictures without having to transferring them off very soon.

Very Satisfied/ Warning: Buying #96808 Can Be Tricky
Very responsive Seller and fast completion of sale and delivery.
I learned from other purchases on Amazon that only if the card has Verbatim #96808 expressly on the packaging will it work well in my Sony DSC-TX7. Authentic Verbatim cards
which appear to be this item but have a different number on the package did not work well.
I do not know why.

The Best Memory You Can Get
I've always been a big Vertbatim fan and this card doesn't let me down. It's at the fastest class and largest size - and was perfect for our video camcorder. Working with files and transferring them, I feel like I'm working on a hard drive. This is just a phenomenal deal on SD memory.

No good for Canon Vixia high quality recording!
I plopped this card in my Canon Vixia HF200, formatted it and tried to record.
The message I got was: " Cannot record movies in MXP/FXP mode on this memory card."

What that means is that I can record at 12Mbps as the highest recording quality.

That is not what I bought this camera for.

The card says it is class 6, which should be very good for this type of camera.

I am very disappointed.

EDIT:

I just called Canon, where a young lady gave me some serious attitude, (like the dumb customer who bought the wrong thing).
She told me there is more needed for recording than space and class, but also SPEED of recording. On the website of verbatim, I read this card writes at a maximum speed of 10Mbps.

So forget class, forget size, read HOW FAST it can record.
This card is not worth your money if you are going to record 24Mbps or 17Mbps.

I feel seriously taken!

This is one of the well-written books in the field of custom circuit design. Overall organization and all chapters are well written. Circuit design details are excellent. Some of the noise analysis and pitfalls of memory design are very good. Treatment on high-performance and low power memory design is superb. Great JOB.
