Very nice workdesk!
This desk looks great and has alot of desktop space. Just received it last night and it was very easy to install. Took me over 3 hours but I was doing it by myself and decided not to use an electric screwdriver to prevent overtightened screws or damages, yes call me cautious :P

Anyway, the thing that impressed me from beginning to end for the installation was the well packaged parts and especially very well-labeled parts leading to major ease of installation. The instruction manual is very well-detailed and points out exactly which part number and screw number to use at each step. Very idiot-proof in my opinion. All pieces arrived in great condition. The keyboard plank had a minor scratch on the rear surface but nothing to really upset me about. One screw did not have its head indented properly so I couldn't use the Phillips screwdriver but thank goodness a bag of spare screws was included for each of the approximate 8 screw types. This is a nice luxury I rarely see other manufacturers provide.

My only other gripes about this desk are that:

1) The corner surface's single straight leg support seems to fall a little short. Maybe it's my uneven floorboards but I had to untwist the leveling wheel to its maximum support distance.

2) The 4 front legs also tend to be a bit sharp. During shipment they are covered by a black plastic sheath/protector. I usually wear slippers at home but I plan to drill holes into the sheaths and re-insert them before screwing the circular feet back in so that I would not accidentally cut my toes or feet when moving about at the desk. They should have made the plastic sheaths gray with openings at the bottom to let use simply attach the table feet right into the legs.

All in all still an excellent product and willing to give it 5 stars.

Great desk at a great price
I actually purchased this desk directly from [...] (through Amazon.com) because it was about $20.00 cheaper. The desk is pretty solid and enough space for all of my computer peripherals and more. It took a little over an hour to assemble myself, but would have likely easier with an additional pair if hands.

I was worried that the bolts would be cheap aluminum, as I have experienced with other desks, but to my surprise everything was solid.

great computer desk for kids
This computer table was much better than I expected. Nice stainless steel hardware, easy to assemble and very sturdy. I was very pleased with the overall quality and value.

Ok if you have a netbook or small laptop
I bought this for my mother for Christmas and it doesn't support her laptop.
The tilting portion would only fit a smaller laptop or a notebook, not her standard sized laptop.

Disappointing.
I am very disappointed in this item. It is flimsy and my laptop slides off even though I added a grip pad. I did read the other reviews but I can only agree with the negative ones. A regular bed tray or lap pad would have worked much better. I advise you to read all the reviews carefully before buying this. The plastic is cheap and will break easily and the desk portion doesn't tilt at any suitable angle for using while sitting or in bed (and your laptop will slide off the side). A waste of money.

Very Handy
Love this, Keeps the heat off your lap and the mouse works great on the pad. We have two of them.

Disappointed
I brought this at Bed Bath & Beyond. I'm very disappointed, this made it a little better but it's not what I expected.$29.99 gone down the drain...:(

Easily cracks
Good things about the table:
1. 3 height positions if you count legs completely folded.
2. Adjustable tilt on the top.
3. Mouse pad /pencil drawer.

Bad things:
1. An edge piece cracked off taking it out of the box or intransit, not sure.
2. The book rest/laptop stop cracked the next day.
3. Mouse pad cover pulled loose from one edge the third day.

I am keeping it because I need desk now and it does work. It needs to be treated gently and I am taking more care. I would have thought that a book rest could take having a text book dropped on it however.

Bang for your buck!
First things first, and my only gripe at all about this product. I am pretty sure the advertised shipping weight of 38 pounds is off by quite a bit...the box was pretty heavy for me to get up the stairs and is as you would expect for a package with long pieces of heavy glass in it, quite awkward to carry for any distance. Bring a pal to help if you need to get it up a flight of stairs. I would suggest beer as an incentive program, it works quite well with my friends.

It put together in about 45 minutes with minimal effort and only required a small sized phillips head screwdriver for the keyboard tray in addition to the two provided "L" shaped wrenches.

The desk is the optimal size for my 24 inch monitor, and fits perfectly into the corner of my room that was otherwise mostly useless (the slanted roof does not leave many decorating options) Also, remember to do yourself a favor and do NOT position your desktop pc with the back fan close to the wall like the default pic has the small computer shelving unit underneath tells you to do. That is a great way to shorten your PC's shelf life by overheating it...there is ample space on the other side of the twin rods on the bottom of the long side to place the computer running parallel to those. If you have any questions about it, I'll be more than happy to send a pic of my setup.

In terms of use, it is extremely sturdy (my main fear from purchasing this item was that it appeared somewhat flimsy) and quite asthetically pleasing to boot! The aforementioned monitor is is the small portion of the "L" and so there is room to spare for another monitor or laptop AND a small sized printer. A must buy for those of you with a need to pack a lot of equipment into a relatively small area or people with that corner in their house they have meaning to do something with.

Great Desk
I love this desk , works perfectly for me. So far, I only have a laptop and it also fits the rest of my knick knacks. Sturdy, modern/sleek look, efficient, and perfect size.

Nice
Well packaged and easy to assemble. Room for everything except my printer (which is rather large) for which I have a separate stand. Actually went together in less than 30 minutes from first opening the box. Sturdy and functional. Good looking (although that is not the highest priority for me) and well built/sturdy.

A good sturdy unit for the money
Right out of the box, this desk was easy to put together... it is sturdy and the glass is secure via being bolted to the frame (as opposed to some costlier units that use only suction to secure the glass to the frame). The configuration is easy to change, and space is pretty fair... I do a lot of photography and graphics work, so on it I have an iMac, Apple display, and a Sony pc display (the pc tower is on the tower brace that comes with the desk) and I am still left with enough room to put my laptop on the desk, when I need to transfer files I produced while out in the field... or use a graphics tablet, when I need to. For the price, I haven't found anything else that beats this desk.

This Desk Is PERFECT for my needs!
I needed a keyboard and mouse shelf lower than the desk I used, due to arm and shoulder problems. But the space available was only 29 inches wide. This desk fits nicely with a little space left. Now I'm able to use my computer more, getting more work done, enjoying my friends on facebook more, it is all better with the right equipment. So glad I found this desk!

this stand works pretty good, in the winter i shut down my living room 2 save on heating bills, move into bedroom, which does not have alot of space, this wheels really good and does not take up 2 much space, the top does not have alot of room, but it works for me

Sturdy Aluminum, Versatile Furniture
I read every review. I measured. I knew it seemed to be what I had looked for for years. But it was so cheap in price I KNEW it just had to be junk right? WRONG! First, thank you to UFCPrincess and her review most of all. It was great warning for me (being disabled) as to what assembly may have in store for me.
I opened the box and looked at all the pieces. MY box came with NO assembly instructions at all. Just a DRAWING schematic that was not at all clear. NO step by step, just a floor full of "stuff". I looked at this mess for over an hour while deciding to play with my PS3 and let the wife do it when she got home. But gradually, I talked myself into assembly. I went back online here & printed an actual photo so the finished product was CLEAR. Only took me 20 minutes and I am an IDIOT on things mechanical.
I elected to not use the wheels as I want it lower and am not moving. NO idea how stable it is with them but without them it is rock solid. NO flex, NO shake, like an anvil. NO need to worry about this thing folks. I also have a 22 inch LCD wide screen monitor on top. I have a full size keyboard on the sliding tray and still have room for my mouse unlike some reviewers. Possibly my HP keyboards are smaller foot print> The mouse is a bit cramped but I just adjusted the SETTINGS in Windows to make the mouse more "sensitive" thus requiring less physical movement to do all I need to do.
I also have Altec Lansing surround speakers on my desktop & put the sub woofer on the bottom tray. I simply love this item and if you knew how many hundreds of dollars we have spent in the past 12 years trying to make things work to simply find this for almost free.....WHAT a great find. I swear, my entire house is built by Amazon.com

The design looked great, and the assembly instructions were easy to understand. Unfortunately, on the piece I received, the items were defective. If they hadn't been, I'm sure I would've loved this.

For less than a hundred dollars, I got a spacious desk with a platform for my monitor. The pull-out key board tray works well. The desk is made of steel, glass and fibre board. I didnt bother to install the third/top tier, and it looks good. Assembley was not difficult and took about an hour.

GREAT FOR SMALL SPACES. VERY STURDY
I got this desk to go into my new studio apartment. It is a great desk for small spaces. However, I do wish that it had more space for my printer or was just a little wider. STILL a great, sturdy, good looing unit.
