2nd Best Blade
Lenox Golds are my #1 choice, but I always keep these as a backup, when I'm cutting near concrete,metal, or any other material that dulls blades quick since these are cheaper. They are very good/sharp blades, but I prefer Lenox.

Awesome blades, but beware of older packaging!!
These blades are top notch and worth every penny. I'm being forced to return my 100-pack because Amazon sent me older packaging and it was NOT the easy dispenser one I ordered; the package received was similar to the 70-pack version. A prompt replacement is on its way; hopefully, that'll be what is pictured on the website or I'll return again and skip it. The container was even partially opened on one side, as if it had been around awhile.

Sharpest blade I have ever seen. Period.
Sharp, Strong, WOW. I needed some better quality blades for general purpose use. I saw these and thought I would try them. They are far better than anything else I have tried or used. Even better than the expensive individually wrapped razor blades.
They cut without effort. I just used one to slice some garden hose ends off for replacement, it cut through them without effort.
Don't waste any more of your time with cheaper blades, pay a few extra pennies a blade for these amazing blades.
It also takes a LOT of effort to damage or break off the tip on these blades. It's not impossible, but, you have to give it some serious effort, like scoring deep cuts into commercial VCT on many many tiles, can wear down or break a tip, but it's rare that your going to put that much pressure on one of these knife blades. I likely still change my blades more often than necessary, just to keep a really sharp blade in my knives, but I would say they do last quite a long time.

Best Knife Blades Ever!
Excellent - I use utility blades everyday on plastic, wood, glass, everything- these blades will even score metal- rips through 1/4" plastic with ease, although expensive- blades will outlast CRL or Stanley blades, even with heavy everyday useage!

Dont be fooled
Im a sucker for 'improvement' software. So when i ran accross this one i thought hey why not. What a disappointment. The interface is not as intuitive to what you expect from a typical windows program. I did not like it. I ended up unloading it hours later. If you want something new to play with and dont mind wasting money then go ahead and buy it. if you want something a little better then buy 'XP smoker' or 'Tuneup Utilities' both are much easier to use and has alot more features that you will use.

They should have kept it simple
I have used Fix-It for several years on my desktop XP machine, and have dutifully upgraded with each new release. This time I wish I had not.
I originally installed this software to clean-up the registry mess left behind by some products with very poor install/removal (can you say Norton?), and it performed admirably in that regard. That's why I bought it in the first place, and that's really all I've ever wanted it to do for me. Give me a product that does one thing, really well, and I'll stick with it; Fix-It did just that for me ... I emphasize "did."
Over the past few releases Avanquest has added more and more "features" to the software, which do not perform to the same high level, and which I do not want. Hey, what do I know though, right? Apparently in the eyes of Avanquest, I WILL get their security features, and I will like them!
Have been increasingly annoyed by this trend, but also able to work around it ... until now.
Let me start by pointing out their installation software LIES about not mucking with your current antivirus installation when you uncheck their box ... clearly they never intend/believe anyone would actually be so bold as to not use their POS security s/w, so they ignore the setting! Installing this s/w, with the boxes unchecked, still resulted in it trying to take control of my system's security ... it also broke my install of VIPRE (an excellent AV product I had already ... why would I want to use the lame Fix-It AV when I have VIPRE? I wouldn't!), and I had to uninstall VIPRE, then reinstall/license to restore its functionality.
Good job Avanquest! Great business strategy there, break the competition's install when your product is put on the system ... nice. Guess what A-holes, you just lost me as a future customer, for that alone!
Then even after tinkering to have it play nice with my AV, it still hogs resources to "monitor" my system security ... where the heck is the "disable" option? No, the least intrusive setting is "monitor," and it just gets worse from there. Finally, every time I log off my system now, I get a cryptic error from mxtask2.exe, which is a Fix-It background process ... probably the BS that's doing the "monitoring" of my system I don't even want.
It's a real shame, because the core utilities in this package ... the stuff I really want, and why I bought it in the first place ... are still excellent, but they just HAD to jump on the "do everything" bandwagon and lump their worthless security s/w in with the package.
This is not a quality AV package ... why does Avanquest force this down my throat? I do not want it, and already have much a better solution to those issues. All I want is the freakin' "utilities" not all the superfluous Mickey Mouse they will not let me bypass.
Oh well, I have had enough ... this was my very last Fix-It upgrade.
If you already have an older version installed, do NOT bother with this upgrade! You will regret it ...

This is a product that you should avoid!
I purchased this product because it said that it worked in a Windows 7 64 bit system. The product identified items on the computer to be fixed, but could not fix them. After running the fix, my computer slowed down to the point that some programs would take fifteen or twenty minutes to load. The program prevented me from restoring to a point prior to the install and did not show up in the list of programs to delete. It disabled the Task Manager, so I could not end the program's processes. Only by re-installing the program, was I able to get rid of it. After the program was removed from my computer, my computer began operating correctly again. The program was easy to install, but not so easy to uninstall.

I have to give the company credit for providing a fairly fast refund. Although you are warned that a refund might take 3 to 4 weeks, my Palpal account had the money within days.

I used Fix-It Utilities on two computers; fortunately only one of them crashed. One computer was running 32-bit Vista and the other 64-bit Windows 7; both computer had items identified to be fixed, but the software could not fix them. The problem was removing junk files, a simple routine. If you purchase the product, keep your receipts and remember that there is a limited time to request a refund.

The reviewers seem to be at opposite spectrum of this program. The program will either work very well for you or not. When it doesn't work well, it becomes a very large problem for you. I spent two days trying to disable the program. It could be done in safe mode, and when running in regular windows the computer came to a grinding halt. I would start up a program and then return to the computer hours later to see if the window had opened. I have to say, Fix-It gave me "special time" with my computer... I said a lot of harsh words to her. My poor baby!

How do you sell a product with the wrong id number but not have customer support staff 24/7 to help you with the problem. or working e-mail to get help it makes you remove other spy-ware to run the program then tells you your id number no good so you have to reload everything you deleted all over again wasting your time

Fix-It Utilities Review
I installed Fix It Utilities about a month ago on my computer. I wanted to wait about a month or so before posting a review. It was very easy to install and it is user friendly. It does take some time at first since it is running updates and scanning your computer for any viruses. It also cleans out your registry which over time fills up with clutter. A friend of mine recently sent me a link to a video she wanted me to view and as soon as I clicked on the link a trojan virus was also attached. I was scared to lose everything I have and at the same time very surprised at how fast Fix It Utilities picked it up and started to work on it immediately. I can now say it has been about 2 weeks since that incident and my computer is running great. I think it is a good investment if you want to keep your computer healthy and running for a long time.

Worse ever, support is nonexistent
I tried this on two systems, both of which had errors, and didn't get any help from support. Just forget this version.

Great pairing with ScanSnap 300M
I'm delighted with Paperless. I bought a ScanSnap 300M about a year ago and I was a little surprised at the lack of software included. I bought the only software I could find, "Neat Receipts". It worked pretty good at first, but with 300 documents it has nearly become unusable.

Before purchasing, I evaluated the free trial of Paperless. I imported my existing scans and used Smart Collections to sort things out by Category. I liked having a large view available to select several documents at once and assign a Category. It feels like Apple software, and that's a compliment.

After a couple trial scans, I decided it was well worth the purchase price.

Overall, it's great software that works as expected and I would recommend it to anyone looking for software to go with the ScanSnap 300M.

Excellent! A product I use almost every day
Paperless (formerly Receipt Wallet) is to the Mac what Visioneer/Nuance Paperport was to the PC. I use Paperless with a Fujitsu ScanSnap for Mac. The integration is perfect. Paperless detects the ScanSnap easily. You can Paperless as one of ScanSnap's file destination. Apparently you must buy this directly from the Mariner Software site.

Highlights of Paperless:
> OCR to automatically read your receipts.
> Plenty of categorization options for your documents. I have a separate database for work and home papers. You can categorize as much as you like (insurance, recipes, tax records, etc) and SmartViews and folders are easy to set up.
> Perfect integration with my ScanSnap.
> Good user's manual.

Lowlight:
> When you scan, I believe the scan defaults to the last database opened. It would be good if you could designate which database you want to scan to without having it up and open. Maybe you can and I'm missing something here?

Great product!
I have been looking for a program that would allow me to scan articles/files I have saved over the years, so I am not storing so much paper.

I had been interested in another program, but would have had to upgrade my system software, and purchase a new scanner. I starting checking into NeatWorks Digital Filing System, but after reading the poor reviews on Amazon.com, I had decided against it. In one of the reviews it suggested Mariner Paperless as an alternative that was working for them. After watching the tutorials on Mariner's web site, and downloading the product and trying the demo, I was hooked! The program has everything I was looking for.

Christmas Present for Brother
When my brother was over putting in my new toilet, he needed a tool to open the box with and didn't have one, so he borrowed my box cutter and that gave me an idea about one present to get him for Christmas, or a 50 pack of blades to go along with the other gift I bought him. Little did I know that when I received the 50 pack of blades, it would include another box cutter, so I was pleasantly surprised. He told me he was putting one box cutter in his garage and the one which came with the 50 blades, would be in his home. It's a practical gift, plus one that will come in handy around the home, or in the garage. While I couldn't give you a rating for my brother's box cutter or blades, since I own one of my own, I rated the product based on my experience with one.
