Portable DVD Player Case
Great product. Just what I needed. Case protects DVD player and DVDs well. Case also converted very easily so that it can be hung between two front seats for viewing to be enjoyed by all the kids in the back seat!

A Must To Protect Your Portable DVD Player
This portable DVD player case is very sturdy and strongly made. The DVD player fit perfectly and the case comes with a velcro strap to hold the player in place while it is being used. The case also comes with two straps which allow you to attach them to the back of the front seat and hook onto the case so that the case hangs. This is a great feature so that the case is not on our child's lap the whole time. You can also attach the straps to the backs of both front seats so that it hangs in the middle for multiple viewers sitting in the back seat. The straps were fairly easy to attach. The instructions were a bit confusing, but I followed the pictures provided, and I figured it out pretty quickly. There is plenty of storage in the case, but by the time you store the portable DVD player, the car adapter, the remote control, the battery charger, and the headphones inside, it's a pretty tight fit. I have to hold down the case to close the zipper. Since I don't want force these items in the case, I will no longer place the headphones inside so I can prevent the bulging that occurs.

Great Item for Road Trips
Product was exactly what I expected. Worked great for our trip with a two year old in the backseat and I was able to move it as needed.

Good for travelling
A good quality product. The only issue we had was that the clip fastening the straps snapped off, so we had to ask for another one.

GREAT TRAVELING CASE
This is a great little traveling case for the vehicle. Product is well put together and designed. The only complain we have is the straps are a little too long to for a Jeep Wrangler. In other words, it hangs a little low behind the seats. Otherwise, it fastens very easy and quick and make a great traveling case.

Great case!
This is perfect for protecting the dvd player and storing all the cords and dvds. We love this! And what a great price.

It's ok...
It's ok, but my son always seems to end up kicking it and closing the dvd player, then he get mad.

A few design oversights...
I've purchased 2 of these cases and like how all my equipment can stay together. However, I wish there were some sort of outlet for the power jack when the player is in place--as it is, one corner of the player is always popped up over the edge of the case to accomodate the plug for the power. Also, the pocket for extra cables, DVDs, etc is up against the headrest, and so can never lie flat against the headrest if there's anything in the pocket...I think the pocket would be better situated on the bottom of the case to allow the headrest portion to lay flat. All said, this is a convenient case and I think it is available at a fair price.

Great case
The portable DVD fits perfectly...a little hard to install into the car and not very easily to remove...but a very nice product!

Pretty good case
For the price, this is a pretty good dvd player case. It can be a little tricky mounting it to a car seat (even trickier suspending it between 2 car seats) but not impossible. It seems pretty durable and adequately padded. I only wish that it had a little more storage capacity. With the dvd player and all the accessories (power cord, case mounting straps, etc.) loaded in the bag there is almost no room to carry any dvds. But, with a price so much lower than all the other cases i looked at, I'm not complaining.

Very Disappointed
When you pay this much for a pioneer product you expect it to work, and judging by all the 5 star reviews on amazon many people are more than satisfied with the unit they received. Thus, when the 4200 is operational it is most likely one of the best in dash units on the market. Take it for what its worth, but mine worked for approximately 3 days before the system completely failed; the touch screen stopped working, the motorized face plate ceased to move and the screen went dead. This is the second 1 star post on amazon for this product out of 16 reviews which for pioneer is completely unacceptable. Buy this at your own risk! I got the unit installed in my vehicle drove around and thought it was great for a few days and then it just stopped working to my amazement. I have no choice but to switch it out with amazon for a new one of the same model and if there is even the slightest detail wrong with the second one I receive I will never purchase a Pioneer product again as long as I live.

Awesome Unit Great Features - Video Playback Limited
Great looking HU, very easy to use, all controls are where you expect them, had it installed in my 2005 Ford Expedition in less than 30 minutes. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the following three reasons:

1) It only plays back DIVX. My only reason for buying this HU was to take all of my Music Video DVDs and throw them on a USB HD. The problem is this HU does not playback MKV, MP4, or even AVI. So basically it does not recognize any of the most popular formats in use today. Instead it will only play DIVX which means I had to get the DivX Plus converter. The end result was really lousy quality music videos which are nowhere near as clear as the original DVDs.

Ironically the much more expensive AVIC model line plays back a much wider variety of formats. The H.264 codec handles compression way better than DivX and I have no idea why they chose such a non mainstream format.

2) While playing back videos there is no way to easily fast forward. It does not have an option to say jump forward 15 or 20 seconds, you can touch the slider and pick a place in the video that way, but when you are in traffic that's a little difficult.

3) The HU will only play up to a certain resolution. I'm not sure yet what it is, but I do know it will not play 720p or 1080p even when using the DivX codec. So even if my source video is HD, it has to be downsampled to play on this HU.

Overall though this is a great unit, it is also very easy to bypass the built in screen lockout so you can watch movies while you are driving, its not quite as easy as simply grounding the ebrake cable but it as simple as using a relay. A quick Google Search will show you how, there's even a YouTube video on it.

Also, if you are planning on using a USB hard drive it has to be formatted as FAT32, or else the HU will not be able to read the hard drive. I used guiformat.exe to format it in Windows 7 since Windows 7 would only format the 1TB drive I bought as exFAT.

fuzzy album art
I have to give this a 3.

It would have been a 5, if the album art off my iphone isn't fuzzy, blurry or pixelated. That's not what's being shown in the product description.

A pretty nice head unit
I have had this head unit for about a month and here are my reviews.

FM/AM Tuner

It works good, pulls in the stations real good. With the optional HD radio tuner box, u can add HD (Digital Radio) capabilities which sounds incredible, very crisp and no static. Only bad thing is on the presets, when you store a station on a preset, it doesn't display the station frequency or name on it, jus says PRESET 1

Ipod

The ipod feature works incredible with this unit. Very easy to navigate thru your music collection thru it. You do have to purchase the optional Pioneer Ipod cable to watch videos off your iPod. A neat thing if you have an iphone/ipod touch is that you can watch youtube videos on the radio while you are in ipod source mode. I didn't like that the title of the songs or artist can get easily chopped off if its too long. You would think that they would provide a feature to scroll the text if it didn't fit.

SD card

This is a nice feature. I have a 32GB SDHC with thousands of songs in there and it reads it no problem. Very easy to navigate thru the content as well. Movies and music videos can also be watched via the SDHD card.

XM radio

I have the optional XM tuner and it works really good. Very easy to navigate through the XM channels. I didn't like that it chops off the title of the songs or artist when there's a bit of characters on it.

Bluetooth Cellphone

I have the optional CD-BTB200 unit connected to this unit. First off, this module is like 3+ years old so it does not use the same Bluetooth Profiles that most modern phones use. The hands free cellphone use on this radio is very basic and limited, which is not what I would expect for a 2010 model. It only allows you to answer/hang up calls and that's about it. Why didn't they allow to transfer over and your contacts or even have a keypad to dial out on the radio, it just puzzles me. It is kind of ridiculous that the bluetooth module has the capabilities to store phone contacts but this unit does not have this feature.

Best Head Unit in the Market
Spent months researching for the right head unit for my car. Bought the Alpine IXA-404... what a mistake. Alpine has a good rep on its expensive units, this one was horrible, bad sound, not user friendly at all. NOW the Pioneer 4200 DVD is a great unit, it enhances the Radio & iPod sound... great processor. Artwork looks great... LOVE the EQ... DVD looks great as well. FYI this unit starts up immediately, unlike the old NAV units. Ordered the Bluetooth and I am sure it will work great.

A great case for the price.
It was exactly what I thought it would be. It worked well in our 2000 Town & Country between the front seats and all three of the kids could see it well. Its also nice to have the compartment for movie storage in the back. It has quite a variety of configurations as well.

Nice bag..cheap and perfect
This bag was the cheapest one. It's good quality and holds everything. You can hang it on the back of one seat...doesn't need to go between the two front seats. Very happy with purchase.

GREAT FOR THE SONY DVPFX930
Absolutely plenty of room for the 9 inch Sony player DVPFX930 which is the best player on the market. It holds the player with a strap and buckle to strap the player down and keep it from sliding around. The back inside pocket holds the Remote, the AC adapter, the Car plug adapter, the wires that are used to go to a television, two set of small cheap headphones that go around the top of the head and a couple of DVD's or CD's. Do not pass up this case for you will be very happy that you can carry everything with you.

It also comes with very strong straps to strap to the head rests of a vehicle while also strapping down at the bottom of the seats so that the player is very secure while viewing in the back of a vehicle.

Not bad, but a few issues
This little case works great for the most part. The biggest problems are storing everything. There are three straps that have to be stowed, along with the DVD player, remote, charger, etc. The front part of the case is open, so in some configurations, when the DVD player is setup to play you don't have a good spot to store items that aren't being used. This isn't a huge deal, but it is inconvenient. Overall this is a great case for the price.

Works Great!
I think for the price it's the best out there if you don't have a built in dvd player. I used it for my daughter & drove 12 hrs to NY & back without any problems. I didn't see it move once. I would purchase this again if mine broke tomorrow.

Fits my Asus Netbook and accessories great!
I bought this bag to carry around my Asus Netbook and it's accessories around. On one side, it has a zippable pocket for the computer with two velcro straps to hold it in. Another similiar compartment on the opposite side of the bag zips open and you can keep your charger, mouse and other cables in it as well! WDEC-10 EVA Molded 10-Inch DVD Player Case
This is our second WDEC-10 EVA Molded 10-Inch DVD Player Case. I needed a second case and I could not find onr anywhere, but Amazon had it! Plain and simple, great protection for our DVD players adn room to store cords, dvd's, etc.

Great for the price.
I like this case and it works well for a 9" DVD player. It has ample room for player and all accessories and a few DVD's. The only part that I was disappointed in is, it says that it has built-in earphone jacks and shows a picture of it on the product description, but after purchasing it 3 times, I have yet to receive one that actually has the built-in earphone jack. It actually shows the jack in the picture on the sleeve cover that comes around the case, but as yet I have not received one that has it. So don't expect it to come with one. Otherwise, a great case.

Ok as a case, dubious as a mount
I bought my son a Sony DVP-FX930 9" DVD. This case works fine as a case but its other feature as a mount leaves a lot to be desired. It consists of a series of straps you run around the seat and headrest. It is a real PIA to install and remove. I would look elsewhere if you need a case to act as a mount. If you just need a case, it is fine.

Fits a 10.1" Insignia Portable DVD Player
I have been looking for a case to fit my 10.0" Insignia Portable DVD Player (Insignia is the Best Buy Brand). Strangely enough, Best Buy did not sell a case that fit this player, so I had to look elsewhere. My local Target and Walmart cases did not fit (the DVD cases were too small and the laptop computer cases were too big).

This case fits my player perfectly! There is even a little bit of room to spare, but not much. The case has two compartments: 1 side for the DVD player and 1 side for DVDs and cords. I have not tried to mount this in the car since this isn't the reason I bought the case (but might be a nice perk). Overall, I'm very satisfied.

STOP, DO NOT BUY THIS PLAYER
I purchased this item before we took a ten hour drive so my five year old and my mother would have something to do on the drive. Three days after I installed it the monitor stopped working. We could hear the DVD but the screen was blank. Just so happened it was three days before our vacation.
The people in the service department offered to let me uninstall it and box it back up and mail it back to them and they would send me another one. They were nice but that didn't change my situation.
I didn't want to deal with it happening again so I just ordered another brand, ($400.00) and will likely pile this in the (expensive leason heap).
If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS ! ! ! !

Worst in car DVD Player
The drive died twice within 20 days. Best Buy installation guy told me that this brand is probably one of the worst in the industry. Returned it to Amazon for refund.

Item does not work
Installed the item and the screen lights up, but the dvd player does not work. I spent money to have it put in and put holes in my car and it doesn't work. One is being shipped to replace it, after much debate w/ amazon, so I can keep the old one until the new one comes in 2-4 weeks. I would not recommend purchasing this unit.

Great product
I purchased the product and it was easy to install and looks great. Sound is perfect and my son loves this. Best purchase of the year hope it lasts. It covered a previous spot where another dvd player was, perfect size to cover headliner damage.

Turned out to be a Lemon
I am not sure if it is just the unit I got or what, but I got a lemon. After spending almost as much as the unit itself on installation, it turned out to be a dead dvd player. The first dvd played for a minute, but once I hit next, everything froze up. I tried several dvds (new and old) and none of them played at all. While it played for a minute, it skipped on its own and froze up again.

The picture was pretty good and the sound wasn't bad for built-in speakers, but they are of no use if you cant play a dvd in it.

This one is going back.

DVD for Children Ages 7 to 13
I brought thiis for my grandchildren for a road trip. They enjoyed the DVD player while we travel,while they slept we recharge the battries.

Disappointed
The player seemed adequate for its intended purpose, to entertain a grandchild, but to my amazement the battery didn't last through a full length movie.

used prime shipping never received item, I was suppose to get the item overnight. ordered on a wed it would not of come until at least Monday. I found when I called Friday and Saturday, the shipper said oh that won't even move until Monday if it's going to Utah. Very dissappointed as we wanted it for a trip on Sunday

good dvd player for adults, too
I wanted a portable dvd player to take with me on trips so that I could continue following my
dvd yoga routines. The player is great as are the carrier and all the other extras that were included. I certainly would recommend the product to be used by an adult or a child. I'm very happy with my selection of Audiovox. The headphones definitely enhance the otherwise mediocre sound.

Great buy!
I recently purchased this DVD player and have nothing but great things to say about it. It is very simple to use, the straps for the headrest go through the back of the player so you don't have to unstrap to change DVD's, and the cords are more than long enough to reach for both the power and the connector between the two monitors.

Very good and inexpensive
I had a difficult time finding a good mobile DVD player for multiple viewers (I've got 2 kids) that installed easily into the car. This is the perfect portable DVD player for the car, expectially if you have more than one viewer. DVD player comes with 2 screens, so each my 2 kids have a screen to themselves. Installation is easy because it fits on the headrest of the front seats. Price is unbeatable! We bought this player for long trips, especially for a drive from Massacshusetts to Florida and then back again. We used the player for about 80% of the trip and we use it regularly on trips of 1 hour or more (at least once per month). We have had this player since December 2009 and it still works fine.

Broke on the 2nd DVD
I liked the idea of a screen for each kid to make viewing easier. The trade off was no battery, but I was OK with that. However, my kids played 2 kids DVD and it quit working. It would no longer play a DVD and we still had almost 4 full days left in the car. Ugggh! Props to Amazon for the refund when we got home from our trip.

We like it!
This product was just what we were hoping it would be. We love it! The only "con" is that if you turrn off the car in the middle of the movie, it will start itself over when he vehicle starts again. Other than that, it's fabulous!

Flawed design aspects and not so great with thin DVD player
Bought this to use with Sony DVP FX80 player and was quite disappointed.

The Sony is relatively thin so the strap that holds the player in the case was too long as the Velcro section was not long enough to allow the strap to be tightened sufficiently to stop the player sliding about. Tying a knot in the strap to shorten it fixed the problem but a more permanent solution might be a needle and thread!

Next, the side straps were that dictate the angle of the base and screen were very hard to adjust so the player was not held at a near 90 degree angle, More adjustment is really needed. But, by pushing back the fabric concertina-like sheaths on the side straps really aggresively it was possible to get the screen into the correct position so the player was fully open. After these fixes it was a good case.

As with many of these cases the space for DVD's was covered by the screen itself but we keep them in a separate case so that wasn't an issue.

The case itself seems well made and appears reasonably stylish for this type of product but the functionality will depend on the choice of player.

Having read other reviews there may be better cases out there

Disappointed
Bought 2 of these units in June 2010 - both of them failed to load CD's or DVD's. The manual said remove the two screws on top of the unit, when I checked there were no screws on the unit.

I am now stuck with the 'ever so pleasant Amazon product return' woes.

I would recommend putting out the extra bucks and buy a higher end name brand.

Even the knobs onthe unit were not aligned properly.

bought this for my son's birthday. he LOVED it! It is really cool and now I want one for myself.

It last only for 2 months
I bought this stereo for my father in law's Christmas present. I mail it to Venezuela where he lives and where the stereos are very expensive.

The first 3 months it worked perfectly, then it started to fail playing the songs after 30 minutes or so of turning it on. Later it became even worse, it started to come out smoke from the front. The worse is he only used it to play songs from a USB drive, not DVD and not SD.

He took it to a repair shop in Venezuela and surprise: they had 4 more of this brand of stereos, all with the same problem: the internal memory gets burn!! And it is very expensive and hard to replace.

They have an expression in Venezuela that works perfect for this situation: "Lo barato sale caro" which translates to: "the cheap eventually becomes expensive"

Better than expected
Installed into wifey's Ascender. Integrated rear screens with head unit. For the price, it does a lot more than my Pioneer AVHP7800DVD and AVHP7500DVD. Rich in features, flawless link up to an iPhone. Bluetooth audio sounds 100 times better than my Pioneer BTB-200. Phone calls sound a little airy but its probably attributed to the cheap mic. SD/USB is a nice option. The only thing about changeing the SD card is that the faceplate has to be removed everytime, but hey how often are you going to change the card??

What I like most about this product is that this is a flip out that is self contained, no need to hide a brain unit or controller components.

A couple of the negs now, the romote is "harrible", not the one i've seen in other pics of this unit. A flat card with about 100 bubble buttons. The cooling fan is noticable, not so bad right now but I wonder how loud it could get when and if the bearings go bad. The manual??? "Fahgett a bout it"!!! (said in Itai Jersey accent). Reads like Raheem Oliver Xiang Ga Ming Abdul Kareem Manual Ortiz wrote it while asleep on the toilet. Its a "Must no read".

Overall all though for the price, locally shops want $300-400 for this unit installed, at $250+ not a bad buy.
