All USB chargers are not identical, if you plug the wrong one in to our LG phone you may get told "this charger is not recommended for this phone" and it may or may not charge. So spend the few extra bucks and buy the right one.

THE PERFECT WIRELESS PHONE JACK
This product I had previously purchased from Menards almost three years ago and needed a second one for my down stairs TV for Dish Network requirements. I checked area stores: Menards, and Walmart and found that this dealer had the greatest savings on this item at least $10.00! They shipped it on time and arrived before their expected arrival date. I would not hesitate to order something similar from them int he future!

Hit or Miss, worth a try...
Seems like a great idea to avoid unsightly (and potentially -if you have an elderly dependent- dangerous) long wires. So I gave it a try.

The unit is very well and solidly built (if a bit bulky), and a snap to set up. Plug the base unit into an electrical plug close to your main phone line, and run a phone cable from the phone line to the base unit. Do the same with the sattelite unit, and connect the phone to the satellite unit - you are done. You will get dial tone.

What will depend a lot on your wiring, I assume, is sound quality. It was horrid in my environment - heavy static, a very loud and variable background noise and muffled voice to top it off. It was unusable in that environment. I don't blame the product - I am sure it depends a lot on how the wires run in a place. Seems worth a try, even though it didn't work for me.

Works Great!
I am using it for my Directv Sat receiver and it works perfectly. I can now order movies without going online or calling Directv. Easy to install, took me about 5 minutes.

Wireless phone jack for Satellite TV
So far so good. I bought this product to reduce the cost of $5 monthly because I could not connect to a phone jack.

Product arrived as promised and was easy to set up. A great savings over purchasing from the store. Clarity of the picture is not compromised and I have had no issues in 2 weeks.

Worked for about 14 months
Used it with Dish receiver to avoid $5.00/month charge. I have been through 2 sets of these and it would have been cheaper to pay $60/year is Dish charges than buy 2 sets of these in 14 months.

Good Paperweight
This is my first review on amazon, and I only write it because I've been looking to replace this phone and can't seem to find a good alternative.

This phone is a good toy for babies. They appreciate the way the screen lights up when a button is pressed. I'm sure better deals can be found for such toys.

Seriously, though: this phone is terrible.

The battery life is laughable, maybe 15 or 20 minutes of talk time.

The software is terrible: I am a programmer and I don't think shutting the phone off at a certain step so it will join a wireless network with a stored password is NOT a valid step for the end user.

So, don't buy unless you want to be disappointed.

Great phone, more than expected.
I am totally pleased with this phone and would recommend it highly. It connected easily to my home network, has never disconnected from a call. The voice quality is equal to using my blue tooth and my laptop to make Skype calls. Battery life is more than adequate, though I'm not a big talker. If I were I would just keep it plugged into the charging cord I guess. Standby charge is more than 24 hours. I've read on other reviews that the phone 'gets hot' when on the charger but I have had the phone over a month and have not had any problem with over-heating. If there is a negative, it would be the buttons/key pad. I guess the best way to discribe them is that they are very analog and could be more responsive, though I'm not sure if it's just that they tend to give the impression of not being reliable. This is not when entering a number to dial a call, but if you have to enter additional numbers after the call is collected, like navigating through one of those automated phone directories.

All-in-all, this is a great little phone that allows me to make Skype calls without being tied to my laptop or any computer, and this freedom more than makes up for any minor flaws in the phone.

Very easy to use
It`s very easy to use. A good connection with the wifi.
the registration in the phone was simple and just a little disconnection some time (few seconds)

DO NOT BUY THIS! Get the NetGear version instead
It is no where close to 'plug and play' and the user interface is missing some key setup menu options to make it work without needed a degree in quantum physics. Even with my network security totally off, this phone could not connect and the tech support guy in India had zero clue about the product. Bottom line, go with the Netgear Skpe phone - it just works.

Outstanding book
I am the CTO of an organization specializing in electromagnetism, EMI / EMC, filter design, and power electronics. I purchased this book to ramp up one of our design teams on a large, recently initiated RF design project. This book provides an excellent introduction to the both the theoretical and practical aspects of radio-frequency design and testing. All of the subjects are presented clearly and concisely. I have recommended the book to our top-engineers and plan to buy multiple copies. I own 60-100 reference texts covering a wide array of electrical and mechanical engineering subjects, including several on radio frequency design: this is one of the best reference texts, on any subject, that I have read.

spans numerous topics in RF design
You should ignore the breathless blurb headline on the back cover that claims "The only source for practical, real world information on RF measurements for cellular phones and wireless data systems". Surely there must be other texts.

But this is certainly a well written one. It starts from basics about RF circuits and the various digital modulation techniques. Just as importantly, it explains various measurement devices like power meters and VNA and VSA. The up to date nature of the RF engineer's toolkit is a valuable synopsis.

The text also takes you into the semiconductor structures currently used, like a HEMT [High Electron Mobility Transistor]. Power amplifiers are given good coverage.

At a higher level, simple antenna principles are explained, as well as how to assemble a wireless communication system. Actual standards like TDMA and WiMax, however, are only briefly dealt with.

Great Phone!
We bought this phone for use in our conference room at work. Everybody is very pleased with the sound quality and range. Highly recommended for a conference room.

Nearly Perfect
Works so well I often have people in my office instead of having to find a conference room. Works with bluetooth and analog beautifully! No cell phone buzz!

Only thing I wish worked was auto-discovery when I walk into my office, but given the range (my cell phone stays conected for almost 100 feet when I walk out of my office) this is probably impractical.

Speaker makes hiss when unit is off
Didn't try out the Bluetooth features. Unit is similar to Polycom Voicestation 300 except for the additional Bluetooth capability. Speaker makes a low hiss when the unit is off. See my review for the Voicestation 300. Returned to Amazon.

Works Better than expected, credit to polycom's focus
Was not sure the concept would work well , but we needed a flexible phone conf system for our small office.

Sound quality is brillant, and all the people on the office have synced there variety of phones ( it allows for mulitple phones to be pre-synced so you can just grab the unit anytime ) to the unit, so they can instantly make any call a a conference call.

We have Iphone 3G / 3GS and two very basic motorola GSM phones, and they all work perfectly with the unit.

The analog line input works well as a back up too, and it is mostly plugged into a vonage line , since it is very easily switchable to jump on a bluetooth connect after they have been paried ( a single button ).

Also the PC input has been usefull for use on skype calls.

It is truly the swiss army knife of conf phones, for the modern communicator.

The only negative is it is not rechargable, so it is tethered where as it works with all the cordless phones.

Very Nice!
Polycom always provides excellent quality in sounds and it's also the case for this product.
Combination with iPhone through Bluetooth connection is the best way to set up telecon because it allows me to do it anywhere.
the only reservation, however, is AC adopter which is too big to bring.

If there is a product like a Bluetooth version of Polycom Communicator, that'll be wonderful, too.
