Excellent Book

Great Case!
I am very pleased with the quality of the case AND the color. I got the vibrant green for something bright and fun. It fits the Kindle perfectly and offers great protection. The sides of the carry case are harder along with padding inside. The silicone skin is just an extra layer of protection, especially while handling the Kindle. Keeps finger prints at bay and is easy to see through to locate the buttons. Now I feel safe carrying my Kindle every where I go. Still compact enough to go inside my handbag if I want to combine the two. Great investment.

Perfect Presentation Tool
This mouse pointer works perfectly for Power Point presentations. Advances slides (forward and backward) and has LED pointer. I haven't had the problem with battery life others complain about. The battery cover seems a little flimsy but hasn't been a problem.
Works in both Mac and PC. No setup problems.

Waste of money -

never able to get it to work

Bad product - didn't work even for a single try
I was using the presenter for the first time, and about 10 minutes into my presentation, the laser button got jammed and stopped working. Subsequently, the page-up and page-down buttons felt like they could come off any second. While it worked right out-of-the-box on my macbook (with MS powerpoint), the presenter seems really flimsy and even for $12 (I bought it on a sale), it doesn't seem worth it. I am trying to return it and hoping that I'll get my money back.

Exactly what I needed
For what this cost (super cheap), I got exactly what I needed. I didn't need anything with extra features, just the basics, and this is perfect. I had a hard time locating a battery for it (had to go to a specialty place), but that was pretty inexpensive also. I've had no issues with battery life, but I also heeded the warnings of other reviewers and I remove the battery when I'm not using it. All in all, an excellent little gadget.

Great functionality, crappy battery life!
Pros: This pointer is streamlined and easy for any "pointy haired boss" to use! Priced under $15 it's a bargain.

Cons: Terrible batterly life! The second presentation we used this for the batter started to fail. That's less than 2 hours of actual use for ppt page flipping and occasional laser pointer. It's also got a small 13V battery, so when the pointer craps out you can't just go the easy route with AAA battery.

ruined computer
cd which came with device did not work so I had to go to their website and download.Device still did not work and my computer quit after going to that site.DB Roth sent out a pick up and are going to refund my money (they didnt have to),so they are fine but end result was purchase of new computer.

Would not function with my Macintosh
Not much to say. Could not get it work with a Macintosh. Went thru install / configuration procedures again and again. Unit could not connect. I give up. Also, the PDF instructions were very low resolution, difficult to read, blurry. What a pain.

Disappointing
I just couldn't get this little guy to
work with my Mac based wifi system.

I kept getting caught up in a set-up loop
and never got it to connect to the router,
although it did seem to know it was there.

I returned it and was cheerfully refunded
what I paid for it.

I'm happy with the seller, just disappointed
that the product wouldn't work for me.

Great wireless G adapter for the price
I was very happy with the wireless adapter upon receipt. It took me a time to initially set-up but if you're tech. savy, it's not difficult. I believe it would be a challenge for anyone who isn't. However, I tend to dive into things first, and only reference documentation if I experience a problem.

You can't beat the price, and it functions well. However, the driver is not supported on Vista or Win 7 (and it's stated on Amazon).

I would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive and very dependable wireless adapter.

Note: I just provided mine to my sister, as she needed one, and I'm thinking about another purchase.

Just like the title: Outstanding Value and Dependability!
We bought this USB internet device after being disappointed with the setup and operation of a competitor. Not only was this easy to install, but it delivers dependable connections day in and day out. The software interface could stand to be more robust in the way of having more security functionalities. There are no dropped connections and a wireless distance of 30 feet provides about a 50-60% level. I would not hesitate in recommending this as I would buy more of their products.

Hoped I had waited 3 more weeks for the new one
I love my kindle, but I don't like the short life of the battery. I have had my second one for only three weeks and now the new one is out. I wished I had waited. I read a lot, so pushing the "next page" button is killing my thumb. I love the free books and the availablity of not having to store books on my shelves. Lets not forget saving a few trees too. Overall I would say my Kindle rocks.

Kindle 2nd Generation
I am in love with this product. I enjoy reading and this devise has made it even more enjoyable. I no longer have to carry books around that can be heavy and some to thick to even carry. Every feature is great. The only thing I am disappointed about is the fact they came out with a more advanced one that holds more books and has a longer battery life not long after I purchased this one. However, I am greatful for this one and I am going to continue to enjoy it just the same. If you love to read, it is worth its weight in gold.

Greatest New Idea in Reading!
I Love the Kindle as much as i thought i would! I have been reading non-stop since i got it. I live in a rural area where the nearest large bookstore is 65 miles away. now i can get a book i want in less than a minute! and i love the idea of having the book samples to read Before one buys the book, so you can really know you'll like it or not before you buy it. before i bought the Kindle, i was worried that it would be difficult to "go back and re-read passages" like i do when reading a regular book. but the "search the book" feature takes care of that Easily!

great kindle
I love my new Kindle, since I read in bed I find books rather awkward and am always trying to position them. I lay on my side facing away from my husband with my small reading lamp on. I only bought hardback books because they were easier to prop up, so the Kindle is actually saving me money. It will pay for itself several times over since the price of books are lower than the hardbacks at the store.

Easy to set up. My 8 year old uses it with no problems. She and her friends have lots of fun with it and it keeps her from texting with my phone (and has quieted her asking for her own phone, for a while at least).

Does the job at a great price
Does what is says but don't expect it to be a weather forecaster. We have the remote outside about 20' from the unit and it works fine. Living in the California Bay area, the forecasting is horrible (just like every other pressure-based forecasting clock/temp devices). But the good news is our weather here is pretty predictable so that feature is unnecessary. Supposedly, has capability to read two temp sensors but even the one we have doesn't show up as '1' like the instruction manual states. As other reviewers note, the setup is unnecessarily complex and you do have to follow it -- just read the manual. Temperature reading is not super accurate. We have another unit that we put out front (the Oregon Scientific projector clock) and there's about a 2-3 degree temp difference. So, don't get this one if you need it to be accurate. We use it for relative temp (like if it's above 80, it's hot; below 60 it's cold; etc) and so we are happy with it. Also, the atomic clock doesn't work. We've always had problems in the kitchen with atomic clocks -- likely the signal in there is weak. Once in a while, we move it to the upstairs bedroom for the night to get the clock to sync.

Gave it 4 stars since it is great for the price. Didn't really expect it to be perfect for only $20. Like I said, it does the job.

Accurate
Was looking for a weather station with temperature, barometer and humidity and this fit the bill. Thought the man with various outfits was corny, but it has proven to be relatively accurate and gives you a quick indication of the direction the barometer is heading.

No Customer Service
I ordered this despite the reviews complaining of no Customer Service by Lacrosse. I have another product by them and it works fine, so I took the plunge. Unfortunately, there is an issue with the item (surise/set incorrect). I e-mailed them a week ago, and received an auto-responder reply. Nothing else. I e-mailed again. Nothing. Back it goes.

Almost a good product
I buy things with the expectation they're going to keep working.
After one year of marvelous service, the thing crapped out.
Month 13: the humidity sensor crapped out
Month 14: the wireless transmitter appeared to lose range, then totally died (yes, I followed the instructions for battery replacement on both units)
Month 15: indoor thermometer hit the skids, reading 135 degrees, then "OF"

So, for one year this thing made me quite happy, even with a little character to briefly entertain my kids each morning.
After that year, this thing is a skipping stone.

I had no expectations for customer service, assuming any warranty on the device was less than 12 months... But I was pleased to find that I could still get a PDF of the user manual online. To me, that's a credit to Lacrosse. Manufacturing a short-lived product goes to their discredit.
