Good Value (review from a former furniture installer)
I used to install office furniture (put myself through college that way) and know a fair amount about the construction quality of office chairs. I've probably assembled several thousand of them, everything from Global to Herman Miller to Hon. I've also built the cheap off-brand chairs that big-box office retailers sell. Usually, the less expensive the chair, the lower the quality. A good office chair from a top-shelf brand that matches this chair's design and characteristics would cost 2-3x what this chair does.

Usually the difference in cost is due to poor quality plastic parts, a poor quality pneumatic lift mechanism, lower grade leather (if applicable), and junk casters that don't roll freely. After building this chair and testing it out, I can say that it is a very well made chair with quality parts, except for the arm rests. The pneumatics are strong and even and fully support even a large male (I weight 205lbs). The leather seat cushion is comfortable, not over or under stuffed, and sewn with heavy gauge stitching which won't fail quickly. The caster are adequate, and while not quite as nice as those on a premium chair, do roll easily and freely without getting stuck, even on office carpet. The mechanical levers for seat adjustments are well placed and are easy to adjust. The machine quality of the metal parts is good, and the whole chair assembly is firm and well built.

The mesh back is responsive, firm, and comfortable. While not adjustable as on some much more expensive models, it does support a variety of back types adequately. If you prefer a very 'cushy' chair back such as an overstuffed chair, this is NOT the chair for you. This is a firm back and lower lumbar support type of chair.

What this chair lacks is quality arm rests. They are concave, which is a decent design for those with thinner arms, but if you are a larger person, they can and will become uncomfortable. They are also made of slightly tacky plastic, which doesn't breathe and is much less desirable than leather arm rests in my opinion.

Aside from the arm rests, this is a really nice office chair that's built to last. It's well worth the price, and is comparable enough to more expensive models to make it a solid purchase.

Assembly tip: either get a 3-point Phillips head screwdriver or a hand wrench to tighten down the machine screws that attach the arms and chair base. A small screwdriver will not be sufficient and you'll find yourself needing to re-tighten them constantly. Trust me, it's better to get them extremely tight the first time around using the correct tool.

Decent comfort, style and looks for price range
I was in need of a simple task chair to replace one at a temporary desk that did not have a decent chair. For the price ($154.00) I paid, this is a decent chair. Not the best; minimal adjustment, mesh backing keeps you cool, and while it isn't uncomfortable I can't imagine being seated in this for hours.

Love this chair
I bought this for my home office, after sitting in an Aeron at work a few years back. I was looking for something as comfy without the hefty price tag. I settled on this one because of the price and the users reviews at another site (don't recall now, I've had this chair for over 6 months now.) It has exceeded my expectations, and what a bargain. I think I paid about $125 for mine. Not as adjustable as the Aeron, but all those knobs confused me. The only drawback for me is the the seat length. I am only about 5'2" and it is a bit deep for me.

Extremely comfortable!
I purchased this chair for the circulation desk of our library. So far, we've had no problems with it. It was easy to assemble and adjust. It is comfortable to sit in for long periods of time, unlike our last chair. We've all had less back and neck aches since we got this chair. Highly recommended!

Great combo of price and comfort
We had been looking for mid back chair with an air grid back but most did not have the features that we wanted. This chair has a great combo of features at a reasonable price. The leather seating is great and we really like the lumbar support. Adjustments are easy and the assembly went very fast. This is a good value.

It's Microsoft...
Not native to Intel Macs - so a little slow and buggy even with the latest patch (one a month!). But, Office 2008 eliminated Visual Basic - so what is a small business to do? For now we are sticking with 2004 and may skip 2008 all together for 2010?

Odd experience, but decent
The package arrived at the predicted time, and the product works well enough. No complaints for Amazon, but the box did arrive absolutely soaking with some weird yellow cake-mixy substance. It's a good thing the software box was shrink wrapped!

It's still the Gold Standard
I've been using Microsoft Office since Office 98 and have never had a problem with any of the programs. Of course it has many more features than most people will ever use, but I constantly find new ways to streamline projects. I use it mostly in a business environment and don't know of any other program (suite) that would work as well as this does. I suppose for most "home" users, Apples Pages, Sheets, and Keynote would work fine, but for real heavy lifting you (still) pretty much need Office.

i had this series when i was taking an office suites for an pre-IT course for UC (cincinnati) back in 1983. Now that i have been laid off in force, then this office 2007 is perfect for a refresher course especially since i have not had a chance to use office suites at my last job. so i would recommend this book to anyone starting out or for a refresher.

Best ball chair to own
This is the best chair I have ever owned. After years of suffering with chronic neck and back pain caused by sitting in various office chairs, I discovered the Ergo Chair. Good Reference Book!
This book is a very good reference book for project managers. In particular, it is helpful for creating timelines to view projects at a glance and tracking project details with Gantt charts.

Great Book for Beginners
This books is great for beginners. I took a class in Visio and this is the book they used. Walks you through everything. Truly step by step and with pictures to guide you.

Thought it was very good
Despite the negative reviews of some others, I thought this book was more than satisfactory. I purchased it to do some training, and felt totally comfortable with the content and its presentation.

Better books are available - buy one of them instead
I had a good experience with one of the "Step by Step" books a few years ago, but this one was pretty disappointing. The text and exercises are helpful only at the most basic level. While I knew it was an introductory book, I did not realize just HOW basic it would be. If you've never seen Visio before, you may find it of some use, but it will be of absolutely no value as a desk reference after it's been read.

In addition, it is supposed to be a paperback book with a CD that, in addition to practice files, includes an eBook version for the buyer's convenience. That makes a good selling point for this product, but it is misleading. Only 60% of the book is in hard copy, the remaining chapters are stored in individual PDF files on the accompanying CD along with the eBook (which also contains only 60% of the content). I did not expect or want to be tied to my desktop computer in order to read the last 40% of the book (a total of 4 chapters).

Overall, Microsoft Visio 2007 Step by Step was poor choice and I would not recommend it to anyone.
