Dangerous
I used no xplode off and on for years. All of the sudden, one day I had very itchy skin. It itched from head to toe. One blood test later I find out that my liver enzymes are through the roof and probably have been for quite some time. I immediately quit all supplements I was on (which consisted of no xplode). One week later my enzymes had lowered but were still high. Hopefully I have not gone to far down the road to be able to recover fully. I would stay far clear of this product as it has a history of creating liver problems for people. I am only 27 years old, and I have some serious liver issues that I am dealing with thanks to this product. I had no idea that this product was so distructive to the liver. Beware!

Great Pre-Workout Drink for P90X
I use this for P90X and I notice a huge difference. It helps recovery like nothing else I've tried. You need to drink a lot of water, but you should be doing that anyway. Orange is my favorite flavor. It's not for the faint of heart though, you should always ask a doctor if your body can handle a supplement.

Top Choice Pre-Igniter
NO-Explode has been my top choice pre-workout igniter for many months now. I will continue to use this product at the gym and when playing sports.

"Don't take it unless you're serious, man."
The first time I encountered NO-Xplode was in a GNC when I was looking at all the new supplements that had sprung up while I was busy getting out of shape. I'd read nothing about it, and asked the clerk what it was. He looked me up and down and said, "Don't take it unless you're serious, man." I wasn't serious at that time, so I didn't buy it.
A couple of years later, I had been training diligently for over a year and was looking at a short term membership at a new gym. I was only going to be in town for a month, so the owner gave me two options: $5 a day, or free 30-day membership if I bought more then $30 worth of supplements from their supplies. Option #2 sounded great, and I spotted a jar (tub? container?) of NO-Xplode (fruit punch flavor). "How about this stuff?" I asked. "Don't take it unless you're serious, man," he answered. So I bought it. They were right.
First: pay attention to the timing of the usage, 2 hours after meals and wait for the powder to fully dissolve and settle, it's a little carbonated and ignoring either of these conditions can cause some stomach problems. But it is the best pre-workout supplement I have ever tried, and I keep coming back to it. 3 months on, one off. It's worth the money, I call it my "Popeye Juice." Instant pump, great workouts, added stamina, and by golly, increased strength. I haven't tried the other flavors, but the fruit punch is very tasty, kind of like a sweet-tart. Non-hormonal, creatine enhanced, so drink lots of water while using it. I'm a fan.

If you like working out and bananas, buy this now.
Easily my favorite flavor of any protein supplement I've ever tried. I'm a huge fan of the banana creme flavor, but BSN has topped Cytosport, Oh Yeah!, and GNC's versions, in my opinion. Aside from tasting great, this stuff mixes really well, and is a great pre-workout and pre-bedtime protein. The sustained release proteins keep your muscles fed during and after intense workouts, and help keep you anabolic during sleep as well. Even if you don't get the banana flavor, this product is a great alternative to pure casein protein powder, and can really be taken any time during the day since it has all kinds of slow and fast-release proteins in it. Great job, BSN!

This is a great protein. What I love the most is how easy is to mix it with water or milk. Highly recommended!

Syntha-6...It's Grrreat!!!
I researched a lot of protein shakes before deciding to try Syntha-6. The big selling points for me were taste, quality of protein, and availability. I took a huge gamble and bought the 5.04 lb BARRELL!:-) I'm sure glad I did. I have never used protein before but I wanted to add protein to my diet as part of a new workout routine. I am getting old (mid 40's) and have always wanted to return to my high school fitness and conditioning. Well, needless to say I was in worse shape than ever. The first week of July 2010 I only benched 135lbs...once!!! I think I was stronger in 3rd grade!!! Well, just adding the Syntha-6 protein shake, eating healthy, and working out 3 times per week I have increased my bench press to 195lbs in just 3 weeks. For the first time in years I have actually put on muscle. Didn't think it was possible at my age. The only things I have done in the past 3 weeks are add Syntha-6, eat healthy, and work out. Not sure how much to contribute to each...but I will not be changing anything in my routine. Oh yeah, it does taste great and dissovles well. Try it with low-fat milk instead of water. Love It!!!

Great product
I was a little leery of purchasing this product because I read so many reviews about people raving, saying that I would have absurd amount of energy etc etc. I am female and have a very petite frame and I used 1 scoop. It gave me a nice, natural amount of energy, where I felt like my workout was substantially better. I did not feel the jitters or anything like that, but I did experience the small, light "tingle" that everyone talks about. The tatse is very good and the mixability with a fork is just fine. Overall, this is a great product to use and I recommend buying this product to anyone who has the extra money to afford buying things that they don't necessarily need. I also would use this product in cycles as recommended because I can't imagine it being healthy using this product on a day-to-day basis. If you need that much energy, get more sleep!

I use this before every workout and it is amazing how much my energy levels have gone up. The taste is incredibly sweet but does go down easily. I have told a lot of friends and co-workers about this product and how I really feel it helps with energy levels and the ability to work out harder and longer.

Pretty okay Product
I really do feel receiving that extra boost/energy to work harder and longer. There isn't any affects or side affects after taking Jack3D, but I have only took it for about a month and stop. Now, I have been working all natural (meaning using whatever energy i have stored in me), so i don't get addicted on Jack3D. I will start using again in the future.

Solid product
I had been using the walmart brand pre-workout blend and this blows it out of the water. Gives me good energy to make it through the insanity workouts on 1 scoop. After insanity, i'll but upping to 2 scoops when i got back through p90x.

Only drawback is several times i've still been "jacked up" for about an hour after the workout - tough to sit still.

Use with caution!
This product absolutely works, it does help endurance and it does help build your muscles faster than working out alone, and the number one positive effect is that sexually you will be amazed at your performance after a week of taking this product! I would have rated this product with 5 Stars but when my left eye started twitching and got better after I was off of the product for a week. I still take it from time to time to help in the bedroom but the eye twitching turned me off of it.

Seems to work with a small caveat
This does indeed work as expected, gives the muscles being trained a significant pump. In fact, in couple of cases I had to stop the particular exercise and change over to another muscle group due to tautness in the worked muscles. One small side-effect was that it seems to slow down stomach function, and users may experience constipation. This may be an effect of not drinking enough water at the same time, but nevertheless a real effect.

It's ok. Not great. I felt a little pump but not as much as I was expecting.

Not really sure
I had been using Force Factor over the winter to good results. I tried this because it was similar and much less expensive. I took it quite regularly and followed a good work out routine. I think it helped maintain my gains from Force Factor, but didn't really add anything new. I experienced no negative side effects. I would recommend it based on the price.

Great Product
First, the product arrived quick (that is always important). The price was the cheapest I could find for the same product and it has a great flavor to it. More importantly if you are looking for a great protein shake this is it. Muscle Milk has the best tasting shakes that I have ever tried. It mixes well with milk and even water. Use as directed and you will see results. I have solely been using Muscle Milk products and have seen a difference in size, weight, and endurance.

Tastes great and helps me recover from workout quicker
I just started taking this, not as recommended, but one serving after my workout. I take all things in moderation. But i have noticed a quicker recovery from after my workouts then from taking nothing at all. I don't really have anything to compare it to but it tastes great and works quick.

heavy metals in Muscle Milk
See July 2010 Consumer Reports magazine (page 27) re heavy metals - lead, arsenic and cadmium - in Muscle Milk.

Do your research before ingesting. I recommend egg whiles as safer protein with all the aminos.

Uh Oh
After ordering this, I saw on Fox News and Consumer Reports that this is really unhealthy. I can not believe they market this stuff w/o regard for the dangerous levels of heavy metals that are in it. Shame on Muscle Milk!

I love Animal Cuts, I've tried other multi vitamins and used a generic pack type vitamin and blah. These do include large pills so if you have trouble swallowing pills these might not be for you, but if you're looking for a complete assortment of vitamins/minerals then you can't go wrong with these.

22 horse pills, gave me a mild energy boost nothing more. Your liver will work overtime trying to digest so many pills. A strong cup of coffee and 2 mutivitamins worked better.

superior product
Saw great results - more energy and more muscle mass put on once I started using, without modifying my existing program or diet in any way. Downsides: they sort of smell - if you are traveling you need to put into a ziplock bag those packets that you are bringing with you, or else the smell of them will permeate your luggage; they are horse pills - significantly larger than the typical tablet; some of the elements they include are in such small amounts to have little effective impact - seem to be more there for marketing than actual physical benefit i.e. COq10.

I haven't noticed any marked increase in energy or recuperation over good nutrition or choice energy packed foods before going to the gym. I'll take a PBJ sandwich over the Pak any day for energy sustenance.

Not tasty but no hint of fish taste
This is probably as tasty as fish oil can get. You can't taste or smell the fish at all. That is not to say it tastes like fresh squeezed orange juice or anything, but given the flavor they are covering up it is probably the best that can be done. It is kind of an oily paste the consistency of toothpaste. That consistency is not all that pleasant, but at least the packets are small (2g) so there is not much to eat. I keep it in the fridge and eat it cold rather than at room temp. It seems better that way.

if you think fish oil is good for you like me - this has a great taste & swallowing is no problem. a great product

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR DRY SKIN & DEPRESSION
This is a wonderful product. I've used it for several years since I have a hard time swallowing pills and can't stand the fishy taste of other products. My husband dislikes the fishy taste of omega-3 even moreso and I finally got him to agree to use it. Now that he's on board, he reminds me to take my "guppies"! Ha! But seriously, this is great. It helps my mood tremendously (along with vitamin D) and within 3 days of taking it I noticed my extremely dry skin is smooth and supple. It's been amazing actually. If I forget to take it for a few days, my same old dry skin comes back. I recently saw in the national news that Omega 3 has shown to be very promising for schizophrenia, which can be very hard to keep under control because your body gets used to the medications and then they have to try new ones all the time. I recommended it someone I know who has it and they saw great improvement, so I was extremely happy for them. It has so many other benefits too, but I make sure I'm getting it on sale for no more than twenty one...People with health conditions that take Cox-2 inhibitors need to discuss with their doctors before taking because this is a natural Cox-2 inhibitor and you may get too much. However, if you have a good dr. they may be open to letting you wean yourself off the drugs and see if this works for you instead. Also, check with your dr. if you are on blood thinners or have heart failure. It may not be right for everyone.

Use for dog with lupus
The vet prescribed Omega-3 for our German Shepard that has a form of lupus. We initially could get type of product in a bottle with a pump, but it was discontinued. I would have liked to have continued to get this style, but I have been unable to find it. These packets are a good alternative. Dog seems to like (mixed with food). I tried it myself and it does have a good orange flavor.

Unpleasant taste, but a good source of omega-3 oils
When I eat a packet of this oil, the first taste that hits me is an unpleasant bitterness. Then a thick, overpoweringly artificial "orange" flavor. Then the sweetness comes on, but it too is overpowering--it does take away the bitterness but it's so strong it's unpleasant in its own way. The aftertaste is the artificial orange and a slight bitterness, but it disappears very quickly if you eat or drink anything (which can't be said of fish oil!)

I will still be buying this because I believe it's a quality form of omega-3 oils, but I could not call it delicious by any stretch.

Cons: Tastes bad: Too bitter, too sweet, heavy "artificial orange" taste

Pros: Quality blend of absorbable omega-3 oils, tastes less unpleasant than plain fish oil (with no "fishy" taste), convenient single-serving packets, and though the taste is unpleasant it is quickly and easily removed with food or water (unlike regular fish oil, which tends to linger.)

good source of protein, taste sucks...
I like ON whey protein. It's low on carbs, fat, sugars and high on Protein. I don't recommend strawberry flavor, it tastes like medicine. The mixer or bottle stinks after a while if you leave it to get dried without washing.

Best whey protein
Best whey protein in the market in this price segment. Tastes great, easily digestible, I can see the results in just 2 weeks. Don't forget to exercise properly when you take this product.

A title for my review
Well, what can I say. It's a well-priced whey protein powder. It's not going to work any miracles, but it provides some nourishment.

It's been my experience that whey protein isn't as good as protein blends, but hey that's just what works for me.

Oh, and this sometimes gives me cramps and gas if I drink it on a completely empty stomach.

Fantastic Product
Many other protein products wreak all sorts of havoc on my digestive system, but this product is largely "invisible" to me in those terms. However, it is very effective in enabling lean muscle health and increasing mass, assuming you put in the work. I hightly recommend this product.

Tastes fine, almost no sugar
Bought a 2-pound "tub" to try it out before I commit to a 5 or 10-pound. Most of the time I mix it with water, sometimes with milk, either way this tastes just fine.

It's not nearly as sweet as some other products, which could be a pro or a con depending on your tastes.

Great book, Time for an Update!
I work at a large and well-revered health food store in San Francisco. This is my go-to book not only for myself but also for customers. An easy to read lay-out this book covers a lot and supports its claims with clinical-based research, which is a bit of a rarity in the "this cures, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, aids, herpes" supplement world. As other reviewers have mentioned he goes into detail in terms of bioavailability, dosage, toxicity, etc. Really my only complaint is that this book is a bit dated at this point and there is undoubtedly new information to update this book. Dr. Murray if you're reading, please consider a revised and updated version!

Steer clear of it. Inaccurate advice.
I've had this book for many years, along with many other books on nutrition, health, and medicine. These topics have been an interest of mine for decades, and I keep up with the latest research and information. I just flipped through this book again today, and was dismayed to find that much of its advice is very inaccurate and out of date. If you didn't know better and followed its advice, you'd remain deficient in many nutrients. Its dosage recommendations for numerous nutrients are WAY too low - vitamins D and C being two examples. Don't even bother reading this book. Find something more up to date and accurate.

Very informational
I just recently took a Nutrition class towards my degree and this book was recommended to use to complete one of our homework assignments. Of course every student tried to check it out of the library and there was not enough available. I bit the bullet and bought it just to get my assignment done. My class is over and I still use this book. It tells you everything you need to know. The vitamin deficiency signs and symptoms, dosage ranges, safety issues, interactions with other vitamins/medications and of course the benefits. Very informational!

Incomplete out of date
I got this book as it is part of a course I am taking. Has nothing on medicinal mushrooms which has more nutrients than most herbs or plants. Incomplete would not purchase if not required.
