Disappointed SOME MORE
The price is great but the quality is not. I bought two of these. I assembled one and someone else assembled the other. They look practically identical, with the drawer slanted in the same direction. AND, I bought the matching dresser, and the drawers slant in the same direction.

Nice little nightstand
I purchased this nightstand after reading the reviews and I have to say that for me, it was perfect. Not only an unbelievable price, but it was very easy to assemble, it is very sturdy and it looks great! I have no problems with this product. Please carefully read the instructions and follow them directly -- the nightstand is very very nice! Highly recommended!

Simple to put together just time consuming - should work out fine with low usage

Poor Quality
Disappointed with the quality. Does not feel like a solid piece at all, annoying to assemble, and the drawer does not sit inside without being slightly crooked. Good price, but I'd spring a bit more and buy something that is more usable.

Looks nice
I like my headboard it was fairly easy to assemble my husband did have to make a small alteration but it was not a big deal. The only thing I wished different is the product description. I'm not one for inches and measuring just tell me what size bed it accomadates queen, king, full, twin would have been much easier and I would have purchased sooner if I wasn't second guessing measurement.

Looks nice in picture...only in pictures
This headboard looked awesome on the website, but upon arrival you'll realize what cheap and flimsy materials it is made of. I chanced putting it together, because I figured it would have been more of a nuisance to send it back. I never got it completely assembled because one of two longer screws included with the set basically stripped itself out of the leg, splitting the leg in two in the process (I would liken the legs construction to a slightly more rigid cardboard). I guess you really do get what you pay for.

Pleased.
I recently purchased this for my son, I was able to put it together within an hour by myself. There were no scratches or problems with assembly, Instructions were very clear to me(a female). The bed looks beautiful in his room. For the price this adds a nice touch to any room.

Great price and great product
I purchased the headboard and one of the night stands for my wife for Christmas. It looks really good in our bedroom and the price couldn't be beat. We are a younger couple just starting out and it added a lot to our bedroom. I would recommend this product to any young adult or couple just starting out.

No mattress included - RE: South Shore Furniture Cosmos Collection Twin Mates Bed, Black Onyx and Charcoal
We bought this "bed" for our 3 year old because our 1 1/2 year old was ready to transition from the crib to the toddler bed. We searched everywhere for a bed that was both good with our budget and sturdy. We had chosen a different bed, but it required that we buy a mattress separately. So we looked again and looked at this bed again. It never said that there wasn't a mattress included. We also looked at all of the customer reviews and none of them mentioned that the mattress had to be bought separately either. So our assumption was that the mattress came with the bed. When the "bed" arrived in the mail, we were happy with how well it was packed and shipped. There was only 1 dent, but it didn't effect the parts at all. Very impressed with that, especially because nearly every package we've received from multiple sellers and companies have been dented.
It was very easy to assemble and only took a couple of hours. It looks very sturdy and our daughter loves it. The drawers are not snug as other buyers have said. You just have to make sure the drawer runners are completely flush with the drawer.
We were irritated that the bed didn't come with a mattress as we had assumed. We contacted Amazon because of this to see if they could compensate us at least a little bit for our trouble and their false advertisement. They refused to compensate us, but promised that they would correct the product description. This is how it read to us when we bought it: "This Shaker-style twin bed coordinates with many home decors. Crafted of engineered composite wood panels that carry the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, the bed is designed for durability and eco friendliness. Simple yet distinct brushed nickel handles and a stylized decorative kickplate add decorative finishing touches. Three built-in drawers add useful bedside storage. For coordinating furniture pieces, see the entire South Shore Cosmos collection, as well other South Shore collections in like colors. Each piece is sold separately. The mate's bed box is covered by a 5-year warranty on parts and materials. Like all South Shore Mate's Beds, the weight capacity is 500 pounds. Some easy assembly is required on arrival. Overall, the bed measures 76-1/4 inches long by 40-1/4 inches wide by 13-3/4 inches high."
Note the part that it talks about the "collection". It says right after it that "each piece is sold separately". We took this to mean that each part of the COLLECTION was sold separately, not that each piece of the BED was sold separately. Amazon assured us that it means that the mattress is not included. Hope they correct that so no one else is tricked by their words. We don't agree with no compensation for their error, but at least other people won't make that mistake if they are reading the customer reviews. Even if you do your research, they like to trick you with their catch 22s.

Great Bed for the Price
Bed arrived in great condition, no major damage or issues. It was relatively easy to put together. My daughter loves it. Very fashionable and functional, great storage drawers. Happy with purchase.

Great for the price
Remember when buying this product that you are spending much less than what you would pay for a higher end product. I bought this for my three year old and so far so good. Didn't take too long to put together if you know how to follow direction. I did it by myself in about 3 hours. Bed seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that the drawers are VERY snug. Almost difficult to pull out. Fortunately I use them to store things that my son doesn't need access too. He cannot open the drawers by himself. He is a tough 3 year old and they fit too snug for him to pull out. The bed looks really nice and a big perk is the space saving drawers and the fact that you don't need a box spring for the mattress. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a child and intends on the child taking the bed with them when they move out. I do not recommend using this bed for a guest room that adults would be sleeping in.

Pretty good bed for the price
I got this Twin Bed two weeks ago for my son. It took about hour and a half to assemble it and is pretty straight forward. Drawers fit pretty nicely as well. This bed is pretty good for its price.

Excellent Value!!!
I purchased this for my 10 yr. old son. We chose this bed because of the 3 drawers and the contemporary look. The unit allows you to take advantage of space that is normally lost or unusable with a traditional bed. Assembly was pretty straight forward and didn't take too long. Overall, I was pretty impressed with the build quality, but only time will prove its durability. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to save space, as well as update the look of their room at the same time.

bad shipping
well when it got here some of it was broke and i order new parts well they got here one part was drill wrong so i gave up and just drill my own holes

Okay for the price
Instructions were not as clear as i thought they should be.
Resulted in me, my boyfriend and dad arguing about what the diagram really means. (We were all wrong)
The dresser leans to whatever side the wind blows. We had to add screws just to keep it together. I have had the completed the dresser for a week now and still haven't put any clothes in it for fear or it collapsing.

nice look, definitely need more than one person to put together
nice chocolate drawer that can give any room an elegant feel. it was a nightmare to put together because i decided to do it myself. the instructions suggest calling a friend to help lol. nice size for an affordable price. I actually purchased the platform chocolate bed also.

Time consuming, and not very sturdy
THis is similar to the armoire I purchased. It didn't have any scratches or nicks of any kind. It took forever to put together, and I cannot get one of the drawers to push in all th way. It sticks out about an inch on one side. It's really weird, because the rest of them are fine. Not very sturdy, but it looks really nice. It will suffice for 2-3 years, hopefully!

Very nice!
We ordered this furniture for my son's room. It took quite a while to put together b/c after reading all the reviews we decided to reinforce each drawer with wood glue to ensure the drawers stay secure. The finished product is great and we are very happy with how nice it looks. We also ordered the matching headboard and dresser!

I ordered all of the Melissa and Doug furniture for my nieces. It is so very cute and pretty and detailed. I would buy this again. Also, I think that it is as sturdy as any small, detailed item could be. Also, it is the best priced doll furniture I've found.

Great set, a must for a great looking bedroom to add to Victorian Doll House
We purchased this set with the Victorian Doll house this Xmas for our daughter. As with the entire Melissa and Doug collection, this bedroom set is beautiful and well-made. It is very life-like and quite sturdy for small furniture. The only issue is that drawers do fall easily.

My daughter loves this set! and we are happy too of the purchase.

Bedroom Furniture
These sets of furniture are adorable and work well with the Victorian dollhouse. The only hold up was that the wardrobe was stuck shut. My husband was able to get it to open but it sticks a lot. This really isn't much of a problem for our daughter (5 years) though, as she loves it anyway. Very realistic and lots of fun to play with!

Dollhouse for Christmas gift.
I purchased this doll house for my grandaughter for Christmas, this dollhouse was beautiful she was so excited. My husband was really impressed with the directions on how to put it all together, like I said before it was beautiful, I don't know who was more excited me or my grandaughter. A little small but works great
I bought this after searching craigslist and all other sorts of places for a decently priced mini dresser. It took me maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours by myself one evening to put this thing together. Wasn't too difficult. Some parts of the instructions weren't as clear as they could have been but things got sorted out. I will say that this is a bit smaller than I expected and hoped but it isn't 'tiny'. The only other thing is that there is a strong smell of cedar on all my close now after they've been in the drawers for more than a couple days but I'm sure that's an age old problem that could be fixed with some sort of odor-control agent. Definitely would recommend if you're on a budget and short on space.

Nice drawers

Nice dresser.
The dresser was a little overwhelming to me to put together by myself so after taking out all of the parts (which are many) I left it sitting in my room unassembled until my brother came over and helped me put it together. If you're assembly shy than you'll need to have someone who enjoys putting this kind of stuff together. It was a little more complicated than I had antisipated but my brother put it together with a breeze. No problems whatsoever. And after he was finished, it looks fantastic and works great.

VERY HAPPY!
I'm a woman and I put 2 of these together by myself with no problem. I put them together at the same time which was so much easier. The most time consuming part is putting the drawers together. I am not someone who usually follows directions really well I get really frustrated and I didn't have a hard time following these I thought they were pretty clear.

Looks nice, but poor quality
The instructions aren't great and the wood is of poor quality. I had a piece of one of the drawers break off during assembly. It is pretty good sized and looks nice, but I don't think I'll be purchasing another one. I guess I shouldn't have expected too much for the price.

Forget something?
Would have been REALLLLLLYYYYYY nice to have received assembly instructions for the item i waited 10 days for. How the company was able to manage the 300 bolts, screws, nuts, and nails but completely bypass putting in the instructions is beyond me. Not to mention, it says QUICK & EASY assembly....ha! Quick & easy means less than an hour and even an idiot could do it....funny how every review i've read (from the people who actually GOT their instructions) said it took them 2 hours and 2 people. Anywho....I now have to call and request my instructions, wait the 2-3 days for them to arrive, and it will be THEN that I will actually be able to put this d@mn thing together to see how it looks! Goody!

Although I read bad reviews about this dresser, I ordered anyway because the picture was so nice. I'm slightly happy with my purchase because the price is inexpensive. However, all of the drawers are slanted. I followed the assembly instructions exactly, and it looks sloppy. Also, there were many chips and bent corners, as though the board had been dropped. If I had known it would look like this, I would have spent a little more for a better dresser. I also bought two matching bed stands and the drawers slant in the same direction.

Great dresser.
I couldn't wait to get this, but I wasn't at all looking forward to putting it together. It wasn't really hard to put together, but it took a good 3 or 4 hours of steady work. Certain points in the process really needed two people to hold and keep the thing together. After it was together I love it. Its just great and glides open every time. We'll see how it is after a few months of use.

Cheaply made
This is probably the cheapest made dresser that I have ever put together, and I have put together quite a few. If you are not planning to use it very much it might be ok, just beware that it is very flimsy and poor quality.

Easy to setup
Good product, would have preferred a more solid back. Easy to setup, did it all by myself in about 2 hours or less.

Poor Directions
All the reviews are correct. Read all of them before you decide to buy the bed. I think the directions are horrible. Any warning you are given as you read each review is 100% correct. It's sturdy, I'll give it that, and it is cute. All in all I am pleased with it. It will do for now.

You get what you pay for...in a good way.
After reading several reviews, I was prepared for the worst. Luckily, I didn't experience any missing supplies, broken pieces, shredded packaging, or anything of the sort. The bed feels sturdy and looks nice, just as promised. I bought this bed online for $100, and its exactly what I expected.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

My only negatives were...
(1) shipping - the box is obviously >100 lbs, so please be prepared to help the delivery driver lug this long, heavy package to your door. Its heavy!

(2)construction - most of the pieces seem sturdy, and the bed arrived with only a few minor blemished in the finish..none too exciting to mention on here. The manuf. could find a better way to attach the mouldings though - the process of putting in more than a dozen screws from the underside of the platform bed was exhausting. All in all, I put the bed together in about an hour.

good product
This bed frame is very pretty. It is sturdy and seems like it will last us a long time. I have to say that putting it together was a HASSLE. me and my husband worked at this for about two hours, and it just wouldnt line up. maybe its just us, but it gave us heck. it really did. we almost gave up and put our mattress on the floor. but the finished product looks very nice. i am happy with it. i would recommend having clamps or painters tape to help keep it in place. good instructions though. beware the weight as well! very heavy, the ups guy was really unhappy with it.
