Works Good in the Bathroom
This fan was purchased specifically for our unvented bathroom and performs quite well. It evaporates moisture quickly from the walls and tub area, which will help to prevent mildew. The installation was relatively easy. The white color looks good. Also, you can't beat the price. The reason for the 3 star rating is that currently the fan is somewhat noisy. There is a procedure to do some stuff that I have not done yet, so if that works I would change the rating to 4 or 5 stars.

Petite Ceiling Fan, 30-inch, Westinghouse
Fan is great for a small room or hallway. I have it in the hallway. It helps a lot in circulating the cold air from the air conditioner into the hallway and adjacent small bedroom. This fan replaced the exact same I previously had and remained good for about 14 years. Price was excellent and I was happy to find a replacement fan for my old fan. I like the light which is perfect for a night light in the hallway. Fans of this size are diffficult to find and I was happy to find it at a good price on Amazon. Supplier was great.

Replaced the Same Old One
I found the existing ceiling fan blades stuck with dust and yellowish color.
I tried to find the exact one, but to no vail.
Harbor Breeze's 30' ceiling fan has similar blades but very light and smaller in width.
I found this exact replacement in Amazon.
This item will be a good choice in small kitchen or bedroom.
Even it is 30' petite, this fan generates the ample air flow because fan blades are
a little wider, which looks better in a overall shape.

Beware! Incorrect Description
Does NOT use standard base bulbs! I was disappointed because I have looked all over for a lighted ceiling fan that takes standard base bulbs so I can use the energy savers that provide much brighter light at lower wattage. This one uses candelabra base bulbs which are expensive to replace so I returned it. Wish I had read the existing "Reviews" because I could have saved myself the trouble. Amazon must not use the information they gather on the "Reason for Return" portion of their return form because the description has remained incorrect since July of 2007 based on the date of Brian Seilski's review. The "Technical Details" have still not been corrected 3 years later!

what u pay is what u get
Item arrived in time. Is not a bad buy for the money. Pretty easy to put together. Nice looks. Only 2 things I can complain about. One of the glasses came broken in pieces. Amazon had to send another fan so I can take a good glass out of the box and return the second fan back. They paid for shipping. They couldn't just replace the glass. Well, in the end it worked out w/o too many head aches. The Amazon customer service was very nice and efficient in solving the problem. Second complain I have, it's a bit noisy on the low speed when it's quiet in the house, during the night. It has something to do with the glasses. When I touch the glasses and hold them firm, the noise stops. Not a very big deal, I can sleep well anyway. Overall, I'm happy with what I got for the money I paid.

Great product for the price
I purchased three of these fans for my kid's rooms in our new home. I replaced the standard nickel finish lights that came with the house. These fans look great. They provide more than enough air for all of the rooms (and one is rather large). As far as the bulbs are concerned, the small bulbs work fine. I use 40 watt not 60. Three 40 watt bulbs provides 120 watts of light which is more than enough. My only complaint is that the white side of the blades look funky so I used the wood side in all the rooms. These fans may not be the best but to get three for under $140...you just can't beat that!

Why pay more?
This fan is the whole enchilada. Very easy to install and very quiet also. A faint hum as with any fan but no rattles or clicking noises. For small to medium size rooms, you won't find a better fan. Candleabra bulbs are not an issue nor is the airflow. Why on earth you would pay more for a fan is beyond me, as this one totally fits the bill. Seriously.

A Winner
This fan works exactly as advertised. It is quiet, unobtrusive, efficient and effective. However, because of the reviews on this site, I bought a no-name wireless remote from Lowe's, and it works fine.

Great fan and attractive
I've suffered with a hot kitchen for years but thought that I couldn't have a fan because of the low ceiling. However, this one hugs the ceiling so it isn't a problem and I'm now comfortable preparing meals.

Great Fan!
The Hunter #23866 Lowprofile III (4 blade) ceiling fan is great. It is very quiet and has nice clean lines. I recommend it highly.

Great Investment
Hunter fans cost quite a bit more than what you'd pay for fans from a competing brand. This is a perfect example though of getting what you pay for. Fan install is in my opinion a bit more complicated than a normal fan install. Unless you are handy with tools I'd recommend getting help.

The product is elegant looking and sturdy. The part that amazes me the most is how quiet the fan is. If you take the time and install the fan properly and balance it you will be pleased with the lack of noise. Turned up to the highest setting all you hear is the sound of the blades moving through the air. On the mid and lowest setting you really hear nothing. It really is whisper quiet.

This fan is ideal for 8 foot ceilings and can easily support a light kit attachment if you were to ever need that addition in the future. I would highly recommend a three speed wall switch for this fan which will make the need to use the cord obsolete.

Spend the extra money and get this fan. Get it installed by a knowledgeable installer if possible. You will not be disappointed with the investment you have made in your home.

Just ok
The fan works ok. The low profile part is great. Would be very happy with it if it didn't have an annoying hum on low speed. Have an old Hunter fan in the dining room and it is extremely quiet. Was hoping for the same.

INCREDIBLE
We have an old 3-level townhouse with very low ceilings. Even though we recently purchased a new Trane air conditioning unit, the top floor remained warm. While renovating the hallway, we discovered a ceiling fan would be optimal in helping to circulate the air on the entire floor.

Our first purchase was the Hampton "Andross" fan from Home Depot. My husband, who is very gifted with carpentry and electrical installs, worked for hours trying to balance the blades and increase air flow. We lived with this fan for one week hoping it would get better but it didn't. Horrible fan. Noisy, wobbly, and no moving air. The price was cheap and that's the product we got. Returned it.

THIS MINKA FAN IS INCREDIBLE! Easy install. No blade balancing needed. Zero noise. It really moves the air! Perfect for the hallway. Noticeably helps to keep the top floor cooler. Works as a great companion to the air conditioner.

you get what you pay for
we searched high and low for a ceiling hugger fan that was modern in style, and not chintzy looking. this was it. a family member who is an electrician installed it for us, and was impressed at the ease of installation and the overall quality of the product.

it is completely silent on all but the highest setting, and even that only produces the slightest whirring sound. it is circulating the air wonderfully in our master bedroom, and looks beautiful doing it. we couldn't be happier.

Easy to install and works well.
Most of it is already put together and so installing it was very easy. Without any experience hanging a fan, it took me much less than one hour from start to finish. It has been working very well for our space and makes no noise, even at lower speeds where some cheaper fans can have a pronounced hum.

Great Fan
About a year ago we purchased two Minka Aire fans. This Concept II and the George Kovacs Cirque fan. They were very easy to install and we have had no problems with them at all. They work great, they are quiet, and the designs are fantastic. I would recommend this fan. I am going to be buying 3 more for our bedrooms. The Concept II is great in rooms with lower ceilings.

Easy to install, works as advertised
Our fan just arrived today. After unpacking and reading the instructions and checking all the parts, I finally realized all the wiring was already hooked up in the unit and all I had to do was wire it to the ceiling mount and attach the hub, light, and blades. It was easy but the instructions were confusing because they talked a lot about things that were already completed. Once I realized that, I had it installed in 10 minutes. Quiet, looks good, and easy to install
The last fan we put in was an extended drama of trips to the home supply store and frustration. Fans are not designed for 1920s plaster and lath. So this time, we ordered the fans (which required low clearance, ceiling mount, and an unobtrusive design), AND hired a handyman. When he arrived, he commented on the weight and indicated you never knew about installation time with fans - it could be 30 parts or just a few. These went up in a snap and he was impressed with the quick installation, as were we.
All is functioning well through many recent heatwaves, where the fans are on for days at a time. Whisper quiet, too.

Simple, neutral fan
Looks pretty much like I expected it to look. It's completely silent and only looks a bit shaky on the highest setting (this shakiness is something I feel like I see on every ceiling fan). Light isn't super bright, but I guess I could swap out the bulb if I cared more (which I don't). I've recommended it to friends already. I know it's a bit larger than is recommended for a room of my size, but it doesn't feel like it overpowers the room at all, actually.

nice looking but doesn't move a whole lot of air
I have had this fan for 5 years now and was never happy with the air movement--I have it in a small bedroom but it just doesn't do the trick. At about year 4 I had lots of problems with the remote--could never change the direction of airflow and it always seemed to revert back to the wrong direction. Year 5 the fan stopped working and although the motor has a lifetime warranty I was happy to have an excuse to replace it. If you like a lot of air movement I think a 5blade fan might be better

Outstanding Quality; Easiest Fan To Install Ever!!!
The quality of this fan is as good or better than any fan I've ever owned. I just put one up in my daughter's bedroom, and after installation of the baseplate I was done in less than 10 minutes. They've even made installation easier by pre-installing the remote control's receiver at the factory (although they haven't updated the instruction booklet to reflect this yet). All in all - unlike previous fan installation experiences - I actually ENJOYED putting this fan up!!! It looks great and works great - I couldn't be more pleased. I'm buying three more to replace the rest of the small fans in my house - the Minka-Aire F518-WH is that good.

Reasonable value
Surprising quality, given the price. Yes, the bulbs have non-standard, candelabra bases. It's quiet, easy to install and quick to assemble. It was actually more work to get the old fan out than it was to mount this one. All in all a great value when compared to other fans with similar features.

Good looking...but a little flimsy and VERY NOISY
When this fan first went up, I was very happy. Even though it didn't fit very snugly to the ceiling (not flush, the metal base hangs about 1/2 an inch) it was quiet and looks classy. I've only had it installed 6 weeks now and the motor gives off this LOUD hum that comes from cheap electric motors. In the past, my fans have made most of their noise from swinging back and forth, and that's what I was worried about...but now I know that cheap motors can be very noisy even if they don't swing from being imbalanced. It really bothers me because it's in my bedroom...if you're sensitive to noises while you sleep, you may want to spend a little more and get a higher quality fan.

Great looking modern fan
This fan is amazing. It was a breeze to put together and install. It looks amazing and functions well. I ended placing a dimmer on the switch board for different speeds because the one that is supplied is huge and bulky and unattractive. This was our only complaint since we have a mimimalistic decor on our townhouse. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for an inexpensive, modern, ultra-chic fan for any modern/contemporary decor.

I'm a big fan of this big fan
The fan looks and works great, fitting in perfectly with out contemporary decor in our newly remodeled home. My only complaint is the light green wall controller. I'm going to try to find one that isn't quite as large and in a color that matches our walls.

Great Buy! I love this!
This is just what I wanted: it makes a huge amount of air, is sleek and even elegant, makes little noise (on high, sounds like a MASH helicopter in the distance that only Radar could hear). I didn't use the control; it worked with my present control. I keep it on all day!

Proper Industrial design
Design is the primary reason I got these. We have 6 of them in our place. For some reason most fan designs either look like they came from Louis the 16th's estate or some kind of airplane toy. The speeds they reach are dangerous so they have to be installed 10ft off the floor and they do not reverse directions. Control gives you five set speeds and you can get a higher amperage controller to control multiple fans.

Great Fan at a Great Price
Bought 2 of these fans for the house we are building. I looked high and low for a modern fan that was reasonably priced and was so happy to find this one. Our electrician was able to hard wire the fan into a High Medium Low wall switch (there are 5 speeds, but we decided we only needed these 3). The LARGE aqua blue control assembly that came with the fan was (in my opinion) UGLY so I was very happy to see we didn't have to use it. Everyone who has seen the fan thinks it cost much more than we paid for it. The finish is not as dull looking as the picture shows it looks shinier than brushed nickel but less so than polished chrome. It does have a slight Helicopter Chop sound while running at the High setting - but we think it adds to the flavor of the look.

Holy freaking adorable
We just decorated the kid's bedroom in all baseball decor. This fan was the creme de la creme to the final touch. It is seriously adorable. My husband mounted it himself and initially thought something was wrong with the wiring because the light would not go on. I had read this in some of the other reviews too so I was worried that it was a fabrication fault with the fan. BUT, he realized that the wire connecting the pull chord to the fan mount to operate the light was disconnected. He is not sure if it came like that or if he accidentally did that, but he reconnected it and the light works fine. The whole assembly is awesome. Very happy.

Nice Fan
This fan looks very good in my boys' room. Putting it together took little figuring out since instructions weren't very good. And, was little disappointed that it didn't come with pull chain extensions; need to find out if that's way it's suppose to be or my fan was just missing it. But overall, I like the way this fan looks and performs.

Old but still running strong...
My fan didn't come from Amazon, it came from Lowes. I had just moved at the age of 8 into a new home and a new bedroom in 2002. My room had a low quality light and I wanted a ceiling fan. For years I always had an eye for the baseball fan as a young child, so it was my choice. My grandfather installed it and it was flawless. As any mischievous child, I tied action figures to the blades and watched them spin around and around. The fan took alot of abuse. Fast forward eight years. It's 2010 now, that fan still hangs above my room. Usually when it's on medium speed, it rattles and makes sound. It's dusty and worn, the pull chain doesn't always work, but it's still in good shape. It has served me eight long years and probably could serve eight more provided it isn't abused. I read other reviews that say this fan has errors. I believe it is user error in installation, maybe. All I can say is if you aren't sure you can do it, get a professional.

Very nice!
We ordered this fan for our two and a half yr.old and he absolutely loves it! I would recommend this product! the bulb that came with it did break when we tried to put it in but no biggie. We just bought another one. Very nice for the price! Great for boys rooms or a game room!

It's cute. It's also low quality.
This looks very similar on the ceiling as it does in the photo; however, the quality of the parts, the clarity of the instructions, and the time it takes to balance it are definitely sub-par. I probably would not buy again, but then, where else can you find a baseball fan?

2006 Wheel Rim
We are very satisfied with the wheel rim and save a lot of money. My husband who is not computer savvy and wanted to get the rim from the car dealership. He was afraid that the rim would not match the others, we have a convert to buying items on the internet.

Not so sure
I bought this remote and, while initially, it worked fine. It suddenly stopped working and I still haven't figured out why. So for now, it's just a chunky little decorative piece on a table.

Sensor too big
The part of the remote that fits up in the cieling under the cieling box cover is way too big...It just looks like with today's
technology this sensor should be about half the size especially in an aftermarket product where there are so many different size's
of fans...Just be careful of what you order and don't get one that's too big if you can posibly help it.

Great unit, however change not documented
I have installed about 4 of these units. All have worked without issue, no magical lights off/on like others have reported. Between this and the Hampton Bay unit, this one is smallest. At times,I have had to mount it outside the housing on top of the motor and run the wires back into the unit because the housing is small. Not the Remote's fault
Anyways, this most recent installation I was banging my head against the wall because once installed (powered by light switch)and power applied, the light fixture of the fan is supposed to turn on (like a normal light). This is the case for all my other units.
This one did not do that. Once power was on, the remote behaved as expected, but no auto light-on. I thought maybe the unit was faulty, bought another one, same deal. Looked at the instructions for any change in the operation, nope, light was still supposed to turn on once power is applied to the remote unit.
I called customer support and talked to a lady and she said .. "oh yeah, the EPA and some other agency decided that that feature was no longer allowed for energy conservation reasons". I kindly reminded her the docs still said it did that. Wasted a lot of my time. Oh well.
Other than that, solid product, just remember to set the dip switches if you have other units before your button up the fan.

VERY DISSATISIFIED WITH SERVICE
I received the remote immediately and then did not receive the ceiling fan after its estimated delivery date passed. After sending e-mails with no response, I received an e-mail from Amazon stating that the fan was out-of-stock. Now I am stuck with a remote that I can't use. I will never make another large purchase again.

WORKS GREAT!
Unlike most of the other reviews it works perfectly for me. No random light or fan coming on. With the remote on the holder over the existing wall switch you just hit the large gray button to turn the light on or off when you enter or exit the room. I have mine in the bedroom and I grab the remote when I go to bed to control the light or fan without getting up. Love it.

The remote comes with a built in ghost...
Got the remote installed without any major problems BUT the light randomly turns on and off as does the fan (though not as much). Have seen multiple reviews documenting similar problems. At least ours isn't in the bedroom which would be much, much worse. Do not buy this remote!

Poor Product
I had 2 fans Hunter fans installed and also had this remote installed on both. One of the remote units burned out within about 2 years, and of course I had lost the receipt, so I couldn't get a replacement. Now I just bought a new Park Hill fan with a remote unit. I find out that the remote that came with the fan doesn't allow you to use the light switch to turn on the light, you can only use the remote. That means walking in to a dark room and searching for the remote, not to mention having a light and fan switch on the wall that don't do anything anymore. I called Hunter (twice) to find out if I could replace the integral fan remote with the same remote that I have in the other two fans, because they both work with the light switch on the wall. I was told that all the remotes have been redesigned so that they won't work from the wall switch anymore. I told the first customer service person I didn't believe her, so she put me back on hold for 20 minutes until another drone could give me the same answer. I asked why they would change something that worked, to something that didn't work, and her answer was, "it was an engineering decision". That means that they have been having so much trouble with this worthless remote that they had to change it to try and keep marketing it. My advice is, if you do buy a fan, don't use a remote. They will be nothing but trouble.
