Replacement Know
Works as a great replacement to increase the temperature you can use on Lodge dutch ovens.

Stainless Steel knob should be standard
This knob should be standard on ALL LeCreuset cookware. It doesn't make sense to have cast iron that is capable of taking 500 degree heat with a plastic knob that can't.

Handles hot temps
This handle allows the use of the entire LeCreuset pot and cover to be used in a very hot oeven. It works perfectly.

Le Creuset metal knob for stock pot
the rubber knob is just the worst design for a wonderful pot. Why this company thought they should sell a rubber handle that cannot by their own product information handle more than 375 degree oven temp is beyond me. The metal knob fit perfectly and the screw used to tighten it to the lid was the correct size and worked great. (other reviews of this know replacement had problems with the screw)

Perfect replacement
My original knob cracked after 15 years of hard use. This is an identical knob when compared to the original.

Solid Spatulas
I was pleasantly surprised to find that these spatulas are a lot sturdier than my previous (generic) ones.

Le Creuset Spatula Set
This is a great set of spatulas. There is a nice verity of sizes and the handles are very nice. Looks great in the kitchen too.

Worse than cheaper alternatives
I've had an equivalent set of Le Creseut spatulas for several years, in orange. I have thrown them out and replaced them with better, cheaper alternatives.

While the Le Creuset spatulas might have been nice 2 decades ago, now they offer no advantage.

PROBLEMS:

* The silicon is too soft. Only the small spoon-shaped one is ok. The others are all a bit too soft to be any real use for cooking or stirring anything other than something light like eggwhites. For example, try to scoop up some stew in the largest one, and the spoon will flop over, inverting.

* The silicon can discolor. If you leave the silicoln on the edge of a hot pan for a while, it can discolor.

* The wood is softer than typical hardwoods for a cheap wooden spoon. After using a spatula, typically you will whack it on the edge of a pot to shake off excess. This can be done hundreds of times with a wooden spoon. But with the Le Creusets, the wood is getting broken down and fuzzy and bits of wood fall into my food.

* The system of removable sticks is nonideal. The biggest problem is that in practice, you may not want to take apart your spatulas every time you clean. As a result, the wood can develop off smells. Further, over time, sometimes the head gets loose around the wood, making them prone to fall off.

All in all, there are plenty of high-temperature, one-piece spatulas available now which are a better buy, and which I have replaced my Le Creuset set with.

Do the 7 pieces refer to how badly damaged it is?
I finally received the utensil holder after waiting over a month and the item was very badly damaged. It did not come with any utensils, the only pieces it came with were the broken pieces.

It looks to be a nice item if it comes intact and with the other items.

Very best cooking utensils I have ever had. So convenient for washing - just take the red rubber things off and put in washer. Now my kids won't destroy my pans when they cook.

Works fine
So glad I finally ordered it - much safer than bringing a dish towel that close to burners like I was before! It matches my blue Le Creuset perfectly.

Only lasted a couple of weeks
I think the rising peripheral heat from a gas stove top is too much for this handle cover. Mine is splitting in half after only a couple of weeks of use. I like the added safety of using the handle, but it's too expensive to replace every couple of weeks.

perfect handle
great handle cover.. i have a favorite skillet with metal handle that gets super hot.. now with this perfect fit cover it is a joy to use this pan again. this give a good grip and fits perfect , even on my slightly rounded handle. i recommend this handle over the green batali one..

Burnt the first time I used it
I was using it with my small wrought iron skillet and it was only on medium heat. When I put the sleeve on the handle I guess the sleeve touched a part of the pan and it partially melted. I thought it would be able to tollerate medium heat. It has an ugly burn mark now but is still functional.

perfect
I've tried other versions of silicone handles for my Le Creuset skillets and never will again. This had a perfect fit, very comfortable, and doesn't cheapen the look of the pan. I would recommend!

A wonnderful addition to my kitchen - and a great way to turn use of an everyday food product to something that both looks great on the table. The white looks classic and classy.

I Love it!
This honey pot may seem too small at first glance, it easily fits in your hand, however, it holds a LOT of honey in it and it is super cute as well! Its size makes it easy to keep on a counter without cluttering up the place and also easy to move from counter to table or wherever your cup of tea happens to be. the silicone dipper is also great, the wood handle doesn't make any scratchy noises on the pottery while the silicone lets the honey slide off without worry that you are going to have to scrub out the grooves at a later time to maintain efficiency {a problem with the old wooden ones in my opinion...but perhaps I am just being OCD}. I have decided to get one for all the honey lovers in my family! I prefer the yellow...nice and bright, but I like that it also comes in a classy white [perfect for those who don't like bright cheerful colors or whose kitchens would clash with yellow]. It also came well packaged and quickly.

Le Creuset Honey Pot

Very nice container for honey. It is very cute in my kitchen and blends in with all my other Le Creuset cookware. I like the dipper; it's not quite as messy as pouring from my "Bear" and the honey doesn't seem to stick to it after spreading. I would recommend to anyone who uses honey often...It's the most attractive one I've seen.

Le Creuset Honey Jar
This is a great little honey jar, if a bit pricey. I bought it mainly to go with my other Le Creuset kitchenware. The jar and lid are stoneware, and dishwasher safe. There is, as you'd expect, a notch in the lid for the dipper to poke through. The dipper is silicon with a wooden handle. (I can't see that the silicon makes any difference in honey dipping, but it is very cute and has the Le Creuset logo). Overall, this is exactly what I expected to receive when I placed the order.

Nice honey pot from Le creuset
It is the CUTEST honey pot I have ever seen - it's the perfect size to leave on a table or kitchen counter - and it is very practical . I usually put the pot in a microwave for a minute before use( yes, it is microwavable!), and honey comes out so easily. I have Le creuset canisters and butter crock, and this honey pot sits next to them on my kitchen counter .. and it looks just so adorable. Although my canisters & butter crock are in cherry red , this honey pot has the same gradualness of the color shades ( deeper color at the bottom) and they look so good together. Very satisfied with this honey pot.

Extremely hard to clean
I was excited to get this pan but I was disappointed pretty quickly. It is sooooo hard to clean! I did not expect this side effect from Le Creuset. Because of this issue I do not enjoy using it. Would not but again and can not recommend. Sorry Le Creuset.

A Great Product, Made in France
I bought this grill pan for those times when one cannot grill on the barbecue outside due to adverse weather. We actually have a George Foreman grill which works really well but is larger than this pan and requires an electrical connection. This Le Creuset grill pan is quicker and easier to use with results that are at least as good. It is beautifully finished and, with nicely formed ridges on the bottom of the pan, distributes heat evenly. I'm very satisfied.

Great grill pan
I really love this pan. Had it for a year or so. Lamb chops/burgers and buffalo burgers come out perfect. It is a little work to clean, but not bad for a grill pan. I heat up the pan a little and wipe it with paper towels before washing.

Low quality - might be an OPEN BOX item
I'm a fan of Le Creuset so I bought it from Amazon last week. But when I recieved it today through Fedex, I was really surprised.

There's nothing wrong with the shipping, the shipping package was - I took out the package of the pan and found on one side of the edge of the orange cardboard box was teared, someone sealed it by a piece of tape carelessly with dirt on the inner side. The pan itself was also not in a perfect condition, one of its "ears" was not coated completely and I can tell that was not a shipping problem. I guess someone else bought this pan and found the problem, returned it, then Amazon sold it to me. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe LC just shipped this flawed pan to Amazon directly with crappy packaging... If this is not an open box item, that means the quality control of Le Creuset may have big problems.

I'm printing the returning label now. I don't know why this happened. I have been shopping on Amazon for two years for most of my stuff but this is the first time I'm pissed off. Do double check it when you receive this pan!

Great grill pan!
I bought this grill pan for my husband and it gets used more than any other pan in our kitchen. With it being Le Creuset, you know and expect the high quality product. I was worried about the versatility of the pan, but we use it for everything. From grilling steaks, chicken, fish, and making grilled sandwiches - it works amazingly well. You can move seamlessly from the stove-top to the oven, making perfectly cooked meals.

It is a heavy cast iron pan and the bottom is not as pretty as it was when it was new due to our gas stove. We don't mind as that is superficial and does not affect the pans cooking ability. I know this pan will do a great job for years ahead - it is a tank!

Grows with you
I got a set of these from a cooking class and now use the bigger ones for making huge pots of homemade jam. My range is glass top, but no problems using these. I like the stability the mass of these pots naturally have, especially when frantically ladling out the last jars the pot stays put.

They are superb for pot roasts, and hold heat well thanks to all the cast iron. And unlike my other (non-enameled) iron, these don't need seasoning. You can also cook foods without imparting their odor / taste to the pot.

Recently, I have been reading a camping cookbook and several recipes call for a 'Dutch Oven'. I had no idea these covered pots were AKA Dutch Ovens. Apparently, one would prefer a non-enameled pot for an open fire or one of aluminum for backpacking, but having this pot allows for practice at home. I never thought of baking in a pot before, but that's what those books say to do. Pizza on the trail, courtesy the Dutch oven.

I have had mine for some time, and still learning how to use them : )

Unsurpassed for Low, Slow Cooking
Enameled cast iron is unsurpassed for low, slow cooking both in the oven and on the cook top. Cast iron retains heat better than any other type of pan. The advantage of enameled cast iron is that it's relatively non-stick and doesn't react with acidic ingredients like tomatoes. Yes, this Le Creuset dutch oven is heavy (though not as heavy as some other brands). And yes it needs proper care. Use only wood or plastic silicon implements. Always cool it down completely before rinsing. We use a very mild liquid dish detergent. Never, ever use anything abrasive. It may sound complicated but isn't. Take care of your Le Creuset and you should have a wonderful pan that lasts indefinitely. I read in a review of another Le Creuset product that the pans need seasoning. Not true!! Unlined cast iron pans need seasoning and sometimes re-seasoning. Enameled cast iron could be destroyed by seasoning.

Very happy with Le Creuset casr iron French oven. Versatile, cooks evenly, no need to constantly watch pot. Browns items well without burning. Can go from stove to oven to serving to fridge. Very satisfied with purchase. Highly recommend.

Exceeds even high expectations
The main thing I have to add about this beautiful piece is that it changes not just the outcomes of your cooking, but the actual cooking expeience. I've made soup, risotto, and veggies in the week I've had it, and it is a true pleasure to use. So much so, that I went and bought a 3 1/2 quart and a skillet (which was used to cook amazing seared tuna).

Very nice looking. Easy to clean. Requires no seasoning.
I already own two 6 quart cast-iron dutch ovens but I wanted a larger one. One of my cast-irons pots is a 100+ year old antique and one is new at $30.

I wanted (this was a luxury purchase) a larger dutch oven and something that would be a bit more attractive than the fairly ugly black cast-iron pot sitting on the stove.

What are the differences between an inexpensive non-enameled cast-iron dutch oven and the enameled Le Creuset that cost 10 times as much?

1. The Le Creuset requires no seasoning. A big initial time saver.

2. Easy to clean. When a non-oily stew boiled over in the oven (and baked on), the exterior cleaned up in seconds with a plastic brush. I was very surprised. I thought this was going to cost me hours in clean up time.

3. It's attractive. Due to limited storage, I leave it on the stove and it brightens up the room.

4. The Le Creuset is enameled. Even though it's fired at a much higher temperature than what other manufacturers use (in France, it's legal to fire enamel at much higher temperatures), it will eventually chip but it's nothing I'm worried about.

5. Cast-iron cookware require a lot of work to get them properly seasoned and now it cleans as easily as Teflon. Many people can't properly season cast-iron cookware which is why you often see cast-iron cookware at garage sales selling for pennies on the dollar.

6. While a cast-iron dutch oven would fit right at home on a cast-iron cook stove (which we had for quite a few years), it's incongruous on a modern stove.

7. The cast-iron dutch oven has no enamel -- it can never chip. One of my cast-iron dutch ovens is over 100 years old and will be in the same exact condition in the next hundred years. Will a Le Creuset be able to stand that test of time? The answer is yes. In Europe, they're passed down from generation to generation.

Once properly seasoned, the $30 (or even much less expensive) cast dutch oven performs just as well as the Le Creuset. We simply *wanted* a 7.5 quart enameled Le Creuset and we're satisfied with the product but it doesn't cook any better or worse than my other non-enameled cast iron cookware that costs 1/10th as much. In my particular case, both clean equally easily (but it was a nasty, bear of a job to get the cast-iron dutch oven nicely seasoned but I'll never do it again).

If I were to buy any additional enameled cookware, I would want the enamel to be fired at the much higher temperatures that Le Creuset uses. In other words, I wouldn't buy cheaper, inferior enamel cookware which is much more likely to chip or the cookware crack in half.

While Le Creuset cookware evokes the sense of uber snob appeal, I wish I listened to my wife years ago and bought this cookware instead of over $1000 (on a huge sale) of high-end no-stick Calphalon. Even with using wooden and plastic stirring utensils, the interiors are all scratched and the outside is hideously ugly and impossible to clean. They're now being stored and we're waiting for a garage sale to get rid of them.

Update May 28, 10: It's not in the Amazon listing, but there's a 9 quart and a 11 1/4 quart pot by Le Creuset. Had I known that I wouldn't have bought this size pot (but most people would find 11 1/4 way too heavy and big). I wanted a larger pot so that I can make enough for left-overs. I bought the 11 1/4 quart pot from W&S. It's huge, heavy and expensive but I can now freeze the left-overs for easy quick meals. Since the preparation for the meals takes as much time for a small pot or a giant pot, I can save some time.

Pot arrived quicker than expected, and is everything they advertised it to be.

Great looking, even heat distribution, sturdy as all get out and easy to clean.

What's not to like?

Good but not perfect
I was happy with the size but thought it would do a better job of preventing food from sticking to the bottom while cooking.

Loved it at first, but then....
This pot is cute beyond cute (I bought the dijon). Purchased about a year ago, it lasted a while ... but then ... the enamel started chipping off on the inside. And then it started chipping off on the outside. Even for only $39.99, you just don't expect cookware to behave like that, especially not from the Le Creuset brand (I own several cast iron Le Creuset pieces - they're fabulous). I wouldn't bother purchasing this steel piece - in fact, I'm on Amazon today to buy a new (quality) stock pot to replace it. You get what you pay for - lesson learned!

Good pot with serious drawback
When looking for a medium sized pot, I was surprised to see a Le Creuset option at this price range. Reviews were positive, so I purchased it. I used the pot happily for a month or two. One day while boiling water, I heard an odd crackling sound coming from the pot. I looked in, only to see that enamel chips were popping off the interior and a network of cracks formed in the finish. I'm not sure if it's a shoddy job on the enamel, a high output burner being too much for the pot, or if I somehow damaged it, but I wasn't going to use a pot that was shedding enamel into my food. Returned and bought a stainless steel pot.

It looks bigger in the picture - PERFECT size!
I was expecting something a bit bigger. But now that I have it - it's AWESOME. It's the perfect pot to do pasta for 2-3 people. Nice finish. Pretty little pot. :)
