poor design
Poor design- speakers fire up & down in relation to ipod or only one speaker fires at you at 90* rotation. No power lite so easy to forget its on, low volume and tinny at max input. OK for a quiet environment but even low background noise will wash it out. Keep looking- there are better front firing units here for about $10 more- very well worth spending the extra money.

very dissatisfied
The very first time I used this, I put the speaker in my pocket after turning off my ipod. A couple of hours later, I took the speaker out of my pocket, and the on/off switch had broken off. I could not be any less satisfied.

portable and nice sound
This speaker is very small and portable. And it fits to my mp3 and my husband's mp3 players as well. Sound is good. Recommended to my firends.

Don't bother if you have a Nano
In a word, these suck. The sound is not much louder than spillover from a really loud set of headphones. Not worth the money. Utter crap if you've got a Nano.

Perfect for cycling
Other reviews say that this is not loud enough but for me it's perfect! I wear it when I'm cycling so I can still hear my music AND the traffic around me. I put my iPod in an arm sleeve and put this on top. No problem. In fact I had a different brand last summer and it always slid out but this one is nice a snug in the adapter. My son has also used it to listen to his music when his headphones were MIA. It's not loud enough to bothers those around you but perfect when you're within a few feet. Love it!

Kensington International Travel Charger works!
Went to Italy, it worked and that's the best thing about this item. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, but this had all the necessary adapters and was easy to use. I wish the cord was a little longer, so I may look to replace that.

Traveled to Europe worked GREAT
This charger was a godsend on my recent trip to Germany. It was easy to use and worked perfectly.

Better than expected!
Working out great! Bought it for my 12y/o son who needed it to use his smokin' buds. He is having no problems with it. I bought 2 since they were inexpensive and everyone said they break. Still on the 1st one about 3 weeks out.

Nice iPod Remote
Purchased to use in the car. Works great. The only downside is the shape of the buttons. It is a little difficult to feel what you are pressing without looking. Would purchase again.

Nice idea, terrible quality
This iPod remote is a good idea: a control for your iPod touch that frees one from the awful earbuds that are included with the iPod. The design is actually quite good: it has a center button that controls the playing, advances, and backs up a track. Flanking it are volume up and down buttons. It is very easy to use by touch, and I have very big fingers and hands.
The problem is that the build quality is awful. I had it for less than a week and the plug broke. Not bent, not chipped, broke. As in snapped off. I don't treat my toys badly: I stuck the iPod in a large cargo pocket on my pants, all by itself, and that's it.
At least it was cheap.
I give two stars because for the 6 days it worked, it was terrific.

There's a reason it's on fire sale.
This was apparently an item that didn't work out for Griffin, given the deeply discounted, practically giveaway prices of recent chrome cases for various iPods. (I've received 2 freebies off of credit card points.) Perhaps it's better than no protection, and it does provide a few brief moments of amusement. At first, all you see is chrome (after a few days, scratched chrome) until the iPod is activated. Voila! The lighted iPod magically shines through the chrome.

But after the momentary diversion, the sense of metal enclosed in metal (actually, hard plastic) brings with it considerable dissatisfaction. Moreover, using the iPod while it's encased in this thing has a "distancing" effect on the owner, who no longer has quite the same convenience and responsiveness of a non-encased iPod.

Verdict: spend a little extra for the Belkin leather folio case (the one that opens like a book rather than the one that flips upward). Both you and your iPod will feel the better for it, and you'll find it's much easier to remove the iPod from the case (this Griffin device practically requires a thin nail file to wedge it apart once you've snapped the two halves together, which is simply inviting additional scratches). After a week, I simply tossed both of my chrome cases (but not before prying them open to save the iPods).

love it
I bought this case right before circuit city called it quit and i've loved it. it has a sleek look to it - it operates like a mirror when your ipod is not in use and your screen just comes right on when the ipod is playing. It is definitely durable. without it my ipod would've suffered some fatal injuries. Now to the stuff that overtime i found it irksome on this product: when you are in the sun, or whenever you take your ipod outside, your will barely see the screen due to reflection and all that. And if you are a video junkie who uses the ipod to watch everything, you won't appreciate the tinted pixels again as the result of the cover case. You can take the case off, but it's not all that easy. However, if you are one of those ppl who is actually looking for a PROTECTIVE casing for your ipod (and not one of those flimsy, too conservative kind of casing) this is one for you. My verdict is get it for the look and the durability and its actual purpose. oh ya you don't have to take off the case to connect your ipod. That's always a plus.

The best form factor iPod ever made
Now that mine is upgraded to a larger battery and a 32GB Compact Flash drive, this is the form factor iPod made.
It isn't physically to small or larger and very very sturdy, especially with the silicon case I have for it.
And with 32GB it has PLENTY of storage for music. I would buy another for a back up for when/if this one dies.

Tough as nails
I have owned one of these units for long enough to need a second battery. I would recommend to have the battery replaced professionally rather than trying to do it yourself (cost around $61.00). Unit has held up very well to the normal wear and tear (I would recommend a case, but they are hard to find now).

Not bad but if you can afford it go newer
I've had this product for four years and have had two of the problems mentioned.

After about 2 years it wouldn't hold a charge for more than 20 minutes like mentioned.

It won't play songs purchased on iTunes sometimes. Sometimes it will and sometimes it won't.

I just upgraded to an iPod Touch and LOVE IT! This one is much cheaper though and like another said get it new and be prepared for these problemes down the road. Otherwise it's a great player.

Could be better
The iPod mini isn't a bad little personal music player. Unfortunately, it isn't a good one, either. It has a few issues.

Most significantly, many people (including me) have had problems with the iPod suddenly refusing to play music purchased from the iTunes store. Apple is characteristically unsupportive. Be prepared for some potential frustration.

After a few months of use, the click wheel can get stuck. While many people love it, I would prefer some good old-fashioned buttons that have less of a tendency to clog up with the detritus of life.

Overall, it has a good sound and is a decent unit for the money.

Like Always, Apple made a Great Product
There is nothing that I could find wrong with the mini. This is for anyone who wants the classic first made mini. I loved it.

Happy with my 3rd Otterbox
This OtterBox is for my 3rd Gen Ipod touch. The other two were for my BB tour and BB curve. I'm very happy with the design of this box. My only complaint is that it took a little longer than expected to come than other products I ordered from Amazon. I think this is because it's in high demand. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the product and the technology that Amazon has ingrained in its site enabling me the ability to track my product status rom my mobile phone on the fly.

Bought this Otterbox for my son's iPod. It is perfect! It came promptly and as described by the seller and packaged wonderfully. The case allows for the needed protection without interfering with the use of the touch screen. I highly recommend this product to anyone with an iPod or iPhone for the added protection of an expensive device, especially if used by teens!

Best Case Ever
My only gripe with this case is it's incompatibility with most third party docks, extenders and port peripherals. Otherwise a solid, good-looking case. Would have been nice to have more color options.

Good Product
When I got the case I WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL AS TO WHETHER IT WAS GOING TO FIT OR BE FUNCTIONAL, but to my surprise it was actually really easy to install. (the fit was really tight so i didnt know if it was on correctly at first) It covered everything including where the charger goes which is left open in most cases. I ordered one for the other ipod in my household. Just wish they came in other colors but you cant beat the price.

Almost perfect
My iPod touch fits perfectly into this and protects it well. I don't have any problems accessing any of the buttons, and the screen protector acts as if it even isn't there. The only problem I had is the protecting protrusion at the bottom where the docking cable goes. I have a Sony docking speaker system and had to take the iPod completely out of this protective casing in order to fit it on the dock. Fixed that problem with a male/female extension cable, now I don't have to take it out of the case at all.

Good sound for a little guy!
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this. It does not charge my Ipod touch gen 3 (which I expected) but charges my husbands iphone. The sound is good, very clear, not tinny or distorted, but know if you get this that its not going to be super loud. I'd recommend use for the desk at work or maybe in a bedroom where you are not going to be blasting a favorite song. The volume just does not go that high. But it works fine for background music. Also, this thing is tiny! I was expecting a little bigger but it is so small its super portable. I could put this in my purse and take it with me. The design is great too, just a pretty black box, that you can pop open. very subtle, not obnoxious like some speakers. I like it, and we are keeping it!

great sounding system, easily portable
This unit is small, looks good and sounds very good. I looked at and listened to a lot of various small speakers this is the best combination I've found for portability and price. Sounds very good.

Nice little speaker system
Has decent sound especially with the surround button activated, not real loud but it is enough to enjoy the music on the patio. Going to take it to the Philippines and enjoy it at the many resorts that we are going to visit, it is small enough to take along and it charges the I-pod while I listen. Good product at a really fair price, I would highly recommend this to anyone. Also it will accept the I-pod touch with the protective covering on.

Little Big Horn
This is one of the most impressive products to hit the Hi-Fidelity sound industry (although it was not targeted for that market) in the past 50-80 years. For decades, the designers and reviewers of high-end loudspeakers have been touting Thiele/Small parameters as the only way to design and construct speakers and their relationship to a particular enclosure so they would faithfully reproduce bass and midrange tones.

But for this little fellow, Sharp uses a whole new technology that it licensed from TBI Audio Systems, Ltd., a small, minority-owned business in Atlanta, GA. You can see their products on this site at: BioLinks Audio DAD-1.

The Sharp i-Elegance music system employs ETL (Embedded Transmission Line) technology that essentially re-defines the High Definition Sound Standard. This little iPOD docking station has an embedded woofer operating in an enclosure volume of approximately .007 cu. ft. and produces clean bass below 100Hz at personal listenable volumes with only a mere 2 watts of power. The midrange and highs are produced by speakers less than 2 inches in diameter without breakup or compression. The port diameter for the subwoofer is a mere 7mm in diameter but you can actually feel the air coming from it when low bass is voiced. In fact, placing a finger over the port will immediately kill the bass so it sounds like most of the competing iPOD docking stations.

The bass produced by this product is absolutely unattainable with Thiele/Small parameters; and when I mentioned that on a couple of the blog sites that hi-fi enthusiasts and so-called audiophiles frequent, the response was incredible. Without any listening experience, it was quickly dismissed as being the same thing as headphones and no big deal. Well, anyone who has any idea what they're talking about cannot compare headphones (which are close-coupled to the ears) to any loudspeaker that interacts with the room acoustics to produce sound like the i-POD Elegance and all other speakers do.

Granted, it will not play loud enough to produce a room-filling sound that's necessary for a party environment; but its small footprint permits it to sit on a desk and produce quality computer sound unlike any computer speaker system out there. This product could have easily been marketed as the "Freedom" personal speaker system for, unlike headphones, it is perfectly suited for producing wonderful sound in the kitchen or at a bedside table while allowing one the freedom that even wireless headphones cannot facilitate for those particular environments.

Sharp also makes one for the iPHONE but this one can be similarly used with any cell phone to turn it into a quality, hands-free speakerphone with zero feedback! You can use it in the car, too. I just plugged in my LG Dare to the unit with a 3-conductor to 4-conductor cable to allow its built-in mic to operate but use the Elegance for the speakers. I simply placed both of the units in the center console and it worked like a charm. The quality of audio was loud and clear with no need to wear that dorky Blue tooth earpiece. A truly awesome (and safe to use on the go) mobile speakerphone!

The clarity and bass reproduced by this little titan is, well it's insane! The room-filling sound and off-axis listening does not diminish the effect either - the speakers simply never draw attention to themselves: this is no easy task for even expensive tower loudspeakers.

In conclusion, the descriptor "Little Big Horn" was chosen not because these are horn speaker designs but as a reference to how the arrogant Custer and his troops were shot down just like the long-in-the-tooth disciples of Messieurs Thiel and Small will be with this product and the technology break through that it represents. For the record, I am not associated with Sharp in any manner.

just what I was looking for .....
I am so glad to receive a product that does exactly what the manufacturer claims . I have a 120GB Video i-pod and this baby fits like a glove . Easy access to be able to retrieve the pod if you want to make listening changes on the fly . The fit around your waist is secure and solid and compact . The nice feature of the clear plastic face cover lets you actually make song changes without taking the i-pod out of the case . The construction materials are very substantial neoprene . I am sure I'll get years of service out of this one , a refreshing surprise these days . Hats off to the Macally folks !

no slipping
this is much better than the armstrap ipod holders, which never stay on my bulky arms and slip down. The first time I wore this product I wore it with the case to my back, to keep the headphones out of the way of my arms when running. as far as keeping it out of the way it did a great job, but it was so far out of the way you had to take it out if you wanted to change the song or adjust the volume, so I suggest you have a playlist of running songs that is as long or longer than desired run. BTW the hole they provide to loop the headphones thru , if you will be taking it out to change songs dont use that hole, it is just annoying.

Perfect Even For an iPhone!
I had to poke a tiny hole in the neoprene for the iPhone earphone jack since its location is different than the iPod's. But otherwise my iPhone, which is in a plastic case, fits snug and well. It is true that when cinched snug around your waist you can't even feel this while running. As mentioned, my iPhone is in a plastic case, so the touchscreen doesn't always activate through this carrier's clear plastic cover, but it works most of the time.

Great Carrying case
This is a very good case for and ipod video, it fits properly with some space left. Don't buy it for an ipod nano... it's too big for it, it's just the right fit for the ipod video. I can even insert my ipod in its rubber case. It comes with a couple of zipper pockets that you can use to store the headphones after use or to carry some money and keys while working out

Macally Waist Bad Carrying Case
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort with this product. As a big guy, I was a bit concerned that I would feel constrained while working out with this product, but that was not the case at all. I have a 60 GB Ipod, and it fit quite comfortably, and the band stretches to work with your body's motion. Overall, I would recomend this product over the armband variety.
