Good product and VERY good service
You get what you pay for... For the price of 399, I really think this is a very good deal, plus I saved the shipping and handling and California's 9.75% taxes (totally more than 100 dollars). For the product itself, I would give 4 stars, very easy to operate, very sturdy, doesn't make a lot of noise. And AMAZON's excellent service earned extra 1 star...

I originally ordered this 8 days ago. Upon receiving the first one, I noticed a problem with one side of extension tube (out of shape), which caused the wheel unable to fit into the tube. So I called AMAZON right after I noticed it, and told the customer representative what happened, they immediately ordered replacement to me. I received the replacement this afternoon, and the driver picked up the old one at the same time with NO extra charge at all.

It took me (female, without any help, 5'4" tall) less than 45 minutes to put it together. All necessary tools came within the package. Instruction is very easy to follow. The only minor problem that I encountered with was the heaviness of the treadmill itself. However, once you have Deck Lock Latch installed, you can use it to help you lift the running belt, so you can screw the bolts underneath. It's really not hard to assemble this treadmill.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase so far, and I hope the treadmill can last at least two to three years...
A good deal
All the parts came with it and were well labeled. It was easy to put together. I'm 59 yo and really fat, so if it was easy for me, I'm pretty sure anyone can do it. I was looking for a used one for a long time, but finally decided to buy new and think I got a lot for the money with this treadmill. My pulse reading jumps all over, so I don't think it is accurate, but it's not that important to me. I like the pre-programmed settings, and I like to set my own. Everything is simple, and that's the way I like it.
Good value but questionable quality
the assembly instructions should be outside the box,not inside,I opened the box inside my garage, found the instructions which tell you to open the box inthe location where it is to be assembled which was upstairs;first thing I noticed was the plastic motor housing was cracked,it didn't really bother me but my partner was furious and wanted me to return it.Assembly wasn't difficult but it was hard to align some of the bolt holes.biggest disappointment was the incline setting didn't function howver on removing the motor cover I found a wire connction hadn't been made which was easily rectifed and now it works fine
I am finding it avery useful product.
Hire a handyman
This proves to be an outstanding machine, ONCE you assemble it. I took one look at the directions, and along with the significant weight of the product and parts, decided to call a VERY mechanically inclined handyman. Aside from the plastic housing of my machine being damaged in transit, all pieces were intact, but my handyman said this was NOT a job for your average Joe- it took him one hour to fully assemble and get us up and running.
But like I said, now that we're set up, I am very happy with this machine and its qualities.
Not sure I would ever purchase a piece of equipment like this on the internet again(no rec ourse for the damaged housing-send it back??? and really not a simple" do-it your-selfer" assembly.)
Great deal for the price
This treadmill was easy to assemble and has all of the features (except a built in fan) that I want. It is quiet and simple to operate.

so far I'm happy
I have it only for about 3 weeks, It was easy to assemble (I am not handy)and so far it's working great.

If it keeps up like this then it's great for the price.
Great Treadmill for the Price
My husband and I got this at Christmas as our gift to each other and while I'm embarrassed to say that we don't use it as often as we had hoped to we still really like it. I'm 5'8 and around 140 lbs and found it easy to use and that it supports me well. My husband is 6'1 so in our low ceiling basement he's pretty close to the top while running on it, its also very noisy especially when you have a 230 lbs man running on it. The noise is my only con with it, otherwise its a great treadmill for the price.
Free Super Saver?? You get what you pay for.... Nothing!!!
I never received the item. It was sent to me by a carrier called CEVA and those guys never arrived with my item. I need to say that I live 50 Miles from a Medium size city, and these guys were expecting to consolidate more load in order to be cost effective for them. Not surprisingly (unless waiting for several more months), that consolidation never happened and therefore the item never arrived. After 30 days of the order being placed (and the item not arriving) I decided to cancel. Fair enough for CEVA, since they processed the return quite fast and got my refund in less than a week. Can't evaluate the product, but the logistics on large items with this carrier is pretty pathetic. This is the first time I have this type of issues with Amazon, and this will not hinder my appetite to buy from them again; I'll just look for smaller items that fit on the regular mail.
Merit Fitness 715T Treadmill
Delivery of the Merit Fitness 715T Treadmill was quick and right to my front door with no problems, plus free shipping. It's very sturdy and the easy to follow instructions made it easy to put together. It's easy to move around we love it. We been using it and it's a great fitness treadmill.
highly recommend this treadmill
I have owned several treadmills and I find the Merit Fitness 715T Treadmill the best. I am a 69 year old female and I don't like walking outside, fearful of dogs that may have gotten loose in the neighborhood. I walk in good weather and bad. The treadmill was very easy to put together. I've owned my treadmill for one month and I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves to walk. The price was right and buying from amazon the shipping was free.

Great value!
I have owned this treadmill since February 2009. I use it nearly every day and my husband uses it every other day. For the price it has a lot of great features, including automatic incline and hydraulic lifting mechanism to help you fold the track back up. The two drawbacks are that it was an absolute beast to put together and that it makes quite a lot of noise when you're running on it. If you're looking for an easy to use treadmill that doesn't take up a ton of space, though, this one is great for the price.
NEVER BUY A HORIZON - DESIGNED TO FAIL
Please, I beg you, don't ever buy a horizon treadmill. We had one for little over a year. We paid about what this one is going for, but we had more trouble than it was worth. And once you put it together - you can NEVER take it apart. You can't move it. You can't take it into a normal-sized door. And once you disassemble it, it's over. You can't use it again. It's worthless.

I can't stress this enough - DON'T BUY A HORIZON!!! Spend an extra couple of hundred dollars more and buy a nicer brand. This treadmill isn't worth what you pay for it. Please don't do it. You will regret it in the end. For the sake of your sanity and your pocketbook. Don't do it.
Great Treadmill for Runners
I have been using this treadmill for three months now and I am very satisfied with its performance. I run about 5 miles a day and needed a treadmill that I could run on, for those rainy days when I just couldn't get outside. I usually run at about 5.5 mph and this machine handles it without a problem. Also, I bounce up and down alot when I run and the cushioning system on the T91 keeps my run quiet and stable. This is a great machine that is very quiet, stable and has the power to actually let you run on it, without making you feel like the machine is about to fall apart. Also, the easylift system is great, allowing you to raise and lower the machine with one, or even no hands.

I recommend this machine to anyone looking for a durable, quiet, sturdy and powerful treadmill. Actually, the only thing it doesn't do is fold-away. The controls are very simple and changing your routine mid stride is nearly effortless. Also, it keeps a calorie, mileage, pulse and time count while you run, making workout tracking very easy. All in all, a wonderful treadmill for runners and people who bounce alot when they run, especially for such a low price.
Exceeds my expectations
I recently purchased the Fitness T91 and is so far happy with the product.

Packaging:
It was safely delivered and free of charge in a single very large box.
It is better to move the box to the desired location of your treadmill, before you start assembling it.
This thing weights about 175 pounds!

Assembly:
It took me a little over an hour from the time I took everything out of the box to my first run.
Instructions are pretty straight forward and well written (only 4 steps).
I had a minor issue with the top console connector cable: It is held with a wire so you
can easily pull it out from the Mast which is pretty narrow. The wire was loose when I tried to pull it and I ended going "fishing" for that connector cable from inside the mast (that took me 10 minutes!).

Operation:
There again it is pretty simple to use. I like the fact it is really quiet as I can exercise while the kids are sleeping.
There are 9 different programs, heart monitoring is done by placing both hands on the front holding bar.
It does come with a fan placed in front of the console. All the commands are easily accessed.

The treadmill folds up easily as well.

Great Product
I did lots of research before I purchased my new treadmill, this has by far the best warrenty on it. I have been usining it everyday to do my cardio, I enjoy the intervall workout, it is sturdy enough to jog on and not fee like you are going to fall over.

Love it treadmill
Treadmill works great. Nice and quiet. I've had it now for about 6 months and am very glad I made the purchase. Has a nice smooth feel, just as good as any I used when going to the gym. Product came quickly and in perfect condition. Highly recommend!
Sub-par shipping co.-Amazon great- happy overall
Great treadmill for the $ so far; I chose a Friday 3 hour window to have delivered from company called Ceva- By 9:30pm they had not showed or called/emailed me so I called them. Woman said Oh, That's not good- it shows no movement- I don't know why- She gives me to someone else and they say that they only ship until 3;30 and I'd have to call at 7am on Sat. and ask if they were in the area if they'd deliver it. I was not happy-no apology by the way. I did call in the am and they said they'd deliver SOMETIME between 11 and 5pm!Needless to say I did get it around noon and wrote email to Amazon to let them know how Ceva was- It says if they can't deliver they will contact you-not even an e-mail- Anyway, Amazon followed up and was great- they even gave me a $30. credit to use in the future. One main reason I purchased from Amazon was that I saw that many people have shipping/service trouble, but Amazon is always right on point with good customer service, and I am glad I did shop here.
Now- I almost bought the Horizon Evolve only for the portability and storage capability, but I just could not part w/ a bigger motor and the incline. This does have a good motor and though the 725t seemed a good deal and comparable to this- it does not have a lifetime motor warranty. The 715-same thing and it only has manual incline but this 735 has motorized incline and quick keys for incline and speed which is handy. I really like this unit. My chief complaint is just the fact that you really can't move it. Only 2 very small wheels at base on side where deck folds up. The console itself is huge-about 15.5" vertically and 31.5" across.I am no weakling, and I would never try to move this from room to room-too cumbersome, bulky and the 2 tiny wheels are not in a good place to move it. It takes up alot of space even when "folded" so be sure you really want this in the room you store it. Not something you want in the living room. I honestly thought I'd be able to move in and out of bedroom so I could watch tv and walk. No chance. It has a book rest and my 7in portable dvd player fits so I watch movies instead. I also never thought to MEASURE the width of door opening. Then I figured I could turn or angle it thru if I wanted. NO. You can't. It's too wide even when folded. Folded up it measures 35" when looking from side.32" left to right looking straight on. 55" from floor to top of console, and about 61" from floor to highest part of folded deck.
The pre-sets are cool, and I like the timers. I did 15 minutes and 25 minutes and it auto inclines during workout. All of a sudden it climbed to 2%, then 4 up to 7% and at end it slowly brings you back down. It was challenging for me (never had treadmill before-yet not overweight per-se-I'm 5'8", 148lbs) I was sweating quite a bit at the end. All in all, if you have the room, it's a great machine, fun, challenging-I have barely jogged yet, and the incline is awesome. I'd recommend if you're teetering between 735t and 725t that you just go for the 735 if only for the warranty and sturdier frame as well as motor. I also did not have any problems assembling by myself. One hole was a bit off but not too much that it made a difference. I noticed alot of complaints about pre-drilled holes not lining up on the 725 and I think this one may be made a bit better, or they've just remedied the issue. I know I agonized for weeks over which one to get and mainly it was the size issue. Really- they all seem pretty big if you want it to be durable- except for the Evolve- which is actually made by same company I believe. So if you have the room, do not expect that you can move from room to room, assemble it in room you will use it in (or you may never get it thru doorway) and be patient with the shipper go for it. If size and floor space are an issue and you don't care about incline and only plan to walk- maybe the Evolve is best for you. It does actually fold down to 10 inches.Overall, I'm very happy. I made a video of the treadmill but I'm having problems getting it to the Amazon video review. I'll keep trying.
Excellent!!!!
I purchased the Meit Fitness 735T treadmill with the expectation that it would be "middle of the road." However, to our amazement it does everything that we need and performs just as good as the treadmills at the fitness center. I highly recommend this product.
Merit Fitness 735T Treadmill
I like the treadmill. The two negative items are: the on/off switch is located up under the front of the treadmill, instead of being located in a more convenient location and the tolerance for the bolts used in assembly makes it difficult to get the bolts started in the openings.
EVEN WITH DELIVERY DAMAGE
I ENJOY THIS TREADMILL VERY MUCH! VERY QUIET AND I ENJOY THE ABILITY TO ADJUST THE SPEED AND INCLINE. TOO BAD IT WAS DELIVERED WITH A BROKEN BACK WHEEL AND CUP HOLDER.

Schwinn 840 Treadmill
I think that the reviews so far have been quite accurate. The treadmill is very quiet, and it runs smoothly. The display is easy to read, and the fan is actually quite effective. I also love the fact that a User can save as accumulating data the miles and calories burned.
There are few negatives to note. 1. The treadmill is quite heavy to move (particularly upstairs). Because the treadmill is nearly completely assembled when it arrives in its box, you cannot easily break it down into lighter parts. Therefore, my husband and I had to carry up steep stairs a 235 lb. rather unwieldy box with the treadmill in it. (It was easier to carry it in its box then taking it out and carrying it.) If you are not strong, and you need to move the treadmill up or down stairs, get some help.
2. I do not love the fact that in order to save data, you must run one of the set courses. Yes, you can change speed, and incline, but it can be a bit of a process if all you want to do is run at a constant speed. (According to the manual, you cannot save your data if all you are doing is pushing "quick start" while not having first pushed "profile" and chosen a user and course.)
However, even with these two issues, I am very glad I got this treadmill. I think the price is right for what you get!
Thank you Schwinn!!
This is an amazing piece of equipment! I have been a typical "couch potato" most of my life, but over the last two years I've gotten healthier. This past year I trained and walked in a 3-day cancer walk for the Susan Komen Foundation. After that, I decided I wanted to continue my walking routines, but indoors. I've never had a treadmill before, so I was excited about getting one for all the regular reasons - walking indoors in the air, walking in a safe place, convenience of walking when I wanted, etc. But I was also a little nervous about having to put this piece of equipment together; however, it was a breeze!

First, most of it is already put together when it arrives. All I had to do was connect the arms/handlebars and console. The directions - unlike many other companies - were easy to understand and follow, and all the little tools and parts required to do the job were included. I am not especially handy at this sort of thing, but I had no trouble at all.

Next, using this treadmill is wonderful and easy. The deck or walking belt is very, very comfortable and the whole thing is on hydraulics so that with the push of a button the deck raises or lowers to increase or decrease the incline and level of work. I especially like the fact that the incline can be adjusted in small increments of only 1% at a time so that I can easily determine my level of work. The speed controls are also easy to use so that I was able to walk from a slow easy pace (my beginning level) to a brisk pace (I don't run). And my husband, the runner, loves it as well because the pace will boost to his level very quickly. It goes from 1/2 mile an hour to 10 miles an hour for the really fast folks!

The best thing about this treadmill is that it is a highly professional piece of equipment. It looks like and has all the functions of all the "high end" treadmills that I have seen or used in the local gyms - but WITHOUT the "high end" cost. The console provides multiple functions so that each user can program a personal routine and save it. The routine can be based on sex/weight/and type of program and later shows calories burned, AND the program can be converted to Metric standards easily. There are multiple course options to choose from so that beginners, intermediate users, and athletes can use the machine and get a great workout from it. For serious folks wanting to improve their health or train for personal or athletic goals, this equipment comes with a heart monitor and instructions in the book for setting goals to reach 65%, 75%, or 85% heart "rates".

Another favorite quality of this piece of equipment is that the walking deck can actually be folded upwards so that it is in a standing position instead of taking up floor space! That's right - it folds! Even though this is a heavy, professional weight and quality piece of equipment, the deck folds up into the arms/handlebars so that you can have the floor space for other uses.

So basically, I have had this treadmill for about 4 weeks now and I am no longer a "couch potato". I am back to a good walking routine, but indoors instead of in the 90+ temps and high humidity of south Georgia. My best walking time is 5:00 a.m., so I now have the safety of walking in my home instead of the dark outside, which previously kept me from walking at all. I also find that I walk more often since I have the treadmill right here. I can get on and do 30 or 40 minutes in the comfort of my own home - and I am loving it!!!
Multi-featured versatile treadmill
This Schwinn/Nautilus treadmill comes with many programs and features that make it suitable for people with a variety of fitness goals and needs. It has a nice surface to jog on that reduces stress on your joints and it can be set using built-in programs or with user-defined settings for speed/intensity and length of workout. The treadmill can fold up to save space when it's not being used, though like any treadmill it's heavy and not easy to move around. This treadmill is somewhat pricey (Amazon does offer it currently at about 50% below retail list price, which brings it in range of affordability for more buyers), but for good quality and having a workout that is safe and best suited to your fitness program it's worth spending more to get what really meets your needs. Schwinn has done a great job with this model, and assuming this treadmill stays durable and has a long life I would have to say it's an excellent option for anyone looking to own a treadmill that will support their fitness pursuits.
Great product, great price. Love this.
I always wanted to have a treadmill at home. I've been a runner for thirty years and the worst part of running outdoors is the cold air in your lungs and the coughing that results. I hate to join a gym, tho -- the crowds at peak hours and the "wrong" music -- so the Schwinn 840 is a great choice for me. It's reasonably priced (even if you don't get yours as a reviewer) and it seems just as heavy-duty as the ones at the gym I've tried. It *is* heavy -- getting it in the house would be a problem if you have stairs, altho it is easy to move on a flat surface. As it was, the delivery man left it on my porch and I was able to get the box in the house by myself, tho I'm not saying it was easy. Assembly was easy enough -- It comes with the right size wrench. My friend helped, and then I disassembled and moved with it, and it did take two movers altho they did not seem to think it was a problem to carry. It was lighter and less bulky than the sofa bed, e.g.

I really like having the variable programs. I used to think that treadmills would be boring compared to being outside, but on cold, rainy days, it's much better to set a different program and be home listening to music (without the headset that keeps you from hearing oncoming cars). And, in a rural area, jogging outside is not even possible in winter as the roads are too icy. As far as heart rate, I'm not really that concerned about how well it measures it, because I've been running so long that I know where my optimum rate is and how it feels. I also can't compare it to any other type of heart-rate measuring device, because I haven't used them. I also don't keep track seriously of my distance and time, since I'm not working on improving them -- I have my routine, about 20 mins of jogging/running, but it's a nice feature to have. I use it for fitness, not for training, but I do vary the speed/program a little to keep from getting bored. I also like the "calorie count" feature. LOL.

It is quiet and won't disturb other members of the household (unlike, say, a Nordic Track), and very important -- it's easier on your joints than running on a hard surface. This is important if you've been running awhile or if you're older starting out, but younger runners should be thinking ahead -- I know, I didn't think ahead at the time, either, just ran on the pavement, but your knees will thank you if you do. Of course, you should still use good running shoes and be sure they are sized properly. OT: your running shoes often should be 1/2 size bigger than your other shoes, to make sure that your weight lands on the cushioned part of the shoe, not the narrow part toward the toe. For lubricating the treadmill, you can use Liquid Wrench (comes in a spray can at a home improvement center or hardware store). It's very easy and low maintenance.
So far, terrific!
I still can't believe I got free delivery on this treadmill. Thank you Amazon! We wanted to put the treadmill in an upstairs bedroom, so it took my husband and adult son a while to carry it up the stairs. But once it was up there, it was very easy to assemble. My husband and I both use it, and are delighted with its performance. We bought the mat and the lubricant with the treadmill, and would highly recommend that.

The only thing that is a little disappointing is that the grip heart rate monitor really doesn't work very well. I suppose the chest strap version would work better, but we would have had to buy the 860 model to get it. But we love how easily the display works. The fan is wonderful, and so necessary!

We're very glad we bought this treadmill.

So far so good...
For those of you that don't want to read a 9,000 page review of a bloody treadmill, here is my short analysis.

- Easy to assemble, took me about an hour and a half. The most difficult part is moving it where you want it and guiding the electric wires through the left pole.

- Its exactly as advertised, it feels sturdy, it stores well. Being able to put the deck up keeps it out of the way to you dont have to give up too much space for the thing.

Overall it works well and you will get exactly what you expect from this treadmill, no need to reiterate what the product says about itself or go into a pretentious in depth review of a piece of work out equipment. Want a treadmill that works for this price, is sturdy and has these features, get this.

Review over.
Great running surface ... terrible display
I purchased this treadmill about four weeks ago. I received the treadmill within a week and it was easy to put together. I've been running on it for about 3 weeks now, approximately 4-8 miles a day.

The good:
It has a great running surface, I have put thousands of miles on commercial quality treadmills and this treadmill is easily comparable. Based on that I would give it 5 stars. The running surface is spacious (width and length) which is good for me because I like to drift around a bit. Also, one thing that I have noticed on other treadmills is a tendency for the belt to "stick" when your foot strikes down. I have not noticed this at all on this treadmill. This is a solid treadmill to run on.

The heart rate monitor seems to work well as long as you stay near the display area (if you drift a bit towards the back of the treadmill the connection will be lost). I have a few different brands of heart rate monitors and they all seem to work well. Also, programming it isn't too complicated and I've made use of a few of the programs so far.

The not so good:
The display for this treadmill is one of the worst I've seen. They've combined a lot of the display items and buttons which makes for a compact viewing area but the lack of any logical programming in the display is a definite annoyance. The display likes to show me what I don't want to see (heart rate when not wearing a heart rate monitor and the static information like pace and calories burned per hour) and seems to not show me what I want to see (distance/time run). I am constantly having to flip through the display to keep it where I want it.

In addition, the enter button is also the cool down button, so you have to be very careful while using the numbers to adjust your speed or you may end up cutting your run short (pressing start to resume as the display states actually seems to end the run). The fan does not provide much cooling at all, even at high speed.

Overall I'd actually give it 3.5/5 stars but I'm not sure I would buy the same treadmill again. I'd probably go with the Nordic Track Commercial 1500 (same price) or the Nordic Track A2750 for about $400 less.
NIGHTMARE !!!
DO NOT PURCHASE ANY BOFLEX EQUIPMENT. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A NIGHTMARE, IF YOU LIVE IN A CERTAIN AREA, YOU CAN NOT GET ANYONE OUT TO WORK ON IT. MINE QUIT WORKING AFTER ONE YEAR, AND SEVEN MONTHS. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!
bowflex series 7
the machine seems to be working great so far. When we recieved it however the fan was completely broke off. We had to take the back off and remove it and are still waiting for a replacement that they say they will replace.
Fine, until it broke suddenly
We got the treadmill in February. The delivery company arrived at the time I scheduled, and quickly moved the box into place. Set up was not very hard or time consuming, but it's best to have 2 people for this task.
Pros: Good incline options, good wireless chest strap for heart rate monitoring, long treadmill for bigger strides, and seems wide enough. It seems good quality for a person of average weight to use. It does not feel cheap.
Cons: Sometimes, it needs to be turned off in order to start a new program - it's like the memory needs to clear. Not a big deal, because the power button is on the front console. The power switch is on the front of the unit, near the floor. I turn it off here after using it.
I don't have a treadmill mat - it's on carpet in the basement and that seems fine. I am not giving it 5 stars at this point because I haven't had it very long. We will see!
UPDATE: Afer 3 months of light use, the treadmill does not work. It gives an error code of LS and will not operate. The call center technician was helpful, but after over an hour on the phone and trying different things to troubleshoot the issue, the treadmill still does not work. The parts needed to repair it are on backorder, and I will be without the treadmill for at least 1 month, but likely 6 weeks.

OK for the money
I read all the good and not so good reviews and decided to buy this.

I'm 5'3" and 120 lbs (ok.. 130 lbs) and here are my comments:
-- assembled in 10 minutes
-- the person who said silicone it up really well was right - do it
-- the person who said to use a 2x4 under the back to decrease the incline was right - do it
-- this is designed for walking and fast walking - NOT running
-- this is designed for a shorter person with a shorter stride
-- if you are looking for the ease, steady movement of an automatic treadmill, do not buy this
-- read the instructions on adjusting when the belt shifts - it takes a few adjustments, but then it stays
-- I can't comment on the digital monitor since my vision isn't so hot (I can't really see the numbers very well)
-- when you get the hang of the walking rhythm, this will be a good workout
-- and, I don't think this is loud (and I'm sensitive to loud machinery)
Good manual treadmill
It too me several adjustments to get the belt at the correct tension, but after I did get it, it's been a pretty good treadmill for the money. Being manual, it is a little work to get it going, but it definitely adds to the workout. It was easy to put together, folds easily. Perfect for my needs.
Broke in a couple months
At first I was relatively satisfied with the treadmill. It's noisy and takes some time to get used to but when it works it does its job very well. I actually managed to lose about 10 pounds in the first month. The problem started shortly after that. The belt started to shift more and more and one time after tightening it something shifted when I was walking and all of a sudden I could smell burning plastic. Turns out the screw was stripped and was grinding into the plastic of the roller.

I've tried to fix it since then but nothing seems to help. I would try to return it but it was cheap and it would probably cost almost as much to ship it back.
good enough
i think that the treadmill is good as it gets for the price. the price was fair and the treadmill is good. putting it together was easy. i mainly bought it for my dad and i use it as well and a person come really work up a sweat within 10 minutes. i would recommend it for people who don't have time to exercise. it does make i bit of noise but one could easy forget as exercise. the belt does go against the wheel but in the manual it tell you how to fix it and if do so it can easy be fix. i think that it work and it good enough and it really doesn't take up space.
Perfect for my needs
I wanted a treadmill that I can use while watching TV in the living room and that I am able to put aside when company visits. This truly fits the bill. I'm happy to be able to get my walking done before work and when the temp is cooler. I tore an ACL several years ago, so this machine is safe for me to use without the fear of injury. Also, I'm 5'4", so the length of the tread is just right for my stride, although it may not be a good fit for someone who is taller. This machine may not be adequate for the true exercise enthusiast, but it's perfect for my needs.

Horizon T101
the shipment of the product was on time.
Its a little harder to setup the equipment.

Working fine, no issues and like the IPOD connection and speakers.
I used to hate excercise
Got this a few weeks ago. I used to run a bit about 15 years ago, but haven't done much since and surprisingly, I've gained weight. I finally decided, after alot of research, a treadmill (particularly this one, based on reviews/affordability) was the way to go. I had major fears that I'd make excuses and avoid working out. But after 3 weeks of gradually intensive 30 minute interval workouts as soon as I get up, I've noticed an almost immediate change in the way my clothes fit, as well as increased energy throughout the day. I made the mistake of weighing myself a week after I started, but after ignoring my body for many years, I should have expected to gain some muscle weight, which I did. At this point, I'm very confident that when I weigh myself in a couple of weeks, there will be a noticeable change. Some advice for the lazy: workout immediately in the morning, before you can talk yourself out of it. Morning workouts also keep me feeling great throughout the day. I honestly can't say if this machine is better than others, but it's sturdy, easy to construct, and does what you need it to do. I have had no issues whatsoever with it, and I get a great workout. I've become a believer, and that is the only reason why I'm taking the time to write a review. Great product.
Not too bad of a deal
Not a bad economy model. The speakers are good. It has nice features for an intermediate type of fitness person. The cooling fan could be a little stronger but it's nice to have that. It's a bit noisy when it's running, but for the price it's a very good bargain. Pleased with my purchase
Good, but shakes some
My wife can walk or run on it without a problem. I can walk on it with no issue. But when I try to run, say at 5 mph or so, it shakes pretty bad. I'm about 200 lbs.

Also, the instructions state that the belt comes factory set for the tension and centered, but then they require you to loosen the belt to grease it. Was very difficult to get the belt back to the way it is suppose to be, and I'm still not sure it's right.
Good, basic treadmill
Just bought this off Amazon. Delivery was quick and free! Installation is real easy. About 45 minutes, I did ask my son to help with mounting the console. It wasn't heavy but sure is easier to align with extra hands. These are what I like about this treadmill:

1) Price - not the least inexpensive but with life time warranty I feel it is money well spend.
2) Easy installation, 4 bolts to mount left and right arms, 4 additional bolts for the console and that's it!
3) Motor seems sturdy, up to 10 mph. Average noise as a motor would. Fast enough for most folks?
4) Really like the incline feature to add more workout, up to 10% incline and whisper quiet operation.
5) Fold up and down easily with built-in lift.
6) Good size walking/jogging area.
7) MP3 player hookup comes handy, plus headphone plug for private listening.

I really don't have too many complains with this treadmill. Like other reviewers said since it is newer model, hopefully will holds up well over time? By the way, about lubing the belt. It is not too bad. I will definitely put some tape marking on the tension bolts, so it would be easier the next time. I didn't do it but still took about 10 minutes or so to get the belt center. I would recommend it for someone like myself with limited budget. I personally can't justify spending over a grand or more for a treadmill. Don't expect too many bells and whistles, other just a solid workout treadmill that can I dare say gym-like? Would give 5 stars if the treadmill holds up over use as time will tell!

Treadmill
First treadmill I have bought but not the first I have jogged on. The box is huge and you will deff need someone to help you if you plan to move it before assembly. I have had it for two days so cant say much but its quiet and has alot of options and has incline wich is something big that I wanted. Well built and mad heavy but easy to move around when folded. Was easy to put together just watch the wires other then that a piece of cake. Has alot of room for mp3 player and bottles. If you want to get off your butt and move this is a good choice.
so for so good
We have only had this treadmill for a few weeks but are very pleased with its performance. It was delivered into our garage and, since it is very heavy, we decided to set it up and use it in the garage. Set up was quick and easy. Four people use it daily and we have not encountered any problems with the unit. It is well constructed for its main purpose. The speakers are a little wimpy and the fans need to be supplemented by larger house fans for some users. For the price this treadmill appears to be very suitable for home use and if anything does go wrong the warrenties on the components refect the manufacturer's confidence in the product.
High quality treadmill
This treadmill is heavy and sturdy but the easy lift mechanism allows me to fold it and roll it with ease. And the same mechanism lowers the treadmill back into position gently. This was very important as I am 62 years old and arthritic--I did not need something I had to wrestle with. I was able to put the treadmill together by myself--easy to follow instructions. I did have some problems with the very small tools provided--not a long enough grip for me to get leverage so I had to improvise.
I have used the treadmill for a week now and I love the ease of use. It is quiet and smooth. Transitions from start to movement and back to stop are gentle with no abrupt bumping. Digital display is clear, easy to see, with buttons in convenient locations. Buttons for elevation and speed are also located on the hand rails.
I am very happy I bought this treadmill from Amazon--and the free shipping was a plus.
Makes working out challenging and enjoyable
Delivery/Purchase
I would highly recommend to go with "Inside Delivery" as the size and weight of the box makes it extremely difficult to move. I had to take the treadmill base out of the box and have two men carry my F80 downstairs into my basement (not included in my ABF delivery since we had to take it out of the box to fit the doorway however they will take it down stairs if they can get the box through). I purchased my treadmill through Sports Authority who routinely offers free inside delivery (and who in turn has Sole ship it direct to you so hard to beat). I saved $150 off the F80 by using my Discover Card through the ShopDiscover online link for Sports Authority (10% off purchase), just something to keep in mind for anyone considering.

Assembly/Installation
Assembly was very simple, quick and relatively easy - I definitely would not pay anyone to do this for me. It does help to have two people do the part where the arm covers clamp on since this can be tricky to not pinch any wires. One note that I haven't seen anyone really point out clearly is that this treadmill must not run off a GFCI. The manual clearly states that, and it's something I was aware of but thought maybe it would work anyway...not in my case. The treadmill would trip the GFCI every time it would go to start. It was a simple fix to replace the GFCI but just be aware of this as it may affect where you choose to put your treadmill.

Treadmill Predefined Programs/Features
The treadmill itself is very sturdy and has some nice features (quick speed/incline keys in increments of 2, iPod plug-in, storage wells on each side of console). In reading through the reviews I didn't see many people who had actually used the predefined workouts. I have used quite a few of them already, and they are excellent! You can download a PDF on Sole's website that contains the details of every one and how they are influenced by maximum top speed that you set and length of time for the program that you set. I personally use the Fatburn, Hill, Cardio, Interval and Strength programs but look forward to the user defined ones as well (two can be programmed). I briefly tried the heart rate programs that work with the wireless monitor but since I was just starting out, I had a hard time completing them.

I didn't think I would use the predefined programs but so far they have been great because they challenge you to push yourself harder in terms of varying inclines and speeds. I find myself telling the treadmill to "Bring it on!" when it gently beeps that it's going to adjust the incline or speed throughout the program (which is nice). There are also displays that show you what is coming up for speed or incline changes in the next sections of the program which is great. Another thing I didn't see in reviews is that there is a warm-up and cool-down with each program. You can easily bypass it if you like, but they did add three minutes on each side of the program for this. My only minor "complaint" with the predefined programs is that they seemed to have included a warm-up/cool-down inside the program itself to some extent and now you have another warm-up/cool-down before/after the program officially starts/ends. It almost seems like they recently added the separate warm-up/cool-down feature to the F80 but didn't alter their pre-existing programs to remove this. You can adjust around it by increasing the duration or intensity (max speed) for the program and then bypassing the separate ones so no big deal but strikes me as odd. I find myself having to increase the intensity within the predefined programs at the beginning and end if I don't do this.

Wireless Heart Monitor
The wireless heart rate monitor is great, and I can't imagine not having it. I didn't honestly think I would use it, but it's great and for me has been very accurate. You do need to read the directions with the monitor that says to place it underneath the pectorals and to wet the monitor sensors. I have never had a problem with it being off since I have started doing this.

Treadmill Usage
There is a slight delay between speed/incline changes (~5 seconds), but I find this helpful because it allows me to adjust and prepare. The incline changes are subtle and smooth. I personally think the speakers are good and don't understand all the fuss about them. I use them with my iPod, and it works great, beats headphones. I also like the fans but agree that they are not overwhelming...provides a subtle path of air which is all I really need since I'm using the treadmill in my cool basement. There is a small ledge on the console for a book or magazine. I have been able to set my video iPod up on the ledge and watch my favorite TV shows while broadcasting the audio through the speakers...pretty nice setup. It doesn't vibrate or fall off since the ledge goes back far enough.

My only reservation with the Sole F80 is what I would call a slight whine/hum at speeds lower than 2.0mph. I sometimes only notice it between 1.0 - 2.0, almost always at 2.0mph. It sounds like a motor whine like it's dragging/laboring but after it increases a little bit, the sound goes away. Another reviewer mentioned this as well, and I kind of wondered about it but nothing appears to be off as everything is lubed and the belt is centered. There must just be something around 2.0mph that does it.

I am very happy with my purchase as it was a lot of money to spend so good to know that the product is worth it. I have been using it every day for half and hour for two weeks and have dropped 5 lbs so far. More importantly the Sole F80 seems like something that I will be able to continue to use toward my weight loss goals and on-going maintenance. I find that I look forward to using it, and the features it provides. I'm glad I purchased the F80 over the F63 because I find myself running more and more on my treadmill which I had not intended to do. I always thought I would power walk but with the heart monitor, I found that after two weeks my body had adapted to the challenge even with various incline changes so I needed the boost of running to get my heart rate back up to where it needs to be throughout my session. The Sole F80 should be all I need for a long time.
about the two "one star" ratings and "low speed" error
Superb machine. I concur w/ all the five-star reviews. Half the price, double the quality. It's a beast for the $$. Regarding those "low speed" errors you may read about: I had the same. I called Sole Hdq. in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and spoke w/ two techs who have worked on them for many years. 1) Could be the speed sensor, but that's a slim chance. 2) It was my error. When you assemble the right hand rail, be cautious not to crimp the wiring harness. This is exactly the problem. It's heavy steel and kind of difficult to handle by yourself - it's easy to crimp that harness. This one's a keeper for many years.

Great value
I needed a treadmill for a small room, and one that I could afford. This one fits the bill perfectly.I could have paid a lot more for larger units, but I think this is the best value for my needs. It's easy to operate, the display is easy to read, and, probably best of all, it needs absolutely no tools to assemble. It doesn't raise in the front to increase the incline, but then, that wasn't a feature I really wanted. I got exactly what I paid for, just a good, simple, and enjoyable piece of exercise equipment I foresee using for many years to come.
Perfect Choice
After reading numerous reviews of treadmills, and after cheking out a number of them at retail stores in person, I chose the Pardigm Treadmill. The best price of ANY place was Amazon. I realize I just happen to live close to a point which made shipping unbelievably fast, but even if it took more than several days it would have been alright and it would have been worth the wait.

I agree with all the positive comments that other people had to say about this product in their reviews, and I experienced none of any kind of negaitve things that only a few encountered.

It was as easy to "assemble" as many people had said. It took just a few minutes and required nothing more that a screwdriver, a pair of pliers and the allen wrench supplied in the box. It comes already assembeld for the most part. Very little left to do to put it into operation.

There are treadmills from very low to extreme prices, but none could have satisfied my requirements more than this Pardigm.

It is exceptionally well made. The controls have been placed where they are convenient. You will be able to move and store it easier and better than countless others.

I will highly recommend the Paradigm Treadmill. After a little over one month's use, I can feel poitive physical results.

Whether novice or experienced in personal excercise, this treadmill will provide the excercise you are looking for.
The range of speeds at the lower ends will give any older user safe and comfortable use.

I feel like I sure made the right choice. Actually, there were too many choices available, so selecing one was not easy. But, from so many alternatives out there, and at a fantastic price through
Amazon, the Pardigm really was the perfect choice.

Walking Treadmill
I am very pleased with the treadmill. It was easy to assemble and meets my needs.
Fabulous!
I especially liked that for the most part it came all put together. My husband was relieved as well. Works great, haven't had a problem with it yet.
great little treadmill for the price
This is just what I was looking for. Sturdy, lightweight treadmill without fancy features that I never use anyway, just for walking
(I really don't like to run).My only suggestion for improvement is that the walking surface should be a bit longer. I'm 5'5" and it's just about right but I'd feel more comfortable with a longer belt area.4 1/2 stars!
