Nice for the price
Works well. Charge lasts long so you can take it on the road without the charger.
Didn't seem especially noisy to me. Only possible disadvantage is that the head is not that easy to change (you get a plastic tool when you buy replacement heads). This means it's hard to share this toothbrush with your spouse.

Less expensive than most but it's not "cheap".

Love it and recommend it
Power toothbrushes are a mystery to me and my wife. Why is is that some of them can be so damn expensive and some don't? We, as a couple, moved to power brushes when Crest came out with cheap ones that needed to have the batteries replaced. But we soon got sick and tired of that because of its bulkiness, its inability to maintain a constant speed because of battery leakage, and replacing batteries every once in a while (which also was not an easy task). Then we came across this toothbrush from Oral and we have loved it ever since. It gives a good clean, it is rechargeable, and the brush heads are not expensive. I still don't get why Oral does not have more of these in stores and why some of their other versions are so expensive but we are happy with this selection and hope that Oral does not decide to let it go because it is cannibalizing its high-end power brushes.

Short Battery Life
In less than 6 months after purchase, my new Oral B toothbrush developed a very short recharged battery life. I only got 1 or 2 uses after a 24 hour recharging. When I searched other reviews of this product, I found that I was not alone. A very unsatisfactory product that should be withdrawn from the market.

I like this toothbrush
I bought this toothbrush about 3 weeks ago at W-mart for $12.99 and I really like it. My Crest Spinbrush broke and I wanted something rechargeable but couldn't afford to spend $80+ on a toothbrush so I picked this up. I have sensitive teeth and my gums bleed sometimes, but I have not had any discomfort at all with this toothbrush. It's quieter than the spinbrush and the entire unit is smaller which makes it much more comfortable to use. The vibrations almost tickle, I don't find it bothersome at all and my teeth and gums look and feel cleaner and healthier. I think this is a great toothbrush for those of us on a budget.

Functions well.
This is my third Sonicare, if I recall correctly. I would have preferred the one with the "Quadrapacer" feature, but it just seems to me as if they are getting more expensive each time I buy one. Economics being as they are, I had to go cheap this time. I'd suggest that, for the money one pays for the device, they should be guaranteed forever. Other than the expense vs. longevity, the Sonicare is a wonderful product, convenient to use, and does a great job. In fact, I believe I've had more dentists than I've had Sonicare toothbrushes. The latest dentist seems like a keeper; his office sells replacement Sonicare heads pretty cheap.

Works great!
This Sonicare brush was delivered quickly and works great in cleaning my teeth. I would highly recommend this brush. It was priced lower on Amazon than other places I checked.

Does not hold a charge
I travel every week and I had hoped to use this brush without bringing along the charger. This has been impossible since I have to leave the brush on the charger in between brushes or it will not last more than 30s when I try to brush the 2nd time without charging.

I like the toothbrush a lot, but the terrible battery life makes this a single star in my book. For those of you who don't travel this is probably not a deal breaker, but if you forget to use the charger after brushing you may end up with a dead brush until the next morning.

I'm hoping I have a faulty battery and Amazon replaces it, but we'll see.

poor performance
i just bought this toothbrush a month ago, and it will not hold a charge. waste of money.

BEWARE. Not like our last.
This is our third Sonicare toothbrush. Not to exaggerate, but we can not imagine proper dental care without the Sonicare. This product however is a grave disappointment. It is definitely the lowest end of the product line. After a week, we have yet for it to work correctly. To make matters worse, we were so sure it would be as satisfying as the last two that we threw away the packaging right after arrival. Now we are stuck with a mal-functioning toothbrush and just flushed $50 down the drain. Advise? Spend more and get a proper working product and SAVE your packaging.

A great toothbrush!
When my previous Oral B power brush finally stopped working (after 7+ years), I definitely was going to buy another one. The old one was great but this newer model is so much better. The speed is much faster, it's quieter, cleans more thoroughly and doesn't irritate your gums, even if you put pressure. The noise changes if you press too hard and also at 30 second intervals to let you know how long to spend in each quadrant of your mouth. My teeth are cleaner and whiter than with the previous model I had, I almost wish it had died sooner so I could buy this one. The battery life is decent, ours get used 4 times a day for about 5 days on one charge. It really provides a dentist like clean if you use it properly and though the replacement brushes can be pricey, I'd consider it worth having a healthy mouth and avoiding expensive and painful dental procedures.

It just does the job!
It is my third toothbrush. I bought this one because the old one does not have the stop every 30 sec function. With the new one, I can control my brushing time more conveniently. It also has a light to indicate when should I recharge the toothbrush and when it has done recharging.
So far so good.

Great oral health tool
Package arrived quickly and in good shape. This toothbrush is amazing. After using it my teeth felt just like l had stepped out of the dental hygenist's chair. I can see why they say it really cuts down on tartar build up. I highly recommend this product.

clean teeth
I love my new toothbrush. Teeth never felt so clean. My only disappointment was that there was no alarm to let you know when you have been brushing for two minutes. The description of the product suggested that there was one. Apparently the brush just pauses for a moment. Other than that, I am very pleased.

Good choice, even if a little expensive
Not much I can say about a TOOTHBRUSH. It gets the job done. It's comfortable and certainly cleans my teeth better than a regular manual toothbrush. Also, the vibrations every 30 seconds help keep track of the 2 mins we should all spend brushing teeth. This sounds like an unnecessary stupid feature, but trust me, the moment you use this toothbrush you realize you've never spent the advisable time brushing your teeth, not even half.

Overall a good purchase, I'm happy with it. My teeth are cleaner than they ever were.

Great So Far
I ordered the Pulsonic from Amazon about a week ago. I'd already purchased one at my local pharmacy -- total bill for the toothbrush and a set of replacement heads was $116. Amazon price: $66! So back to the drug store I went....

This is a great toothbrush so far. I had a few years old Sonicare and I find the Pulsonic to be as powerful and easy to use, but in a much more elegant package. The two speed mode is nice and easy to operate. The brush head has been safe and secure with no evidence that it could come off as some report. While I agree with those who would like to have a travel case, this brush fits easily into a plastic sandwich bag. Overall a great purchase experience and a very good product so far. BTW, like the Sonicare, the Pulsonic can be used in the shower -- to quote the user manual -- "without hesitation." Nice!

Great Product!
I have absolutely no complaints yet for this product. My mouth definitely feels clean. I love the timer that lets you know how much time to spend on each quadrant of your mouth, it looks sleek, not bulky, good movement on the brush head.

Good value
I've had the Pulsonic over a month now. It's my first sonic brush and my teeth were a wee bit sensitive at first, but I got over it.

The Pulsonic replacement brushes are more affordable than most, which was one of the factors into my purchase decision. In addition, it runs SO long on a battery charge, it's just amazing. The 30 second timer to move to another quadrant to brush is a nice feature. Not to mention the mail-in rebate that was available when I purchased - now expired but check the Oral-B website to see if there is anything new.

I still miss my Interplak with rotary head that lasted me 15 years before the battery couldn't hold a charge anymore & brushes were near impossible to find. I wish they were still making the Interplak but the Pulsonic is a good replacement, even though it's not a rotary head brush.

great product, timely delivery
I had the Oral B Vitality Sonic and the batteries became more difficult to locate. Didn't want to lose an arm and a leg to buy another toothbrush, so found this one on your website and decided it was a viable alternative. The vibrating action is more than my old one, but love it! Also love the 2 minute timer and 30 second interval stops.

Tender Gums Meet Electric Toothbrush
I have had periodontal disease for many years along with very sensitive gums. Traditional electric toothbrushes made my gums so ticklish that I could not use them. A low speed spin brush worked ok and did not tickle the gums, but did not remove the plaque as well as needed. This new Oral B Pulsonic seems to address two problems very well; ticklish gums and the second small pick like brush. The lower "sensitive" speed does not tickle the gums, and the pick like brush allows me to carefully brush the gum line and the crevices between teeth. After a month of use and a recent perio exam, the dentist says it is looking much better, and to keep up the routine with the new electric tooth brush.

Oral-B electric toothbrush
This was rated #1 by Consumer Reports so I gave it a try after using the #2 rated Sonicare unit for years. Both are somewhat expensive but certainly worth it because my only expense since using either one of the devices at the Dentist's office is for the annual pofessional cleaning. Healthy gums with no new cavities or bridgework that needs to be done make these kinds of devices well worth the money.

No surprise, works as expected!
It works as advertised. The best thing about it is that it produces circular vibrations for cleaning, which is close oval type motions thought to be best moving for not only cleaning but for the health of tooth.

Oral B electric toothbrush
First rechargeable electric that I have owned and I'm very pleased with the results. I don't know if the more expensive models offer more value but I can't imagine that they clean any better. The 2 minute timer is handy, comfortable to hold, teeth feel clean when finished. Very pleased with the purchase.

You get what you pay for
My 2nd Sonicare toothbrush died, so I picked up this Oral-B. For what I paid, I guess I can't complain.

There are things I prefer about my Sonicare, like the fact that it had a charging indicator, it was much quieter, and seemed more powerful.

For what I paid for this Oral-B, I guess I can't complain. It does the job, although it is much louder than my Sonicare. I have noticed that the toothbrush seems to "bog down" if you use anything but light pressure. I mean it get's a bit bogged down when it's rubbing up against my cheek when brushing my back molars. There is no charging indicator on the unit, so there's no way of knowing whether it is charging or not. I will say, however, I do prefer the brush head size/shape in comparison to Sonicare's shape/size. I was even using the compact brush head's with my Sonicare, but the Oral-B's are just more comfortable and do a better job reaching my back molars. While I wouldn't buy this model again, I will most likely step up to a higher priced model to see if the noise gets any quieter and the motor stronger. All in all, it was worth it to find out I prefer the brush head shape/size over Sonicare's. Also, the price of the replacement brushes are much more reasonable. Granted you change these heads ever 3 mths v. 6 mths with the Sonicare, it's still a significant savings.

Excellent product and value
Both my wife and I have been using this brush for over a month. It gives you a solid, vigorous, brush, and the batteries last for a long time. We do not recharge it after every use, preferring to store the charger. When we are ready to recharge, we set it up over night; then, we get another week of brushing. Particularly for the price, it's a solid toothbrush.

Great toothbrush
This is actually a very nice and affordable toothbrush. It really does clean much better than a non-electric brush and its not as expensive as the other fancy toothbrushes out there. Being not specific to this product, one concern I have regarding electric toothbrushes with mechanical spin heads is that they might be harming the old fillings. I had to have two of my fillings replaced after using this toothbrush for 6 months (however its hard to say if the reason was the toothbrush or something else). My dentist told me that it shouldn't affect the fillings but it really does apply some force on the teeth so I am still suspicious. However, my hygienist had a really difficult time finding tartars after I started using this toothbrush. I currently use one machine (with two heads) together with my wife and the battery seems to hold well for back-to-back brushings 3 times a day.

great buy
I purchased the Oral-B Vitality Dual Clean Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush for my spouse whom, we received the order quickly and in great condition. It does a great job cleaning teeth, it takes getting used to, as a new Vitality brush user it takes a week to adjust.

Excellent toothbrush
I had first bought this toothbrush in 2006, which worked until 2010, without changing battery. But the old Vitality brush's electronics is now screwed up after four years of service. These days, it starts up automatically sometimes. So I decided to get a new Vitality. A useful life of four years is pretty significant for a $20 brush.

I am very happy with the results. It cleans teeth well, and does it in short time. It has a timer for 2 minutes, which I find very useful. In the first brush that I had bought in 2006, the timer was such that if you turn off the brush in the middle of your brushing, it will restart the 2 minutes. But the current version is a bit smarter. Say you're brushing and you need to stop the brush for a few minutes. When you restart brushing, it continues from the previous time, instead of restarting. That's a great feature, I was hoping to get in my earlier brush, and I did now. I am a happy camper. One of my teeth is slightly at inner level compared to neighboring teeth, but with this brush, I have been able to keep that teeth equally clean.

Huge Improvement
I've been a Sonicare user for about 10 years now. I have always loved my Sonicare but hated the way gunk and crud would build up under the screw cap that secured the brush head to the base unit. Gross! But once my base unit finally broke, I purchased the new Sonicare. The new design is really cool and no more gunk and crud build up since the screw cap is gone. Also, the new toothbrush sanitizer is awesome. I can't say enough good things about my new Sonicare.

best ever?
My dentist suggested. Is a very good product and it seems to do better than my older one, I'll find out at my next cleaning. Others commented about hitting the adjustment buttons while using. It has happened to me a few times but you can learn to avoid it and if you hit it by mistake, just hit it again to restart, the timer continues from where you left off.

Excellent cleaning, but poor design
The Sonicare Flexcare gives you that "dental cleaning" great feel. The toothbrush handle is lighter and easier to handle than the original Sonicare style.

Now for the bad. The toothbrush head would not fit flush on the handle. There was a slim gap between the base of the brush head and the control/handle unit. This then 1. Caused the toothbrush head to come loose and at times to pop off. 2. Because of the gap and the looseness, the brush cleaning selection malfunctioned. While brushing in the clean mode, it would switch to the "massage mode" or the "sensitive mode". At first I thought I was accidentally touching the selection button by mistake while brushing. But, I believe now it is related to the poorly fitting toothbrush head not seated properly and snug on the poorly designed/or manufactured "metal rod fitting".

I contacted Philips Sonicare using their "Live Chat". After a short discussion of the problem and giving the rep. the model number and serial number of my unit, I was told a new Flexcare would be sent out to me and arrive in a week. A return label will be included to return the defective toothbrush.

Philips has excellent customer care. However, whoever is manufacturing these units are not doing a great job of quality control. Chinese made? Says so on the box, but the Flexcare says that the unit was assembled in the U.S. My original Sonicare was still working but I was getting tired of cleaning it and the brush was a bit heavy and cumbersome. My original Sonicare was over 12 years old and still doing well. Philips....you have a great product...please make a more reliable product.

Battery DIES in 2 YEARS Do NOT WASTE MONEY
Do your homework and research toothbrush reviews on the net. This toothbrush will last about 2 years then you will go to use it and the battery will not charge. A waste of money for something that craps out and stops charging all the sudden. Do not waste your money!!!!!! The sanatation devise is appealing, but think twice. We also have an Oral B toothbrush that has out lasted the life of the soniccare one. I highly recommend going with anything other than this soniccare toothbrush.

Better Than Brushing!!
I will never brush again! This is an excellent product and a bargain and once you use it, you will be hooked for life!!

Good but simpler would be better
I believe this tooth brush significantly improves my oral health as compared to a manual toothbrush.

It has more features than the Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite Power Toothbrush which means that it costs more and has an extra button which I accidentally press frequently which switches it to a different mode. All I use is the standard mode. The HealthyWhite would have been both cheaper and more convenient. I fell into the trap that says more features are better. I would choose the simpler is better choice if I was to do it over.

works well when it works...
Which is rare. Okay, normally, I wouldn't have given another philips product another shot given that I have had really bad experiences with their other products and they have all died very quickly with light use. Okay, I received this as a replacement due to a previous sonicare (which was a gift) malfunctioning. Okay, I thought it was a one off with the previous one so I thought okay, i'll give it a shot and it lasted way less time. This thing was dead in under 6 months. All I did that *could* have caused it something that would speak volumes to this thing. All I did that was "out of the ordinary" was wipe away some of the gunk accumulating between the brush and the handle with a napkin with some alcohol on it. Nothing too invasive. After this, it completely died. It took it about a week to go from weak vibrations to almost non-existant vibrations as in they were so faint that I could barely feel them there. It's inexcusable for a brush this expensive to die like this over just a simple cleaning (which I have done on everything from 20 dollar Oral B Vitality brushes to more expensive ones) with no issues but for this to die that quickly from the same level of treatment. This was my 2nd failure of a Sonicare (the 1st one just suddenly died after changing out heads as well). I will never buy another Sonicare product again, i'm going back to Oral B. That aside, if you are fine with frequent failures, I must admit their warranty service is good and the toothbrush does well at cleaning your teeth. Just don't invest in a lot of heads because you probably won't get the same model back in the warranty exchange (I didn't).

Overpriced items fails after one year
I purchased my Sonicare last April, 2009 on the advise of my dental hygienist. I was really delighted with the performance. I even stocked up on extra brushes when I could find a fair price. Unfotunately this product stopped performing just over a year after I purchased it. The battery is still functioning but it stopped vibrating the attached brush. You can still hear a slight murmur of the battery but no movement of the brush. What to do? How do I justify having extra brushes which cost about $60 that I will now have to either throw away or purchase another unit at over $100 and hope that it doesn't die after another short term use.

remarkable!
All I can say is WOW! this is an amazing device! I have had mine for nearly three weeks now and the difference is obvious. My teeth and gums look and feel better, and every time I use it, it feels like I just left the hygienists office. Even this little stain I have had most of life because of the way two teeth overlap, is shrinking to the point of disappearing! It is quite expensive, and I'm sure I won't get to spend as much time with my very cute, very sweet hygienist that cleans my teeth every six months. But I also have the feeling that I won't have to spend as much time with my not so cute, not so sweet, (although very good and professional) dentist! THAT will make whatever this thing costs, WORTH it!

Easy polishing.
You can polish your teeth rather than just brushing with this device.
Since the brush rattles, touching the brush to your teeth may cause noises.
Now, I use only two minutes for my teeth (exactly two minutes) after having this device.

I had a old Braun toothbrush that finally died. I got this as a replacement and it works well.

I bought this item & it works great. I like the front light that tells me its charging & the multiple heads for cleaning. Its easy & does its job. I'd recommend it.

Oral B is great for my mouth
Due to family heredity and some bad habits I have the start of gingivitis. My dentist recommended Oral B and I had the previous version of this brush for years before the battery quit. Because that version did not have the option to remove and replace the battery I had to upgrade. I have actually healed some of the damage to my teeth and gums with these products. I did try a lower version of Oral B's power toothbrushes and was not impressed, that went to someone else.

I am so glad I did, and I like the documentation, which is in English, Spanish, and French.

The brush heads sent with it are nice, especially for those who have not used any of them before. I do agree it is difficult to do the back teeth, but don't give up. Electric brushes take a bit of a learning curve.

I am also thrilled that this one has a wall mount.

I am a repeat buyer and user of Oral B products and plan to be for a long time.

I also am happy that this product arrived 3 days earlier than expected. I really like Amazon.
