Great unit for the cash
I bought one of these at Target for < $20 after reading reviews here. So far I really like this brush and it really cleans my teeth well. It moves quick enough to give the Sonic feel of the more expensive units. You can't go wrong buying one or even two of these!

Great "Special Needs" toothbrush
My daughter is 10 years old, and unable to brush her own teeth. We'd been struggling to brush her teeth using a manual tooth brush, and found that approach inadequate. We'd tried a Sonicare previously, but found the larger angled head difficult to use, and the vibration was so intense it would freak her out sometimes.

I selected this particular model because the head was small and rounded, making it seem a more comfortable option for my daughter. The results have been fabulous. Her mouth is far cleaner than before. Teeth appear a bit lighter, breath is much fresher, and she initiates tooth brushing every morning, which is new. For us this has been an excellent purchase. Had I known how much this simple change would change our dental routine, I'd have made it much earlier.

If you are responsible for another person's tooth care, I recommend this brush. The small rounded head is easier to negotiate, and more comfortable. The price makes it a safe gamble, and the functionality is excellent.

Better than Dual Clean
Per dentist's recommendation, I started using this and the results are very impressive. My teeth are visibly cleaner than they used to be with manual brushing. Even though I took utmost care during manual brushing, but still can't beat the advantages of the precision cleaning around the teeth & gums. As an experiment, I ordered Oral-B Vitality Dual Clean Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush (Colors May Vary) and then used Oral-B Precision Clean tooth brush refills, new package, 7 ct. And I found that the Precision clean is definitely better than the Dual Clean in terms of cleaning the hard-to-reach areas. However, life of Dual Clean is more than the Precision Clean. (And either of them is better than the manual brushing anyway)

Amazing Brush!
I've been using OralB brushes for 7 years and they're great; this is my second one; I've had it for three years (the other I've had for 7 and still works!). Battery's amazing; lasts for a really long time without keeping it plugged, as I brush often during the day. It's a really great pick given its electrical prowess and unbeatable price.

You'll wish you'd bought it sooner!
I thought I'd chime in here... I bought my Oral B rechargeable toothbrush almost 10 years ago... Yes, that's TEN years ago! And it' just now starting to die on me (thus why I'm here getting a new one). It has been dropped in a sink full of water by my kids, dropped on the floor, taken camping (where in its early years it held a charge for about 4 days), in numerous hotels, on a cruise and more! LOL It's been my faithful companion for these last ten years and the best $20 investment I've ever made! Well, actually, 10 years ago, I only paid $16.00 for it. I haven't had any cavities in the last 8 years and my dentist compliments my lack of tarter. Although I'm sure he misses my cavity business ($$). The small head is easy to manuever around in my mouth that I think it's easier to brush than with a standard "long" head brush. The vibrations are gentle and powerful leaving me with a super clean feeling without effort. My secret is that I rarely floss anymore either because the small head gets in between my teeth so well (shhh! I hate flossing!). The replaceable heads last me about 4 months... that's 3 per year. No big deal. I don't know how this toothbrush compares to high-end systems like Sonicare, but I can't imagine that anyone would need a toothbrush better than this for this price. I swear to you, get this. You will never regret it and you will tell strangers about it because you'll be so in love.

Disappointed
After using another Oral B Sonic toothbrush for years - and being totally satisfied - it finally gave up. It was a no-brainer to shop for another Oral B. This one caught my eye because it's small and not as ugly as the other options. Also, it's a good price.

Well, I've used it for a week, and I am completely disappointed. That "just from the dentist" feeling I'd grown used to with my old brush is completely gone. I don't get the impression this is even a sonic toothbrush. Sure, it vibrates and scrubs, but I don't detect that sonic pulse implied by the name "Pulsonic". It seems like I'm getting the same results as I could get with a regular 2 dollar brush.

I'm returning this and spending a few dollars more for a heftier sonic toothbrush. This one just wasn't worth it.

Big upgrade over Sonicare in one very important area
Big upgrade over Sonicare in one very important area - cleanliness. I used the Sonicare for years and found it extremely difficult to keep the brush head clean despite following all the various tips you can easily find with a quick google search. The brush would consistently grow mold over time regardless of how careful I was. While the Sonicare still has more bells and whistles overall (this could be due to model difference), I'm willing to sacrifice those little things for what I think is probably one of the two criteria that actually matter: 1) how well the brush cleans and 2) how clean the brush stays. By the way, the Oral B cleans teeth on par with Sonicare, in my own opinion.

Decent alternative
Used the Sonicare for many years and liked it, but the housing was stained and it was time to go bye bye. Oral B did a pretty good job of ripping off the Sonicare technology. What I did not like is that the Oral B didn't shut off automatically after 2 minutes like the Sonicare, plus the shutoff button accumulates toothpaste runoff in the process, which can be kind off gross to turn off. Maybe it is the shape of the Oral B brush, but it sometimes felt like it missed those hard to reach places too. Still a decent product with a decent price. If I had it to do over though, I would probably spend more money and buy the Sonicare again.

Best deal, Top performance
I have been very lucky with Amazon and prices. This was delivered quickly, $25 less costly than anywhere else, and the OralB performs much better than the lower end models.

Second Time With This Item
I bought this as a direct replacement of the first one, which was recommended by my dentist. It lasted two years before the battery would no longer hold a charge. That wasn't very good, but I like the way it works, and my checkups have been good since using it - much better than when I was using a manual brush, and that's the bottom line for me. We'll see if this one lasts longer. Amazon's price on sale was about 25% less than Target or Walmart. I find I replace the brush head about twice as frequently (about 6 weeks) as recommended by Oral B. It pays to buy them in bulk at a wholesale club.

Very pleased
This is our third brush of this type in fifteen years not. I think the warnings are a bothersome the two minute was all that was needed. Also we don't think the extra speed settings are that useful.

I had been using a Sonicare Power Toothbrush for 5 years before switching over to the Oral-B. This switch was based on the suggestion of my dentist. He feels that the Sonicare just does not work as well as the Oral-B and the upkeep with the Oral-B would be easer. After using the Oral-B for three months, I have to agree with my dentist. The upkeep is much easer as the head of the brush is removable not allowing gunk and mildew to build up inside the handle. With the Sonicare toothbrush, I had to unscrew the head from the handle once a week and using a Q-tip, wipe the inside clean from the buildup. This was quite an annoying task and consumed 15 to 20 minutes each time. With the Oral-B, this is not possible because the thin brush head is removed every time after use and stored within the self contained holder making the clean up very easy. Another point I would like to make, is the brush heads cost much less that the Sonicare ones making this brush more economical to own. All in all, I am very happy I switch to the Oral-B.

Good toothbrush - but....
Works as advertised - but this was purchased for use at home and travel and the charger is only 110V so it's no good for anywhere using 220/240V power. This should be noted on the product detail - and no excuse Braun for not having a multi-voltage charger :(

Great Toothbrush - Don't think twice about getting one
I bought the Oral-B Triumph toothbrush back in August of 2009 and after about 3 days of use was totally hooked on the thing. I brook down and bought the version with the SmartGuide. My thought was what the heck even though I thought I did not require it. I have say that there have been times when I would have stopped brushing before 2 minutes are up because I thought 2 minutes had gone by. Note that the toothbrush pulsates every 30 seconds so you know when to switch quadrants and pulsates three times at the two minute mark, so you don't really need the SmartGuide. It is still nice to check while brushing and the clock is a nice feature as well. For Christmas I got my wife the same toothbrush, but it now seems to be called the 5000. I have to say it is hard to figure out all the models and sets Oral-B creates. I told my wife that when you first use the toothbrush you will feel as if your teeth are going to shake right out of your mouth and she agreed. After a couple of uses, you become totally use to the brush. I have read negative reviews in which people stated this toothbrush makes their gums bleed, I can only assume they have gum problems and brushing action was too much for their gums. Without a doubt my teeth are much cleaner with this brush. I am not always good about flossing, and I would notice that when I got around to flossing again after period of not flossing that my gums were sore the following day. I noticed tarter build up as well. With the Triumph/5000, I never notice these problems now. Of course this toothbrush is not a substitute for not flossing, but I feel it really helps if you don't always floss. Our kids have now used our toothbrushes as well for the last few months and most importantly they are brushing for a full two minutes. Prior to this my son was closer to bushing for 10 seconds than 2 minutes. I figured too that the newness of the brush would have worn off with them, but they still seem to like it. Battery life is good as well. I get about 11 days between charges, but I also brush between 2.5 minutes and 3 minutes every time I brush. With that factored in I would say a 2 minute brusher would get pretty close to 2 weeks on a charge. Bottom line is this is a great product. So much so that I hauled it with me on an 8-day trip to Europe, and it went in my backpack not my checked luggage. I still take a manual toothbrush on overnight trips, but I sure hate not having this toothbrush with me.

Pretty good toothbrush
I got this a couple of months ago. It felt kind of crazy to spend $100+ on a toothbrush, but I had some money in a health spending account to use up. I read a lot of reviews before buying.

Pros: My teeth feel very clean after using. It can reach places that a regular toothbrush couldn't. The construction feels pretty strong and reliable. I like the external readout, and having a clock in the bathroom is handy.

Cons: Expensive. The feel in the hand is a little big and clunky. All the various speed settings seem a little pointless...probably one or two settings would be fine. The flossing brush head doesn't feel like it really flosses/gets between teeth, the polishing brush head doesn't seem like it does anything special. I mostly stick w/ the sensitive brush head.

If it lasts me 5 years and results in good checkups, it will have been worth it.

A Clear Winner
I purchased this as part of a program to improve my oral health--Not just my teeth, but my gums & tongue as well. This brush does a great job of thoroughly cleaning your teeth w/o hurting your gums. The timer that directs you to switch from one quadrant to another, every thirty seconds is a good reminder. And the red light that flashes when too much pressure is applied is quite handy.

In addition to switching my toothbrush, I also changed my toothpaste to Jason's Healthy Mouth. After using the new toothbrush & toothpaste for approximately three months, I visited my Hygienist for a cleaning. Unprompted, she told me that I had the healthiest teeth/gums of any of her patients. And that assessment still holds true after almost two years.

One last note: If you've got a youngster who needs to learn to brush all quadrants w/o applying too much pressure, purchase an extra toothbrush head and let your child give it a try. It worked for my guy.

Lean,mean brushing machine
This Oral B electric toothbrush is so thorough. While deep cleaning mode is preferred, this toothbrush has 4 other modes for polishing, whitening, massaging the gums, and a sensitive mode. I love the way my teeth feel after using it. It comes with a "Smart guide" that shows where you are supposed to place the toothbrush and for how long, before moving on to another quadrant in your mouth. It signals the change to the next quadrant by making a noise, and it shows on the Smart Guide as well. After the 2 minutes are up, it displays a smiley face and if you go beyond the 2 minutes, it winks at you. I absolutely love this toothbrush(my first one), and I am extremely happy I made this purchase.

Extremely pleased
I've used another very good rechargeable toothbrush for a number of years.
I thought it was the best until my hygenist suggested the Oral-B.
So,after doing a lot of research, I finally decided to purchase the Oral-B P.C.SS. 5000.
Each time I brush it feels as though I've just had my teeth cleaned professionaly. I can see and feel the cleaniness as well as my teeth being whiter without doing anything other than brushing.

Wow, great toothbrush!
I went to the dentist and they told me I needed a deep cleaning, which costs around $250. I decided to try this toothbrush instead. I used it for two weeks while flossing every night and went back to the dentist. They said all I need know is a normal cleaning. Thank you, Sonicare!

Philips Sonicare Flexcare
This is the best Philips Sonicare I have used. I have had the older models that were more bulky.I would definitely recommend this model to anybody that would want a quality toothbrush.

Last version was good, this is better
I've used Sonicare for a while. The biggest drawback was the screw-on top. It meant you really needed one each and it was not entirely hygenic as fluid got trapped inside the head. The new model fixes that. Heads snap on and off so it's easy to share a single handset and the travel pack is much more compact and accomodates two brush heads. They must have listened to feedback. This time it's 100%.

Excellent Product!! A MUST HAVE!!!
I have been MORE than satisfied with this purchase....the unit functions perfectly and Amazon's service was excellent, but more important is the fact that I feel like I've been to the dentist EVERY morning and evening after using it....my teeth feel completely smooth and I can't feel any residual plaque build up! I definately recommend using this product.

I prefer the compact brush. It makes it much less awkward when moving the brush along your teeth...because the standard brush is longer it makes it more difficult to reach the inside contours of your teeth!

Works real well

i'm obsessed with my clean teeth
I love this toothbrush! My teeth (and gums) have never felt better. I was concerned that my gums would hurt when I first used it, but it's gentle enough to not hurt whilst still making your teeth feel AMAZING. I also bought the whitening attachments and I swear my teeth are whiter after using it once. There is nothing I would change about this product...

Clean-clean teeth!
I am so surprised at how clean my teeth felt after just 3 uses. I have a problem with plaque behind my lower front teeth. Usually a week after I go to the hygenist they just don't feel clean. Since using the Oral B Vitality Dual Clean, every day feels like I just had my teeth professionally cleaned. The charger is great and holds a charge even longer than the paperwork said it would.
It doesn't get all the particles out from between the teeth, so I would suggest you floss first.

Been using it for 3 months without any problems. The first time using it I was very surprized by how much power it has. It made my gums bleed a little at first. Cleans teeth, gums and toung really well. It is left on the charger when not in use so I can't say how long the battery will last between charges. Not to crazy about the sea green color so it is beeing rated at 4 stars Dont turn it on before getting brush inside your mouth or the toothpast can end up on the counter or you.

A reasonably priced toothbrush with features of more expensive models

The toothbrush comes with one replaceable head, convenient travel case and charge base.

After trying this product for about a month now, every time I use it, I still get that "clean from the dentist" feel. I use it twice a day and can get more than a weeks worth of use before charging the battery.

I noticed there were some comments regarding cleaning the brush heads. It is not that hard, wipe it with a cloth or run the water like any other toothbrush. Unscrew it one a week and clean the inside. It's a great product for the money.

This is the 2nd one of these that I have owned. I am completely sold on the quality of the toothbrush. Warning, there will be an adjustment period while you get used to the cleaning action of the sonic brush. Your teeth and gums will feel clean, like never before (or like after going to the dentist for a cleaning) in only 2 minutes. This brush does not have the quad pacer feature (every 30 seconds you hear a tone telling you to brush in another quadrant of your mouth). It does have a 2 minute timer though, so its nearly the same. Recharges very well in the base. Does not have the issue with water intrusion like the $29.99 battery operated one that you can buy the cheapest. Believe me, I tried one. You are better off buying this model. It will last longer, and deliver higher quality brushings day after day after day. You will save money at the dentist too with better check ups. Buy this model, you won't be disappointed, and you can pay more if you want and not get a better brush overall.

Best toothbrush
I have had a sonicare for about 15 years this is probably my 3rd or 4th. You could never go back to a regular toothbrush. I had to buy a new one as I left it in the hotel room.

Best Toothbrush I ever used.
This toothbrush is the best. My hygienist recommended it s the best and she was right! I've been using it for couple of years and I'm still happy. Perfect amount of power and the built in timer helps to keep me brushing for the full two minutes. My kids and wife also like this model. My only complaint is that the replacement heads are expensive.

Haven't Received Credit from returned items
The product was what I expected but I had to return it within 30 days timeframe due to it being a gift which wasn't wanted. Still waiting for the credit to be applied to my credit card and it's been 7 weeks since I returned the items. Don't plan on getting your money back if you have to return the item.

Nice upgrade!
WOW....sleeker design than my previous Sonicare and so much better having the sanitizer attached and not a separate device. Best part of the new design? The fact that you don't have to clean the inside of the unit anymore!!!!!! The new toothbrush just snaps on and you don't have to unscrew the brush head. No interior cleaning--what a pain that was!! Performance of the toothbrush is far superior as well. I highly recommend.

Sonicare Tooth Brush
Had the last model, think called elite, and it worked great for 3 or 4 years until it died in India. Wasn't brushing out of the Yamuna or Ganga river water either. The new model is easier to hold, has soft brush for gums as well as teeth. It's lighter. These features may not be important but together, despite recommendations I can brush in 30 seconds or less if pushed. Makes mouth and gums feel good.

The New Toothbrush
I've tried other electric toothbrushes from time to time and was always disappointed with them. recently my hygienist told me to try this one and at first I was put off by the price. I'm really glad that I bit the bullet and bought it. I am completely satisfied!!

My teeth feel cleaner than they ever have and with the sanitizer i feel more comfortable about using it even though I have a cold right now.

A really great product!!!

Cleans teeth better
This was recommended by our hygenist. Since my husband and I have both had sinus infections this winter, the sanitizer has been wonderful. you can make sure your brushes are clean and sanitized and will not transfer germs back into your mouth. As for the Sonic toothbrush, it makes my teeth feel cleaner than they have ever been. My teeth are very close together and I am unable to get between them. With the Sonicare food stuck between my teeth comes out with no problem.

Best Toothbrush Ever.
This toothbrush is amazing. Better than any other electronic toothbrush on the market. You will feel a significant difference in cleanliness when you use this compared to a regular toothbrush. The sanitizer also works great too.

Better than the older models
I've used the first generation for years and was satisfied. This newer version is lighter, faster and definitely feels like it is cleaning more efficiently.

This is the first sonic toothbrush I've owned and used. I'm loving it and would recommend to anyone. No issues or durability concerns.

great value for the best electric toothbrush
This product is the best electric toothbrush on the market. You never realize how long it takes to brush your teeth properly until you have the timed toothbrush that is counting on you to brush for 2 minutes. It is easy to use (once you get used to the rapid brushing action) and easy to clean. Your mouth is fresh and your teeth will be shining!

It broke. Now what?
It's a great product but the stem onto which the brush fits and which enters the handle seems to be now disjointed in the handle so that the motion no longer transfers to the brush. There is no info about the warrantee on the product nor is there info on just buying a replacement handle "flexcare(non-plus) without the sanitizer nor the 2nd handle. Since I can get two handles and the sanitizer plus brushes for $129, I would think I could get just a replacement handle but there's no info on this on the Amazon site which shows the handle by itself but when clicked on takes you to the page with the whole unit. The Phillips site also show the handle separately but refers to vendors for pricing.

Sonicare
Nice unit, works great. The only con is it is very easy to hit the function button while in use causing the output to change.
